1	Women destroyed me. Good question, I'm not totally sure! I just went with a psychiatrist because I was so depressed I figured having the option to have drugs prescribed would be good. I literally just googled around and tried the highest rated office I found between google reviews and healthgrades.com - went for a location in the wealthier part of town, too. 1	Women destroyed me. Hey man. I got separated from my STBX wife last May, and we're finalizing divorce in the coming months. I feel the same way. Started seeing a psychiatrist, who got me on a med that helped me feel okay, which was an improvement. Started Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well. All of these are just kind of steps and bandaids toward wellbeing, combined with new habits and working on examining my changing philosophies. 7	Volunteering in a primarycare doctors office for 2 years opened my eyes... I've never even heard of volunteering at a family practice. I've volunteered at a hospital in the ER and was limited to handing out blankets, water, and other little pleasantries. I'm 30 and just started taking an SSRI this year, following a lifetime of depression (ever since puberty). I would be dead if not for this assistance in discovering a baseline of normalcy that it turns out most people naturally feel.
