Mate, the sheilas here love the Aussie kissing(french but down under) after a few tinnies in the pisser at the local pub. On a serious note, housing in Sydney is absolutely fucked hard. 700k for a 2 bedroom unit(yes unit) 45 mins drive from the city. We have also had 4 different prime ministers in 6 years so our leadership sucks. We are licking Trump ass down here. There is zero entrepreneurship (business exit rates at 50% after 3 years). Many people here are pissed due to the rich Chinese buyin…

This is also what I have encountered. I realized that these people are truly not your friends, you are just there for ego stroking i.e. You are good to hang around because they think they are better than you. Once you start improving though, you become a threat because they now have to work to be better than you. People fucking hate change.

Exactly. This post was meant for those in monk mode. It is just an example of how I am dealing with it right now and how it is working for me.

Yes I agree, definitely something I have to work on. I did surprise myself like you said doing the running though, lost the 10kg in 67 days haha.

There are many things I could say as advice but I don't know you, talk with your doctor about this as much as possible. All you need to know is that it could be years before things become right again, keep going.

All I can say is, been there done that. I am living proof that you can survive it. Mental illness is the longest cold you will have. It's like you are lifting with an invisible 10kgs. Others cannot and will not understand you if they have never suffered it themselves. Many people on here will say don't be a pussy, push through it, but the fact is, sometimes you need a time-out to really fix yourself. You may need to remove yourself from the friends who are there as reminders of your Ex. Keep goi…

The line I quoted and you did to, explains how cold stress (ignoring rectal temperature) decreases testosterone It doesn't explain anything, how much is testosterone reduced by? There is zero results/data from this study from my point of view so why should I consider it? Also, the test goes for a whole hour, I would never take a shower that goes longer than 10 minutes because it is just a huge waste of my time. The way I look at this is that cold showers do not effect my testosterone production …

I think you made a mistake in regards to the cold showers article you linked, which contains the following statement: There was no correlation between changes in Tre (rectal temperature) and changes in hormone production. This means when a persons temperature goes up or down there is no change in hormone production. The sustained/longer-term effects of cold stress repeated daily produced increase in ACTH, corticosterone, and decrease in α-1-antitrypsin and testosterone. Following the citation we…

You can't really do it, its his life to fuck over. Like all insights you gain the trouble is you immediately want to share it with everyone, but with this you can't because it is dealing with peoples core beliefs. I was able to get a friend to break off fully with this girl who wanted an open relationship after 6 years. Even then they were already broken up, but I was there to encourage him not to go back like a fool (showed him Briffault's law + a rant about why you should bother if she has los…

Your title is very misleading. Leadership is not controlling, management is. You post has valuable insights, however what I gained from this is that leadership is earned, not given and that lack of control IS control (this is evident in the content here as mate-guarding).

myfitnesspal worked for me. Just spoke with a personal trainer in regards to a new diet plan and 4 day split, she asked what I ate then referred her to https://www.designbyvh.com/myfitnesspal-export-data/ This website allows you export your data in excel format, pretty useful.

I disagree with this. The people you are describing are stuck in habits. They are stuck in behaviours that they know are wrong, but don't know how to trick their own brains to fix their problem and get in new better ones. Its not mentally weak to go for that bag of chips when you have been doing it all your life, its just a pattern you have been in so long you do it without thinking. When people try to lose weigh what happens is they start off disciplined and focused, then their old patterns eme…

I would have asked "which yard are you referring to?". Helps you find out her level of interest in you, if she likes you she will flirt back, if not she will just describe her yard and there is no real loss anyway.

Trying to out-lead bad leaders is not a very useful mission, it is actually a waste of time because you are trying to prevent their mission instead of achieve your own. The way I think about leadership is that it is, at the source, just comparison. When you compare yourself with a leader you are giving up to them by saying "I am not as good as them, they are smarter/stronger etc", this is laziness. If you want others to follow you, you are saying that you are better than others. You may be bette…

The way I see it, the leaders of today are the greatest followers, they have gotten on their hands and knees for their country/business/religion etc. These are the people who are not worth following, they are there to continue things the way they are now. Follow yourself.

Did I find my mission, purpose, higher calling? Is this good enough? Why are you asking others if it is good enough? Ask yourself, its your mission. All I can say is that if your having doubts and need others to help you make sure, it probably isn't. It can take years of fucking up to find it, Jack Ma started Alibaba at 30 years old. Wim Hoff started his mission in his 50s. Keep going.

Your about to finish, who cares if your in a clique at university? Make friends at your new job when you finish or join a club for your favourite hobby and go to bars/nightclubs with them (sports/gym/yoga/MMA/dancing/shooting who gives a fuck what it is) It is never to late to do anything. Just remember, university is only 3.69% of your entire life, don't give the parties there such high importance.

Habits cannot be removed, but they can be replaced and linked with other habits that you already have. Have you read "The Power Of Habit" by Charles Duhigg? I could not find it on your website. I have changed a few of my own habits by using beeminder.com, where the reward is relief that money was not being charged to my account. This of course may seem like a gimmick, but I did lose 10kgs, started meditating every day, do regular study sessions, journal and record my calories and running data ev…

Try running 10 km's 5 times a week/lifting and take very cold showers afterwards. Your brain will shut the fuck up pretty quickly once you do that. Also as said in other comments, see a doctor and meditate.

I have friends who are in situations like this with their women(oneitis). One friend in our group is engaged to this girl and all of his guy friends including me hate her. You cannot help them. The only time you can is when shit goes down (divorce/breakup) to pull him out of it. I wouldn't refer them here first, try briffault's law as it is backed more by science, if he has questions then take him further. You can show him the door, but he must be the one to walk through it.

You are looking for the easy way out, it doesn't exist. Don't drop out, especially if its the only thing you are interested in. If you finish with a pass in physics it is better than getting the top mark in a shitty business/social work degree. Many companies hire physicists on the basis that they know how to learn THE hardest concepts about the reality we are living in. This means learning shit like accounting and business models become VERY easy for them. Just be aware that university degree i…

Try shit and fuck it up until you figure it out. There are no true RP jobs, everyone is working for someone else even if you are the owner of a company your still bowing to your customers/shareholders wants and needs. Find something that has 2 requirements: -it gets you paid good money -when you are working on something and you look at the clock after 5 hours your self talk should be "wow, I spend 5 hours on x, that went fast."(AKA flow state)

Do what you can, I made the assumption that you were talking with a professional by yourself. Your issues are personal, there is no need to share these problems with other students. If they are making you talk in front of others, they are the wrong person to be going to to fix your issue.

The problem is your not defending yourself in any way when this bullying occurs. Your not projecting your feelings into the world because your afraid of peoples reaction if you tell them to fuck off (AKA they might stop being my friend/they might just laugh me off). This is why you feel like shit, your not displaying self respect in the moment. These people are using you in some form to fulfill their own ego. I have had close friends who do the exact same, however now I just see what they say as…

Practice free association and do interesting shit with your life. I was in the same boat as you when talking with people in general. Every day I did the following just for 5-10 or so minutes: go to randomword.com start a timer for 5 mins open up notepad.exe find 3 words or things that relates to the word(even if you dont know what it means, what does it remind you of?) in step 1 and write them in notepad the third word you come up with will be the starting point for the next 3 words you come up …

Be careful, what you are doing is letting your own thoughts prevent you from fixing your own problem. If you were RP, would you stop seeing a doctor because you don't like them? Do the time, put in the hard work, get the result. It is irrelevant if you need to take drugs or not, no one will find out if you don't tell them.
/r/TheRedPill09/04/17 08:00 AM

Lurker after one year, first post. The answer is yes, you should do it. The reason why you are depressed is because you are pushing yourself into something that you don't like doing in the first place, this is the cause of ALL your problems(low self esteem, low work ethic etc..). ANYTHING you do will be more beneficial than staying where you are now, even if you royally fuck it up. The reason I say this is because I am exactly 2 years ahead of you right now (but different industry). I was workin…
