For me personally, too much of an age gap. I’m now married, and my wife is 9 years younger and that was pushing it.

I always reciprocate. If she’s not a fuck ya, she’s a no. Also, if you’re not her fuck ya, don’t waste your time. Lots of amazing women out there that are worth your effort.

Bro this is classic outcome dependency, “once I get X and Y, I’ll have Z.” You could have pulled before these two aspects of your life. Don’t let them sell you in a bs narrative. If you’re fun and safe, women will fuck with you.

That’s a great take, I think we need to define what we say by looks a bit. Sufficiently “looking ok,” rather than “good looking.” It’s more like a minimum requirement rather than a high standard. But I mean it’s also more logical than shallow, like I also wouldn’t want to date someone who can’t keep themselves together. There’s a little bit of that.

I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to sound like I was attacking your post, I completely agree in differences between the apps as each app has an “assumption.” When I was dating it was a different scene too. Dudes on here are overly committed to the idea that looks trump all else and work on their looks alone. Which is great, but don’t skip the inner work. Inner work is a lot harder for most guys because they need to feel they can “fix” rejection by working on their looks alone. For some dudes these are f…

I look like a troll, and was constantly on dates. It’s easier if you look good, but a personality and charm goes just as far in my experience.

I’ll add one thing to this a lot of people forget - that is super important to building any kind of relationship. Trust. If more men and women focused on building trust and keeping that trust, it takes away like 60-80% of the anxiety of new relationships.

I’ve been open and honest about my intentions with women, never needed to lead them on to sleep with them. Even when seeing women on a rotation, never caused a problem being open and honest about it.

Never messed with a woman in any kind of existing relationship. I don’t pass judgement on those that do, it was just a thing for me. Also never trying to bang friends, friends of friends were ok.

I didn’t say you were waisting time. I’m saying a person that flakes keeps doing it and and shown you what she thinks your time is worth. My rec would be to move on to responsive girls are (1) straight forward and honest about their time; (2) interested in spending time with you.

Solid list otherwise, I just disagree with rushing to close. My philosophy, that worked well to filter out neurotic and introvert types, was to use text/chat to set up a date. I’d rather do the flirt/get to know questions in person and over a 20-30 minute over drinks than over texts. At least on the apps.

I think deflecting by laughing or being jokey is also a version of being dishonest in the sense you’re talking about too. I say that because a dude is trying to hide their true feelings when they do that.

I don’t think women have to do anything, honestly. And it’s important to understand they also change their behavior on dates when they like a guy, they try to suppress things they feel are unattractive just like some men do to. I think with your friends, you owe no responsibility for who they are. You did your job bringing everyone together. Honestly, you may be shocked to find out some of the girls have a great sense of humor they try to tone down.
/r/seduction16/10/24 06:09 PM

Depends on what you’re looking for. I’m ok cutting my field in half if it means the women left are those that have a good sense of humor. That’s an important factor I want in people I choose to spend my time with. I’m not interested in any person with a shitty sense of humor. With that said, using humor as deflection is a crutch or a sticking point for a lot of dudes. Or, there are dudes that don’t know how to “turn it off.” An example of this would be giving BS answers to be funny because you’r…

This is my favorite. I’m also of the school of thought they’re testing your frame. Can they break your ego? Do you get angry or defeated, or can you verbal judo it into banter (funny). I think it tests a man’s mental health. But what do I know…I just do the thing.

Sam is one of the greatest comics to ever live, but he was extremely vulnerable with his thoughts and opinions. He had a fantastic delivery style as well. Sam does not waiver his opinion for the purpose of getting a reaction, his power and vulnerability (and his humor) comes from saying shocking thoughts before that had gained mainstream acceptance. Same with Bill Hicks too. The comics I’m thinking of seem like “try hards” and tend to be newer comics.

The “nice guy” is the guy that uses being nice to hide who he really is. He’s no better, or worse, than “the jerk,” who uses put downs to hide his who he really is. These are personas adopted to help the dude’s perceived ability to “fit in” and “get along.” It’s a shield because they’re terrified of being vulnerable. If you’re genuinely a nice dude, it doesn’t mean you get walked on. It means you help others - not just when it makes you look good. It really is just about being who you really are…

Look, I get it. It’s easier to be facetious online than actually be vulnerable and work on yourself. My point wasn’t meant to piss on your post. I honestly wouldn’t have believed some of the game nonesense I’ve heard/read either unless I had seen it work for me. I would start with the “No more Mr. Nice Guy” book and then try Mark Manson’s Models book.

Dude, when I was dating about 3 years ago I was 33, bald, double chin. I had no money, no nice car, no flashy clothes. I was a broke student. I went on plenty of dates and hooked up with attractive women. I’ve never paid for a meal, bought a woman drinks, or bought tickets to a thing. Attractive guys having it easier does not mean you get nothing or left overs. I’m an objectively ugly dude. But I have a strong sense of humor and I’m honest. I would recommend against it. But only bc they’re an investment to meet more women down the line. I was having women in my friend group introduce me to their friends and I would hook up with the friends. But my philosophy was to grow and keep the social circle intact. You can only do that by maintaining trust, soon as trust is broken - you start losing that value in the group. Thats just my opinion tho.
/r/seduction19/10/21 05:47 PM

Yea totally agree - what a lot of dudes fail to understand is that it’s behavior, not the words, that indicate interest.
/r/seduction29/09/21 05:57 PM
7

It’s always the deviation from her norm. So if she says heyy to everyone, it means fuckall if she says it to you. But, if she says heyyyyy, when she’d normally say hi, that may indicate some interest. You can’t really quantify the level of interest, but I’d say it’s a good sign. If you want to gauge interest, look at these factors for these clues: Frequency of texts, who initiates texts, duration of conversations, and if she reciprocates.

“I wished for more wishes. So, if the universe implodes, my bad.” “I made my wish - they’re still ugly.” “I made my wish - I’m still broke.” It’s all about being present though with openings, I personally would steer away from something rehearsed and get good at improvising. Just take something at the bar and go, “did you know you get a wish if XXX happened?”

Dude my bad - I just read the second part. I had this happen with a girl when I was in HS too - the more you ignore, the tighter they latch onto your shit. Eventually I just introduced her to another friend of mine, and she was on his jock after that

It’s too deterministic and irrelevant to self growth. Like so what if my experience is different than yours, your measurement should always be to the past you, and your goal should always be a bit better version of yourself. Ego is the conclusion that there is no more left to grow - that is absurd.
/r/seduction15/10/20 05:55 AM

but one more thing - never stop learning from failure. Treat everything as a learning experience.
/r/seduction15/10/20 04:27 AM
2

I would agree with you. But it is actually very easy. Learn to love failure and rejection. All the ego does is protect your psyche from the pain of rejection - “well she was a bitch anyway,” “he’s a fucking moron...” etc. When you learn to love and welcome rejection as a filter for who should and shouldn’t be in your life, that is what tames the beast of ego. I allow the real person I am to filter the people around me, the jobs I get, and the girls I spent time with. Let go of that fear - go get…

Yea - you’re absolutely right, but the nuance is not to do for self-aggrandizement and not to do it for someone else’s opinion of you to change. Your actions should be as independent of what others think of you as possible. If someone attempts to challenge your frame (Amog, shit test) - you must point out the obvious, they’re the ones who are self conscious. that book is amazing tho! You’ll like it

Anything that can get you to react can be a shit test. If you’re reacting, you’re not building attraction. You can use the third one - it’s contextual. Exaggerating and humor work best for me here.
/r/seduction15/10/20 02:36 AM

Let me just add my advice on this. More often then not, it’s to get you to react. I go by the mantra - “fun, fun, fuck” The moment you let it turn into a debate, you’ve lost. Don’t sacrifice your position for her comfort, this is some white knight “nice guy” Bs. Ask her what makes her passionate about the topic. See the world through her eyes. Ask if she’s had personal experience about this topic. Does she really feel all X are Y. Otherwise, you’re just another big ego, small confident dude who …

I tell my male friends this all the time, work on your social circle. Make male friends in class and out of class. Join groups or hobbies on campus. The most important rule is, “don’t shit where you eat.” Guys in at this stage should be strictly friend zoned, don’t try to fuck dudes you meet here. Once you’ve made a number of male friends outside of your normal friend group, start inviting them out - and tell them to invite friends they have. Now start growing your network of possible suitors - …

because your teasing needs a lot of improvement , you’re making it about yourself rather than roasting her, you’re reacting to her. Don’t take any of this personally... By making about yourself “I’m Kush” etc , you’re showing her your ego. That’s not attractive. You’re not paying attention to what the teasing should be about. You’re starting a new roast thread for no reason, rather that having fun with what she’s throwing at you. Think this like improv - the players play in the rules and off eac…

Here’s my criticism on this idea that funny guys are clowns and that it kills attraction. It is necessary to distinguish genuine funny guys (who you really are) vs nervous funny guys (using humor as a crutch to avoid really sharing who they are). Recall that women are WAY more in tune with sniffing out BS personas than men. So another explanation to why humor kills attraction is that it’s not genuine. This is a similar reason why “nice guys” don’t fuck, but nice guys do. And why “alpha bros” get…

Many great responses - very mechanical ways to tell if she’s into you during escalation. To tell if she’s into you, here are some other things: - does she initiate texts? -does she initiate plans to hang out? -does she seem open to hanging out a lot? -if you’re all out together, is she spending time around or near you? - frequency of texts to you - frequency of replies to you? You might be already doing this, but have a few girls you see on the regular - and be honest about it. Oneitis is bad in two scenarios. 1. you’re putting the girl on a pedestal above yourself, for no reason. 2. It flows in one direction and you change yourself for the girl. That’s not ok. I see people casually until someone really special comes along. I love my gf and she’s on a pedestal for sure, but she puts hella work in our relationship. What things bring you value. What's fun to you? What do you spend your time doing. I know people that teach/write music. Other's read and do book clubs etc. Value isn't necessarily school, or achievements, or a career. I chose to pursue those things at 27 - I was a highschool dropout. Here's an example. In grad school, everyone's already in grad school. So being in grad school doesn't really build any value. You gotta be fun, funnier than everyone else, and introduce peolpe to each other. Does this make sense?

I'm not saying to decouple external validation entirely, nor that it's a completely bad thing. I believe external validation feeds data about our societal worth. This mechanism becomes problematic when we put all our eggs in one basket, and get addicted to external validation as the only source of our self-worth. I still love, and think it's healthy, when I get external validation. But, what has changed now is that a lack of external validation doesn't mean I'm worthless. From my experience, soc…

Isn't the inherent problem how they've defined failure? Rejection is the confirmation someone isn't meant for me. Rejection gets me closer to someone who is a better fit for me. I want to add that approach anxiety is you being selfish. You're so up your own ass, that you're discounting the happiness you may bring into someone's life (OG's point). AA is "Me"-centric. Great post. Let me rephrase. I felt my approach anxiety was because I was too concerned about how I look. I was up my own ass. Girl friend zones you, you say "absolutely!." Now when she sees you flirting with and giving your attention to other women in front of them, it triggers pangs of jealously. There's an assumption that PUA strategy never changes and that the person's behavior stays relatively static. Your assumption is wrong. A stand-up comic just starting out writes jokes, and repeatedly goes to open mics and comedy clubs and repeats the joke for years. They need to feel comfortable on stage. They need to feel comfortable bombing. They need to feel comfortable in front of people. There's a lot more going on then just rote memorization of the jokes. Similarly, PUA strategy gets you c…

Dude, this has been happening to me since I was a kid. No insight - but I think it has to do with how you feel about yourself or how your mom (or mother figure) treated you growing up. I love aloof women who have their head up their own asses. :-/

I'm a pretty below average looking guy, and I only have three shitty selfies up, but I do consistently get at least a solid date per week. I think location plays a pretty big determinant to success I tend not to have a radius more than a mile or two.

Reasoning by analogy, nice 👍🏻.

I've read, I didn't like so much. The Confidence Gap helped me much more though
/r/seduction02/07/17 10:05 PM

Yea seriously. I'd rather sleep with that one girl I actually have a connection with. Even if thats, 1/100 of the girls I meet. But, then again I get it. It's a numbers game for some.

I think one person mentioned something about comedy. Offering value can come in many forms, being interesting and having hobbies is just one aspect. I would recommend reading a book on improv comedy. In fact there's a book already written that takes ideas learned in improv comedy and applies them for conversational purposes. It's written by Patrick King and it is called Improve Your Conversations. When you ask questions to another person, it can be valuable or it can be value seeking. Think abou…

Tips for social anxiety: I had/have severe social anxiety and crazy AA. I started going alone to local events/clubs sober and just chilled there.. danced there.. started to feel comfortable in my own skin at these places. If you feel self-conscious because you're not drinking, grab a glass of water from the bar and ask them for limes... no one would be able to tell. After doing this for about a month, I can go to any local party/festival alone.. dance by myself, create faux social circles using …

/r/seduction10/08/16 05:19 AM

31 year old balding dude that looks like a troll. Honestly, work on your game. Work on everything you can control. Attraction for women isn't the same as it is for men, so don't come from that mind set. I've been working on my game for 4 months, and I'm already seeing (read banging) about 2 new girls a week. PM if you want me to point you to the right direction..

This study is about the brain processing words and not necessarily the emotional response of said words. So, from my interpretation, it's about using the logical information to communicate. So I guess we should qualify that "body language is no where near as important as speech content..." when it comes to language processing.. And example to illustrate the point. So if I go up to a girl and say "My dick got blown off during nam" in a shy weird low-amplitude voice.. it'll come off as weird and c…

I personally took a lot of notes, for me they were. Ask for more people's opinions on their forum, or on their Facebook group. I didn't even like Max's stuff until I went to the free tour. I'm convinced now that he's got amazing game.. I was a huge skeptic before I purchased it.
/r/seduction05/08/16 11:19 PM

Passive attaction, which is the second part of your question, is his style. The whole program builds to mastering passive attraction mastery. Personally, from what I've seen (infield + theory) it's awesome. He call's it the "no-game game." He has videos dedicated to building a social circle, maintaining relationships, rotations, and so on. I used the social circle game ideas to build this faux-group of friends at a club, then I leverage that to meet the hotter girls. Worked really well for me..
/r/seduction05/08/16 11:04 PM

Honestly taking "massive" action is on you. If you don't go out and develop your reference experience and implement these ideas.. it's useless. Much like a gym membership that you never use is useless. But what has worked for me is it puts everything into a positive light, helped me develop actionable plans to get over my severe AA. These ideas translate into self-esteem growth, which has positive effects in other aspects of life as well. It's not theoretical mumbo-jumbo... which is what I hated…

If you visit the site, they set you up with it. Their customer service is actually really fucking awesome.. great experience.
/r/seduction05/08/16 10:24 PM

Hey I've bought the middle level version and highly fucking recommend it. It has not only helped my game, but has seriously helped me in all aspects of my life. The level of detail is amazing, and worth 10X the amount in my honest opinion. It has everything for the beginner level to the advanced level. His approach is killer.. and for having to listen to someone for 22+ fucking hours, I've got to say he's a funny mf. I've since deleted/ignore every other material as for me this is the best model…

Best thing to do is to befriend them and but be diplomatic. Introduce yourself to the whole group, and gradually shift attention to the one you're attracted to. Remember.. her friends decide who she should/shouldn't talk to. So you need to win them over, (ESPECIALLY IF THERE'S A DUDE IN THE GROUP!) If done properly and well, these obstacles will become your biggest wings.. no BS.

This is seriously the best advice, I get their number asap (sometimes after 4 messages) and meet up asap. asking questions (interrogation mode) is what 90% of guys do..avoid that.

I wanted to add a point about ways to practice letting go of your ego. My favorite is going to a dance club all by yourself, and just chilling. Then start dancing by yourself, no matter if people are dancing or not. For example, I went out to Hollywood last night, hung out alone and danced with NO ALCOHOL (that's cheating). The point is to make yourself the odd man out. It really helps the dgaf attitude. The point of this simple exercise is to start the process of tearing down those social rejec…

After my relationship I found myself in the same situation. I write dance music, so for me I know kind of how to move.. but not really. I started watching youtube videos and practicing at home, I really saw an improvement when I started going to to small house nights by myself just to dance and practice. Getting comfortable with your body, and feeling relax really helps loosen the body. Been working like a charm, I find that I'm really into going out an dancing now :-D
