Hmm.. just replying in this comment chain, the only thing you addressed were his views on depression, what are his blunders regarding postmodernism? I know a lot less about that but it's a lot more common complaint of Peterson's although rarely does anyone go into any detail.

Men and woman and very similar but also have many slight physical and mental differences. Feminist writers probably have lists on this under "male privilege" theory. Different social expectation and treatment between men and woman happen in every culture. When you say "superior", you're implying that one is better than the other. But when you're comparing multidimensional things, then it isn't helpful to try and evaluate which one is the absolute superior. Certain tools are superior for certain …

Everything you just said can be condensed down to "JBP has accurately determined that religion is one such means of societal control Yeah that was a really long-winded response, but I'm writing it on mobile so i end up saying the same thing in different ways because it isn't all on the screen at once and i forget what I've said already. Care to discuss the intended consequences of keeping western society the way that it is? I'm not arguing for maintaining Western society and its flaws/features, …

I think the point that Peterson is making is that the foundation of Western Civilization had something right about the social structure of families that was embedded in their religions. Your don't have to be a religious fundamentalist to benefit from the positive moral and community structures that Western religion provides. It's a strawman to say that religious people all deny science and brainwash their children into having meaningless lives of servitude. Most followers are more moderate and m…

Depression isn't caused by one thing and it isn't as simple to fix as you make it sound. SSRI's aren't a lock & key solution to chemical depression. It's more complicated and I'm not implying I understand it either. I think the confusion is that the biological depression you're referring to is the same as the chemical. The biology (genetics) leads to a chemical imbalance. I believe these are the same thing. I know he says that depression runs deeply in his family so you're correct that the depre…

Try to not gossip negatively about coworkers. If they're complaining about someone, don't say more than you need to. If you have a reputation of being the bigger person, people won't try to drag you down with their bullshit. Don't take sides and be forgiving. You're there to make money

I always hear vague accusations of his misinterpreted views on postmodernism but never any precise criticisms to chew on. What exactly do you think he blundered? And what's the point you're making about him having depression? Are you trying to say that he should be immune to it?

Why is this question even important? No one is superior, this is just the situation everyone is in because of game theory. Woman invest more into a potential relationship if they're risking pregnancy, guys can have more relationships without the consequence of getting pregnant. So naturally woman need to be more selective. Guys have strengths and opportunities that girls don't have and vice versa. You could argue who is "superior" forever but you'd be arguing about different things. There's more…

Don't label yourself with "men's rights supporter" or people will use that to justify shunning you. Just support what you believe in and ask questions when someone says something that feels off. It's too easy to check someone's profile and then say "gotcha! This person is the enemy because they're wearing the enemy's uniform". If you want people to listen, I think it's more effective to not take on labels because they'll have to actually understand what you're saying instead.

Yeah, planning on having your boss overhear you letting the asain girl go is not very believable. You wouldn't jump into one of your manager's hopefully private meeting without being asked and you wouldn't brainstorm about finding someone who they are firing a different position on the spot in front of them.

This sounds like comic book villainy lol. "She'll know you're weaknesses better than you do!" "She'll betray you when you least expect it!" Calm down a bit... You think girls are just planning it from the beginning? Isn't it more possible you just fall out of love with someone and want an excuse to break up? I'm not trying to say some women wouldn't do that. It just felt like reading a comic book the way you described it.

You need to stop being pissed off or pretend you aren't at work for good sakes. If your coworkers see you acting upset or giving into the gossip then they'll assume what she said was true. Just literally disengage and pretend she doesn't exist. You need to keep a smile on your face and stop acting upset at this girl. You are going to win the long game, you just have to stop yourself from escalating this thing. Any emotion invoked from you is a victory for her. You need to reaffirm to her that yo…

If you both lay the text message evidence on the table without any other context you can prove she is being irrational and bugging you on vacation. But that's the thing.. virgin girls are the worst for LTR because they have no idea what to do in a relationship. You'll literally be dating a girl who gets all her ideas on what a relationship is supposed to be from TV. Some experience is good. You don't go from virgin to used up hoe overnight. Find something in the middle who isn't a complete religious fanatic.

I don't think the average trp male realistically would want to wait until marriage for sex, so it's strange that these woman are praised as marriage material when realistically nobody gives a fuck if you're a virgin once you're out of high school. You think the alpha male can completely sustain himself on virgin girls because they're obviously the best. Fuck that lol. Or do they just start caring once they're 35 and looking to settle down? There's tons of places on college to meet people. Literally hundreds of unique clubs to join. Find something that doesn't focus on drinking of you don't want to drink. It's not weird at a party but you will get asked a couple times about it. That can even be an ice breaker.

Very introspective. I love your interpretation on loneliness and expectations. It seems like a great way to identify the root of an unsatisfied feeling. I think you kind of trail off a bit late in the post by going into too much detail about social anxiety. Not sure if it's a cultural thing, but I've never seen anyone persue sex solely for bragging rights like a fucking bounty hunter lol. I hope that isn't the norm elsewhere. The only motivation I've seen for sex is sexually enjoyment. Obviously there's more to it, but from what I've experienced, it's surprising to think that anything larger than a small minority would persue sex for more than just their own enjoyment. When someone in a video game "rapes" someone, they're not referring to the old definition even though it kind of applies. It's a derivative of the modern sexual rape definition that they just started applying to a crushing defeat. It's come full circle, not gone back.

Don't treat your girl friends like friends, make a clear move that conveys what you are looking for that cannot be misinterpreted. Instead of wasting months of time trying to decipher her body language, just bring the conversation that you want to have right to the table. If someone else is talking about a topic that you are knowledgeable about and saying something incorrect or that you disagree with, your first instinct may be to correct them, but instead just ask them a question about why they chose X over Y or whatever disagreement you have without leveraging your experience or knowledge on the subject beforehand. I remember watching a documentary about the number gangs that rule south african prisons. The member that the reporter is interviewing is literally going on and on about how he'll rape all these dudes that come in. It's just terrible, they don't stand a chance. I'll have to find the link. The prison warden was saying he was aware of it, but to paraphrase, he wanted to be on good terms with them so he turns a blind eye to that in order for them to cooperate with him in other matters.

It really depends on the motivation of the individual. there are multiple benefits to self-improvement. It will help you get women, and it will improve your own value. both are positive. Working out and eating well will increase your chances of getting women, and it also improve your life. If the total result is worth the cost, then do it. TRP heavily suggests self-improvement. It increases your own value which in turn attracts more women.

You really aren't worth talking to if you can't agree on even an inch of middle ground for me to work with. Is it disrespectful to the family of the deceased to post their images online to be wanked to by strange men? Would they most likely not care, or be unset with this action?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/14 06:41 AM

Because in our culture it is a very widely accepted custom to respect dead family and loved ones. Would you stop caring about your parents the second they die? Do you truly believe that a mother wouldn't take offense to seeing pictures of her dead daughter posted online in order to be wanked over? From personal experiences in dealing with lost family members, I highly doubt anyone would be okay with this happening from her immediate family. I would go further as to say that it would hurt the fam…

You're talking very specifically about this particular case, I'm saying in a more general sense if you're experiencing a home invasion. In this particular case, you don't shoot someone who is running away or has given up, especially not when they are outside your home. It was the old guy's mistake to talk about it and do that in the first place. But it is also dangerous to let them return to their vehicle because they could get weapons and they already have a motive to kill you. It is especially…

There is certainly a difference between a challenging job for X pay and a physically demanding job for X pay. I couldn't get a job as a NFL player because I suck at football although it pays millions of dollars. Well could you further explain your motivation for this statement then? I don't really understand why flipping the sexes would change the relationship type. You know it take two to tango, A hookup is a +1 for men and women and a LTR is a +1 for men and women. You can't say either gender hooks up more because you need one of each to make it happen. All answers to questions are my own opinions are may not be shared with TRP. I can only speak for me. 1.A man cheating on his girlfriend I find this immoral. If you enter into a formal relationship with someone, you agree not to cheat. 2.A girl friendzoning a boy or sending a boy into orbit I don't care either way, that's the boy's problem. Ya, a lot of what TRP pushes for is self-improvement and confidence. both positive on either side of the board. But getting a one-night stand or hookup isn't nearly as challenging for the average women as compared to the average man. Usually the "game" is men trying to get women because of the social culture of men chasing women. If you made a subreddit for women about how to get guys, you wouldn't really have to try hard. Step one, ask for sex. step two, receive. It wouldn't even take 5 minutes…

I think this is the best way to approach a conversation with someone that you know will blindly oppose your view. just keep asking innocent questions and eventually they'll contradict themselves and you say "but wait! i'm confused about this, that doesn't make sense... help me understand why." and then it starts a strange tangle of logic that you politely nod your head to until they get tired of talking.

Being in a relationship doesn't make you immune to depression. Whether she contributed to the cause or helped him, we won't know and it's unfair to assume one or the other without evidence. It isn't confirmed that his depression was solely caused by his divorces, the most recent was 4 years ago! A quick look at Alpha and Beta is about respect. Betas allow people to disrespect them and put themselves in positions where they are being disrespected. Alpha behavior is being treated respectfully and not allowing people to continually be disrespectful towards you. By that quick definition, women can be just as beta or alpha as men. The kid should have just left. the father should not have shot unless the kid was physically attacking his daughter. they were clearly just trying to have sex. pulling the trigger was in rage, not safety.

I'm honestly here to learn and I don't know why it is so rare to see someone admit they were wrong on the internet. maybe everything i've ever been told was written with a certain bias so seeing that video really is interesting to get a different perspective.

I would classify not being to speak your mind as oppression to an extent. I understand not saying offensive or inciting things, but having the freedom to talk and be talked to like a person who's opinion is valued is a pretty nice thing to have. google defines oppression as "prolonged cruel or unjust treatment or control." control over speech was a mild example, not the flagship of my post. only a weak man has to beat his wife to achieve dominance That doesn't make her un-beaten. i'm talking dow…

Checking out those links, i'll make a reply when i'm done. EDIT: the "trading up, instead of down" line really hit home in reference to how women wanted to switch places with men now because the technological advances as well as other developments made living as a male much easier, but they didn't before when things were tough for men. This video is very informative, you're correct. Thanks for the link! It illustrates well that women had been provided for and men had it pretty shitty, a good exa…

The world has never, ever catered to males. A little short-sighted don't you think? Women haven't even been able to vote for as long as men. Women are still oppressed in many societies around the world. It hasn't even been too long in America that they've been treated "equally" and worshiped for their vaginas. This promiscuous trend isn't that old. I agree that men have always provided for women, but you can't say that women never got a shitty deal in societies where they are put in the corner a…

I don't really like using the word "virgin" negatively. There should be a time when you have it and a time when you don't and the lines aren't clear. Socially the pressure to lose it starts even before high school. You should be getting women for yourself, not because the societal pressure to have sex. I say this because there's 12 year olds having sex way too soon just because they want to shrug that label and essentially "ascend" out of that ridiculed group. Let your own sex drive push you for…

My answer was "A lady shouldn't ask and a gentleman wouldn't tell" sarcastically. Honestly as long as you don't say ignorant things about it or have a terrible poker face, no one is going to question you. Your body language probably showed you were nervous. Lie if you want, but honestly some girls don't care. If you've already got her pants off when she asks, she's not going to stop you dependent on your answer. Also, I do not suggest talking about past sexual encounters at all with women. Even …

What does this have to do with feminism or female thinking? Yes, that's a women that runs and the man is the hero, but i'm sure quite a few men would also run away from a gun. so she didn't say anything? Shock and the immediate need to protect yourself blinds out logical thinking. I'd have probably jumped the fuck backwards too. Can't tell you the degree that I would have been alarmed, but this isn't just something a women would do. It's like you posted this just because she looks bad. suddenly …

Also go eat a dick and check how old my username is What are you trying to prove with the age of your account? To me, this sounds like a WoW player trying to show off his shiny armor. Also, checking my post history and making generalizations about the probably 2 posts you read really doesn't give you a good picture of who I am. Stop attacking my account, this isn't a status game. The post I wrote stands on its own, It doesn't matter who wrote it. You can get a pretty good sense how mature someon…

If she wants to go out, I know this is going to sound absolutely fucking bananas but she could ask to go out too and since she wanted to go out. Why should I be the one paying ? I've read so many times on here that the man needs to be assertive and make plans if he wants a date. Tell her this is what he's doing, and give an exact time. Is this the wrong way to go about a date? I've read about the rule of 2/3'rds and giving out the correct amount of reward for their affection. Just saying "we're …

First half of your post was interesting, but the rest sounded like I was getting cootie lessons from a COD player. I'm not watching Fox news, I don't need biased adjectives and persuasive writing. Just give me the fucking truth and quit acting like "420blazeit bro". A bullet point of "Women are too stupid to get checked for STDs" doesn't really stand well on its own. Especially when the source you provide says that women get checked up more often than men. Have fun watching her lose her hair, an…

never pay for dinner or other "gifts" What? What's the problem with picking up the bill every once in a while? Of course not every time, but treating your girlfriend to dinner isn't a terrible beta thing to do. I'd say it's expected if you're looking to continue your relationship. You're not spoiling her, but damn, take her out on a date. By most of society, you'd be considered cheap and rude if you never treated your girlfriend to dinner. I understand that the reasons for these actions don't ma…

Shouldn't be a big problem. If you still look fine and they know the crutches are temporary then I don't know why they'd have any lower opinion of you. Maybe it'll be a conversation starter. Explain how it happened and why you got surgery.

Move on, maybe she'll contact you for something more than a free drink after she realizes you're not coming back. Talk to new women. Don't burn your bridges for casual sex with her though. Just don't give her any attention until she starts putting out. She's using you. When looking for a girl, an important question to ask is "where is she getting her dick from?" if it's not you, then it's someone else. If this girl isn't playing other guys, then she might come back. If not, she's on to the next …

Not that funny. Just pretty insulting towards the woman there. There's no depth to the jokes at all. Just blatant questions that a feminist would get upset at. I'd rather see hampstering.

How does one end "fat shaming" and "slut shaming"? Isn't it just natural that a male would attempt to find a female that he finds attractive and worth his effort? is there someway to brainwash a kid so that they will prefer larger women or women that are easy? I feel like it's all about it being socially acceptable to be fat or a slut, not if you'll fuck/date them.

I have a buddy that's an estimator for a construction company. They sub-contract smaller companies to come in at different times to do different jobs. Like they'll schedule the electrician to come in a day after a plumber and basically coordinate the construction of different jobs. He told me that of all the jobs, they have to hire 8% of companies owned by women, and 10% by a minority. Because of this, these companies will bid 20% higher on every job possible and people are forced to take them i…

Having training in a martial art teaches you how to react correctly to each different situation and body position. If you don't know what you're doing, you could constantly be weakening your position or putting yourself into an easy submission unintentionally. You also wouldn't be expecting certain throws or holds because you haven't seen them before. like knowing to keep your arm out of a certain position that could be used against you.

I think you showed a little too much of your hand. I would not have told her that you removed her to stop from spam messaging her, even if that is the reason, it gives her power. you want her to think that you removed her because you didn't think you were going to get anything from her and that you were done. She obviously wants sex, but she's trying to create a power position and if you let her win, she's not going to stick around. You need to show that you're not going to put up with a girl th…
