Thank you so much. This is why I waste my time wasting my breath talking to bozos on reddit, hoping that there are people out there with real life experience and who aren't going to tune out aspects of the music of life just because it isn't the music their flimsy and fearful little dogmatic brains want to hear.

This does happen though. It is called selective myopia and is associated with schizophrenia, bipolar, autism, and disassociative identity disorder. Just because someone’s mind and thought patterns have a disconnect from reality does not mean that the entire central nervous system is going to become disarmed from actual life/death fight/flight scenarios.
