I’m a 39/M. I have wondered the same thing. I don’t know how people do it. I think it’s gross. And women think I’m not interested since I don’t try to take them home the same day I meet them. If you want to go home with me the day you meet me, it’s an automatic no.

I am also an electrician (though minimally in the field). I have 3 degrees (BS, MS, MBA) from Tier 1 institutions. I never field inferior to ANYONE. If someone looked at me poorly for my trade, I’d immediately recognize them as an idiot. Edit: If I had 0 formal education, I still wouldn’t give a hoot what someone else thought. My point is that you should be proud of your trade, and if someone doesn’t value the service you provide, they obviously don’t understand how the world works. Plus I charg…

Some of this advice is straight up trash. Some men will play games. Some men THINK they know what they want, but actually don’t. I could go on and on. Some men are extremely deceptive. Initially, it would be really hard to determine if he “truly” likes you. But women have a special skill, and many of them don’t even know it. Drum roll….Women set the tone, not men. If you establish the tone up front, he will than decide if he wants to match that energy (relationship, hookup etc.)

I think you need to go back to base statistics. The gender ratio is roughly 50:50 (could be a variance of up to 1% depending on what study you use). If you assume that all chicks are waiting on a “Chad”, than you’re implying that one chad is satisfying more than one women, therefore limiting the availability pool. This is simply not the case. It’s not mathematically possible. Also note that some “Chad’s” don’t even have game, so that also skews the data in your favor. But what you haven’t done i…

Is she a friend you’re interested in, or a a girl you’re interested in who you haven’t gotten past the friend zone with?

This is helpful. Assuming you and my crush have the same mindset, how would you want your crush to initiate? Even non-verbally. I understand I can look intimidating (I embody pretty much every masculine characteristic in the book appearance face, body, voice, posture etc.). That being said, I don’t know how to humanize myself.

I’m literally in the EXACT same situation as you. And now with masks gone, she walks by me (sometimes she even goes the long way to make sure we cross paths), but when she gets close to me, looks down and away. I have no idea what to do.

Dude, you’ve got a perfect opportunity without looking desperate. Tell your friend, who works with this girl, to bring up your availability and ask about her reaction. If she’s not in to, she’ll say so (or the body language will Atleast).

Bruh, the fact that they even reach out is a win. But to keep the convo going, ignore the question and try to get them on a different topic.

How you go about it is more important than the fact that you line in an SLE. I’ve lived in one for 2 months. I don’t know how you went about it, but if you plan on staying for a while (I hope you stay as long as you need to), and plan on dating, come up with a creative way to bring it about. If you need help, just holler!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
