1	Marriage is a trap. Trust me I know very well the issue with prenups. Certain women are vile trash and will go though hundreds and thousands of dollars to fight what they themselves agreed to. That's is why both parties must have attorneys that represent only them, full disclosure of assets and liabilities and the contract is signed in front of and signed off by a notary. 1	Marriage is a trap. In the US being married has many benefits. Tax breaks/filings and getting on each others insurance are two big ones. Your damned if you do damned if you don't. Anytime the govt is involved in anything they destroy it.
