ask a girl if she would hook up with an attractive guy that is socially awkward. nope.

you gotta close the deal somehow. that's a part of putting yourself out there.

women wait for subtle cues about a man's self-esteem. if an attractive guy doesn't put out the right vibe, she's not coming up to him.

depends on his upbringing. maybe his parents didn't show him love. maybe he was rejected by kids during adolescence. it can be a death of a close one too. there could be several reasons why his self-esteem is low. the same rules can be applied to attractive women. if kids don't feel a sense of feeling loved or belonging, they could easily have self-esteem problems during adulthood.

yes, i agree that settling is what forms a relationship. you just have to choose wisely and hope they choose you back for the right reasons. from what i've read, as long as there is trust, understanding, respect, and a common goal for the relationship, the odds greatly increase for a lasting relationship. and that love actually grows from this down the road (but not immediately). you don't have to love them before settling but they have to have all the values you seek in a long-term partner.

Attractive guys that don't put themselves out there have problems too.

whenever you see a guy hitting a boxing bag, or moving logs, or lifting heavy things... does it turn you on? why or why not? i get a lot of looks from women in my cardio boxing class, more than any other place. the instructor even gives me that glassy-eyed look, and i do see her looking my way as i box. does a man's ability to appear powerful raise his attraction to a woman? what if the guy had an ugly face?

i think a lot of men that date those types don't know their dating that type. probably due to lack of dating experience. but i'm sure there are some dudes that will specifically date gold diggers. if you know a guy that's dating a gold digger (and he knows he is), maybe you should ask him why he's dating her and respond back to this thread.

so i'm 47m. i'm a software engineer and make 120k. i'm pretty average, athletic, single, no kids, and have had 8 failed relationships since 18. i worked hard to get where i'm at and it got me nowhere with women. however it did land me my own 3 bedroom house, a rivian r1t, a sport bike, and several investments. these are nice to have but honestly, i can be just as happy living in a small closet with a small, used truck. from my experience, a job does not attract a family woman. a job only attract…

from my experience, try your best to forget her from your life. it hurts like hell, but you can do it. i just recently got a dog. it has given me more love and affection than any girl has ever given me in my life. bjj, boxing, and pickleball has helped me out tremendously by learning new skillsets and gaining confidence. the most important thing, try your best to not isolate yourself by staying at home in front of the tv.

I'm a 46 yr old man raised by a single mother. We do have self esteem, confidence, self identity problems if we aren't around a good male figure during adolescence. My mom was a workaholic that never talked to me. She was really quiet and we never had conversations. Both parents not being there for me emotionally led me to doubt being a loveable and worthy person. I also wasn't accepted by my peers which also hurt. I decided to focus on my own goals, and veer away from any sort of social activit…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
