Games can have an effect on people; social learning. That said, yeah I don't think most adults would be affected by this sort of thing, but the app was rated for 4+, children are much more susceptible to picking up on media they view than adults.

adding more discrimination to an already discriminatory system in an attempt to create "balance" is a greater wrong than simply removing discrimination altogether. Well I'll certainly agree with that, but I think it's assumed that removing discrimination is either not feasible or is a long term goal and affirmative action is a short term fix.

Confirmation bias is "a tendency of people to favor information that confirms their beliefs or hypotheses". I haven't played all of these games, but I think most of these have people other than the player killing the children. Except in the fallout games where you could actually get a perk called "child killer", the undead kids in Dead Space, and the little sisters in BioShock. Okay, so you can kill children in some games, but in a game as popular as Skyrim?

The argument that I've heard is that a car can't talk you into driving it; having sex requires an extra person that can also make decisions and has responsibility. This makes sense to me; if the other person is sober and taking advantage of the person who is drunk then that's wrong but if both people are drunk then I don't really see a problem.

Yeah, I could see a student/teacher/professor relationship being acceptable once the student relationship ends. I could also see a doctor/patient relationship depending on circumstances. A therapist/client relationship is right the fuck out though; a therapist is never allowed to have sexual or romantic relations with a former or present client.

I still have a problem with the idea of a college professor/student; no professional should have sexual relations with their clients regardless of age. Doctors don't have sex with patients, therapists don't have sex with clients and teachers/professors don't have sex with students.
