You teach English, a subject that doesn’t pique the curiosity of most boys unless they’re into programming. Of course girls will have an easier time learning your subject. The medical rationale is it reduces the number of urinary tract infections in infants as well as seniors who are beginning to lose that ability to clean themselves. I think the mortality figures when I checked were deaths related to UTI infections was close to an order of magnitude above deaths related to complications attributed to circumcision. Because it's not on any scientist's radar and it's probably not something they would receive Grant funding to look into. The current data does point however to newborn being too soon as they can bleed out. I would say at the least it would need to be at least halfway between birth and full adult blood supply (when the child weights roughly 60-75 lbs on the low end).

In my experience women are also more vocal about running into hardship. If a woman is on hard times they can usually find a soapbox to stand on and a shoulder to cry on. Men just flat out don't do this due to the perception of appearing weak, so they will suffer in silence and either eventually find a way out, whether it be a result of improving their situation or ending their life on their terms.

The only thing I find wrong with this statement is the Chinese genocide of their own female babies because male children were much more desireable, which actually led to China having more men than women by at least 10 million. But, that's a cultural bias their society has. There is nothing close to that in the US. Once they do start being drafted (if and when it happens) there will also probably be a modification in determining who is suitable for combat since there is a very real difference in physical performance expectations based on puberty and testosterone.
