She was aquitted from the vehicular homicide charge because she did not have the intent to kill the motorcyclist. She really should have been charged with vehicular manslaughter which would have had a lesser penalty than vehicular homicide but more extreme than this little slap on the wrist.

I just think it should be 12 months minimum as a deterrent. I know it's only 3 months more, but a year is more intimidating than 9 months. If women think they could get a full year in jail for making a false claim, that would be a good motivator to not do it.

I have looked through news stories from other sources and nothing is said about her having to remain in jail. As a matter of fact, one news source said the judge did not make her post bail. They don't say that bail was denied. She also was charged with resisting arrest. A male in the same scenario would have had a much harsher treatment, and you know it. How much does it take for it to constitute pussy pass with you?

You're right. Calling him an asshole and throwing a drink in his face would have even been a better way to react. When she started punching and kicking him, that crossed a line and an extreme reaction should be expected. The club owner didn't owe her anything since she wasn't booked. He gave her $10.00 for cab fare when he wasn't obligated to pay her anything. They don't have to try gain an advantage because of their gender. They just automatically get the advantage because of their gender.
