Oh ok. Well my cousins in Pakistan have all of those modern appliances. Moreover, they even have a servant who does all their house chores. And they still are housewives lol 😆

You will be sent if hell if you do not follow Quran. That’s common knowledge. Admit it, you just don’t want to fulfil your responsibility God has commanded you to do.

I wouldn’t mind tbh. I don’t care what they think of me.

You are being brainwashed by the devil. And you are making excuses to not fulfil your responsibilities. I will show you the Quran quote again: “But the father of the child shall bear the cost of the mother’s food and clothing.” Remember, if you do not follow Quranic rules, you will have a miserable afterlife. Just a warning

Like I said, I am a Muslimah. And I believe the man MUST work (women don’t have to). It’s how it’s been for thousands of years. Man has always been provided. If we go against nature, society will decay (exactly what’s happening now lol)

For the millionth time, I am not a western-style feminist

“But the father of the child shall bear the cost of the mother’s food and clothing” [Quran] And of course, if you don’t follow Quran you will go to hell. Khadijah CHOSE to have her own business. Many women prefer being housewives but their husband don’t let them these days. Which is very sinful.

To be obedient to her husband (as long as he doesn’t go against Islam or do any harm to her)

What if the woman today doesn’t work. Would you pay for her lol? Honestly I am sick of the expectation that women should handle profession, house chores, childcare. It’s ridiculous Feminists have made our life more difficult

Well I’m a Muslim and islamically, I am 100% entitled to my husband’s wealth. We believe that it is a man’s duty to provide shelter, clothing and food to his wife. And if he refuses (unfortunately something a lot of men do today), he will have to face a very severe punishment on day of judgement and afterlife from God. Why are we entitled to his money? If a woman can endure 9 months of pregnancy burden, childbirth trauma and etc just to give birth to your child (with your surname), you should be…

I come from a family of Pakistani immigrants In my family, no woman ever had a professional job. My great grandmas, grandmas, aunts, mother… they’re all housewives. I am the first-generation working woman. Even in the west, it was common for women not to have professional jobs (pre 1960s) It seems to me like the only time men want equality is when it comes to paying bills 😅. Well that’s too bad, if a guy ever asks me to split bill on a date, I just walk out on him and block his number

My grandpa didn’t have to pay for car insurance but he has 10 kids. He paid for everyone’s medical fees, school fees, allowance for school lunch, college fees (yes, even college fees). My grandmother DID make fresh bread three times daily. So does my mom. And I will too lol. I’m Pakistani American and we eat a flatbread called “roti”. And we make it fresh everyday 😀 However, she also had servants at home who used to assist her with house chores. They were a middle class family. In Pakistan, both…

Economy isn’t helpful ?? Hun, men 100 years ago weren’t rich either 😅. But they still worked HARD to provide for their family. And tbh I’m not the type of girl who craves luxury things like Rolls Royce or a Gucci purse. I just want a normal, comfortable lifestyle But ya, there are still men out there who actually prefer their wife not working. And they are able to manage it. It just depends on the man tbh

It’s because of western feminism of course. In our generation, it’s obviously the norm for women to work. Things have changed a lot in just one generation in Muslim American community. My mom doesn’t work a professional job, neither do any of my aunts, or my grandmothers. However, me and my sister do (kind of have to 😕) I believe men don’t want to provide for their family simply because they don’t want responsibility. They want to split the burden with their wife. Back in the day, if a man asked…

I’m a Muslim woman and have never experienced chivalry :( And I have noticed that many Muslim men are not accepting their role as providers these days

I’m a Pakistani American woman and a beg to differ. I guess it’s upto you if you think a woman’s education and career are more important. In my experience, men care more about looks. That’s good for me tbh because I’m not very ambitious lol !

I certainly am not 🙂 But men like to step all over nice women and they’re nice to rude women. Maybe I should change myself 😅

And ?? Indians have an older civilization than white civilization. The earliest civilization in India was like 7,000 BC. During that time, white people were just walking through jungles and doing “ooga booga” rituals 😅

Affirmative action here means that universities/colleges can legally discriminate against whites and Asians to give Latinos and African Americans more opportunities. Not fair 😑

You may be right. But the reality is most women in Pakistan have no interest in joining the workforce. Most just stay home with their kids after marriage.

They try to do this in USA as well. Particularly in the medical field. Even after all the effort to encourage women to become surgeons, they are still a minority lol. Even in the new generation. Men still make up the highest numbers of neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons. Men make up like 75% of orthopedic/neurosurgery interns in the country. Their specialties are the highest earning in the field and can make up to $600,000 annually. But I think women are not interested because the hours are c…
