He's trying to prove that he is actually woke because he is racist.

I don't see where in the article you linked it talks about "bouncing back stronger". Basically, all of point 7. "A successful healing can transform a damaged partnership into a sacred union. Many couples have told us that in the end, the crisis that came from the betrayal ultimately led to a profound deepening of the love and trust that they both currently share." t even talks about being honest and not hiding anything. Yes, of course. I'm not saying honesty is not important, but the point is th…

If you don't follow through with your punishments on children it'd be the same. If the police didn't follow through you wouldn't fear the punishment any more. This . . .is pretty telling. First, children are not just "little adults," their whole psychology is completely different. Trying to compare how a child and an adult react to things shows a complete lack of understanding of human psychology, further calling into question your ability to "psycho-analyze" anyone, much less someone you don't …

But if you let them get away with it once you set a precedent that your "boundaries" aren't real boundaries. No, what you are doing is recognizing that mistakes can be made. People aren't perfect little robots, and you have to weigh the imperfections in your relationship against the benefits. The reality is, as I said above, about 2/3rds to 3/4th of marriages survive an infidelity. If it were such a harbinger of "boundaries being meaningless," then this stat would almost certainly not be true. H…

There are billions of women in this world and if one of them is going to act like that there's no reason to stick around with her and keep providing her financial security when she doesn't deserve it. Agreed. However, there is much more to a relationship other than "has she been 100% faithful and honest." The reality is, going just on the OPs post, we have a wife being unfaithful and her lying to cover it up. It's basically a single (albeit very bad) event. However, we are talking about one thin…

Reading the rest of this thread, it seems that this isn't the first time there has been infidelity in their relationship, so I am leaning more towards him leaving. However, leaving a marriage is often the easiest path, not necessarily the most "brave" path, it could easily be the coward way out, especially if there is a lot riding on the relationship. It's hard to tell, without having a good intimate understanding of the relationship, to say from the outside what is the right thing to do. If you…

This post is a lot of horse shit. First, either way your marriage is over. This is nonsense. Something like 2/3rds to 3/4th of relationships survive an infidelity, so even if it is that, it's not necessarily a relationship killer. She lied. If you've ever been in a relationship, you should know that this happens. It is not healthy for the relationship and she should not have done it, but it is certainly not necessarily the end of their relationship. Second, why on earth would he need a lawyer th…

It was the last opening day of the old Yankee stadium. I took the subway to the game and, as usual, brought my bag along. It's not a tiny bag, but by no means it is large, certainly not larger than a good percentage of purses. Going through the turn style, I was told I couldn't bring the bag into the game and would have to throw it out. I questioned why, and they said it was a policy. As I was standing there talking to him about it, while he let no fewer than 3 women pass by with bigger bags tha…

Really what it comes down to for me is that their goal is mostly noble, but their method despicable. I go back to the arrogant comment. I think this is a weakness that they share with those they disagree with. Pretty much every post is belittling the people, they are all of the tone "can you believe what this person said?" It's like they have it all figured out and the rest of us are clueless. I'm not sure what's more arrogant than that. I always sort my comments by "best" and one of the top few…

First, congratulations on opening your debate with an ad hominem attack. You pretty much proved my point right there. That's not the way to have a civil discussion, that's not the way to encourage a good debate. This is the typical tactic I see used there whenever I am stupid enough to let my curiosity get the best of me. The claim of arrogance had me laugh a bit, considering pretty much every "best of" post in the subreddit is pointing out how "stupid" the person they are belittling is and how …

Thanks, I honestly would have continued to spell the word incorrectly had you not corrected me. For some reason I though it was like "solder."

I just wish SRS would listen to reason. When they banned me (when I hadn't even known about the reddit let alone never having posted there), when I asked the moderators why, they belittled me, insulted me, were sarcastic with me and avoided answering me (well, they answered like a child would "we banned you because we don't want you posting here" as if my question wasn't very clear.) They aren't the solution to reddit's or the internet's problems, they are very much part of the problem.

The problem is that they are hypocrites themselves. The fact of the matter is that disgusting and immature things are said in reddit because the people are, well, immature. SRS's solution to this? Act completely immature back. You attract more flies with honey than vinegar. So I think they do more harm to their cause by being assholes and pushing people away and making people want to disagree with them. I don't know whether or not they should be banned, I don't particularly care. But they aren't…

Which is exactly the point he is making. You split dinner together, so why not split the cost as well? Sure, I can understand if someone is tight on money or what was ordered was very, very different in price, but other than that it is just silly to nit-pick over a couple of dollars. Honestly, my experience in life is that it is those who want to pay only for what they ordered who are the cheap and non-generous ones. They have almost all always tipped less, and ignored tax or try to avoid paying…
