That's the point. It's not about what's 'more important.' It seems you are only able to judge based on the goals that you have set for yourself and that you find to be 'important.' An emphatic person can look beyond their own views and beliefs and place themselves in another, and not judge someone based on their own limiting views of the world. If a person asks you for your seat, you can assume they have a valid reasoning for that. They are probably hurting or ailing in some way. Doesn't matter …

You just described it perfectly, you have no capacity for empathy. That's less developed. A clear sign as well, lack of empathy is often correlated with a diminished intelligence. If your environment encourages that, you live in a toxic environment which is indeed less developed.

Apparently, instead of growing up in a less developed country, you just grew up less developed

Have you never heard of it? I'm not making it up, you are literally encouraged to forfeit your seat to people in need. It's of course not enforced by law, but you are morally expected to comply simply based on gestures of kindness towards your fellow human beings. This is encouraged by the state/government, even. Visibly, through advertisements and campaigns. This is not some invisible unspoken code. Truly, if you've never heard of that then you must be from a less developed country.

She literally is, based on basic public transport ethics. Just as you are entitled to one as well.

If you're talking about the man in the post, we can only assume what is stated. Which is "she shouldn't be entitled to my seat just because she's pregnant." We don't have any other information and most people in the comments don't seem to need it as they agree solely based on the fact that she is a woman and pregnant and that apparently shouldn't mean she gets a seat (btw, being pregnant is physically taxing.)

But that's different from the post. You have a valid reason to keep your seat and if you explain it to someone that asks for your seat, most will be understanding. In the post, the man is made out to not want to give up the seat solely because he feels a pregnant woman doesn't need it. Which is bullshit. Basically the same as someone saying you don't deserve your seat because "you chose to live recklessly and fuck up your body, not my problem"

That's pretty much always been the case. Aren't pornstars referred to as "models" as well?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
