"Interest groups" are optional; i.e., no one is "forced" to participate in them (such as "man camps"), and choose them via their own esoteric proclivities and values (i.e., psychographics). Those in leadership positions enforce change, and most subjected to their policies are not offered "choice"-- whether they elected them or not-- and regardless of political affiliation ("Leftie" is not even defined).
