"The biggest thing for me is the lack of touch. To know that in my house, my physical body is repulsive to the one person I committed it entirely to. It makes me want to throw up just typing that. Like it is a burden I can no longer bear" This sentence hit me hard.. Because this is where i am; and have developed severed body issues right now. Anyway, i am in personal, individual therapy right now, and that is helping me recover, dust off the cobwebs and all the other issues around me. But, i c…

This is exactly my situation right now, and i am trying to read up on this. In my case, she wants to keep the house long term, and wants full title of the house. I am ok with this because it allows me to keep my retirement accounts and my stock portfolio. Is refinance the only option? I doubt if she will be able to afford the house with the higher interest rates (even with the alimony). Or is there a way banks will give her the same terms and continue on the same loan?

Good article that i had not read before. " she claims to have "never loved you" or that you were "always abusive."" yup.. my wife told me this exact thing last week. I was always too controlling and abusive. How? Because i always had a budget, and would get upset if we exceeded the budget.

Congratulations my man. If i may ask, what finally pushed you over the hump and initiate the process? I am still stuck in the guilt stage.

You are the person I need to talk to. So, how do you cope with that kind of situation?? Do you live like two roommates in the same house with kids?? I am in the exact same boat.. I do all these research about divorce and find out how crappy the process is, how expensive it is and all that results in me losing custody of the kids.. I have no choice but to grin and bear it.. I sleep in my kids room.. lost touch with all my friends because I am no fun anymore and can’t talk about my situation.. How…

Yup.. that is true.. unless you have kept up and in to what is the latest and greatest, it is difficult to get a jump up at this age

Thank you.. I have thought about all these options.. meeting a therapist to keep my emotions in check.. Lawyer has also talked about “abandoning the house” and how I may not be able to see the kids for a while.. that scares the shit out of me.. My son is a serious baseball player (15 years old) and is receiving college interest.. I have sacrificed a lot for him to achieve his dream.. it feels so selfish to abandon and give up now.. But I agree with your point.. He sees me sad, confused, angry an…

I sleep in my sons room right now.. and there seems to be no way to avoid escalation.. I told her something about the clutter in the kitchen and she showed me the middle finger.. I blew up and sent her some nasty email.. Now, I hear that she is using that email as evidence against me. Right now I am at the point where I say “screw lawyers advice. Leave this house now. If she wins more, then she wins it.. I win some peace and will just have to live without kids for some time”.. I am dying inside.…

Hey.. I am going through the same process. How do you escalate without getting the kids hurt. Wife is staying here (completely paid by me) while the process is going on, and any escalation means tension and drama around kids. I am giving in most of the times to avoid the drama..

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
