You haven’t been looking hard enough. This forum and all ones include people who think their bad choices mean that overall they are in a worse position than those without the luxury of choice in the first place. Of course people question the validity of “optionless” their worldview might well hinge on it.

Was this aimed at me because I can’t make sense of it?

The consequences can indeed be “just as bad”, worse even. But that’s not what I’m talking about. If you have a choice there will always be consequences. But that still displays a relative luxury. If you have money you might be robbed. Being robbed is worse than not being robbed. Therefore having the money is the same as not having any. That’s their argument.

Rubbish and you know it. “Hey there incel my mate Jane dated a string of criminals in her twenties which left her in a terrible state (as it would anyone I’d imagine) so shut up she’s had it worse than you” And as many who peddle this are not so stupid to know the ridiculousness of it they intimate it but never say it directly. This is often couched in quasi-Marxian theory where women are eternal victims of oppression (again because they understand the inherent ridiculousness of it).

A point on Schopenhauer is clever men and clever women don’t pair off nearly as often as one would assume. Intellectual women normally favour physical brutes and intellectual men often pine for earthy women. This I think could explain a lot of why intellectuals rate the opposite gender so harshly.

Looks matter to women but not in the same way they do for men. As a boyishly handsome but insecure young man this was something I learned intimately. Men are attracted to looks for the sake of being attracted to looks. Nice face/chest/bum and she could be a serial killer, manic depressive or be as wooden as a toboggan she’s still attractive. Women are attracted to looks which signify power/dominance/high status. A pug ugly six foot-four rugby player is in fact good looking to many women. A hideo…

It will get you feared by men and fancied by women almost immediately. But whilst sexuality is amoral I don’t believe happiness is. I think if you’re good you won’t be able to live with idgaf bad for too long so will end up idgaf good.

This is Red Pill 101. Same as they pass over men who embody all their publicly stated desired qualities and get with someone who is the total opposite. Mainly young women to be fair. They get a bit more human and interesting > 30 ;-)

Good on you. I won’t be teaching my daughters much. Females don’t really need to be taught much about men. It’s not difficult. My son will get non-negotiable lessons in how to be me at 30 when he’s 15. And how never to be me at 15. I must disagree on one point though. Personality DOES matter to women just not the nice/good/kind/moral stuff but the dominant/base/forward/idgaf stuff.

Of course Alphas can be brooding. They can be what the hell they want largely as to a degree they set the rules and again to a degree have fewer people to pull them up on transgressions. I’m not saying they can’t be as you describe. But you are saying they can’t be brooding as I don’t agree with that based on experience and study. Of course this is subjective. Your social ability, the same ability to you, could get you friends and partners. And do I know people who do both of course I do. But th…

I think if you re-read it my “complaint” was with the obfuscation not the facts. Lack of acceptance of what just “is” is very unwise and literally unhealthy (yeah wish I knew that then). Maybe I’m an outlier but growing up as a naive teen I embodied a lot of what Blurps say makes you attractive yet I was anything but. Let’s not pretend the ability to make friends necessarily has anything to do the ability to form sexual relationships. In fact the stereotypical nice guy always has more friends th…

No you can easily be sociable, popular with men as with women as friends, even good looking but if you have LSE, are supplicative and not socially confident you won’t get anywhere. It’s not necessarily anything to do with “sheltered men” although I’m not gonna doubt the obvious crossover. I’ve known for plenty of sheltered men who do ok for reasons I’ve already listed.

As has been said on here before by Lewis Cross I believe - blue pillers are just red pillers who cracked it early in life. This could be down to the much-vaunted older sibling, uncle, father, cousin even girlfriend. Or by doing the hard work early and being exceptional. Or by being lucky enough to naturally embody the traits many of us can’t get relationships without learning. But make no mistake it’s the same stuff just in a a different wrapper.

Because dating advice columns like everything else in Western society assumes feminine-primacy as the correct interpretation. Yeah women play nice guys (the gentler for ego, the wicked for money and tangibles). Yeah nice guys play themselves (lack of knowledge). But society play nice guys better than anyone. Otherwise there would be no manosphere. Remember what shocks us about the manopshere is considered common knowledge in other parts of the world. As our Western pieties shock them.

I really liked this but you don’t really answer “why” it is in there? Because it certainly isn’t necessary in your interpretation or anyone else’s I’d imagine? He could still be a young attractive billionaire who inexplicably ONLY wants to have the shy everygirl but for any number of reasons can’t straight-off-the-bat (causing that build up of tension you rightly say women love). Do men really say that? In a serious way? They say it tongue-in-cheek as backhanded or even straight up compliments... “That is not fair dude, that is just too distracting!” “OMG she is just so beautifully hot I want her!” This is about as natural as it gets. The fastest growing religion in the world throughly disagrees with you however. Its interesting to see a different perspective and get down from our ultra-modern Western high horse on this issue, however alien it may seem to us.

I haven’t needed advice on that front for over a decade but it’s cute I keep getting on PPD. We humans like to stereotype and personalise though. But I do retain empathy for the men who just “didn’t get it” and often write from their perspective because it was the one I grew up with. It’s a no brainier that it’s better to draw conclusion from the actions of all than none. And conclusions often and unfortunately can leave cynicism. No absolutely. If it’s a nice girl being treated poorly by a bad man she is brave to acknowledge that. What I’m more on about are the girls who literally justify a poor attitude toward men because of one person who played them. Yet cant understand why a man would be the same after being sexually invisible to all women. Now you don’t need to tell me the “intent” behind treating someone bad is far worse than ignorance. But strangely and cruelly the consequences often aren’t. It’s one area the gend…

I think to be fair this is one of them things that the genders don’t agree and struggle to empathise. Most young men I know would rather have some women attracted to them and all the rewards implies even if it turns sour. I believe this isn’t the case with women. But my general point was guys on sites like this get criticised often correctly for their generalisations and cynicism toward the opposite sex but this is often due to the behaviour of all women they encountered. Sometimes the very wome…

What I was getting at is surely being sexually ignored by an entire gender gives you more reasons to be cynical about that gender than the actions of one person (or even a handful of people).

Can I/you delete the last paragraph maybe? I think that was the ranty bit lol. I’m just highlighting a possible double standard where some women think treating men badly because of one man is ok but will (rightly) chide manospherians for drawing similar conclusion from a much wider net.

Great post. Not even gonna pick it apart just really enjoyed. It can be no coincidence how nature keeps rewarding “the bad” over “the good”. Women only ever liked chivalry when it was fresh from battle.

It’s instructive that anti-manospherians all tend to give the same basic message “Just because women ignored, rejected or cheated on you DOES NOT give you the rate to hate an entire gender.” But even with many of the nicer girls I’ve met they try to justify their behaviour with the “that one guy” trope who messed me/us up. Because one guy can understandably make you contemptuously torment betas and cheat on nice guys but if you retain any cynicism from literally all women seeing you as sexually …

I’m a massive believer in Game. Its instructive that we live in victim-centred society yet men who can’t achieve companionship are not only excluded but hated and punished for it. For wanting some fucking human contact and intimacy!?! Yes you’re right. Girls actually really liked me growing up. But of course my body decided that wasn’t good enough. Glad you mentioned blame. I’ll include hate, frustration and confusion, For me these are things the manosphere had helped me eliminate not (as popular politics suggests) ‘cause misogyny’ or whatever. It literally does the opposite now if I see a women deal with a nice guy I feel empathy for both.

I’ve been at house parties and I’ve had aggressive and deliberately demeaning things like “Who is he?” “Who invited you?” “The fuck are you doing here?” with the obvious implication being I’m not attractive enough to be here (the men in all instances were friendly toward me). In probably the worst of those instances I saw the girl maybe 5 years later and she gave me “those eyes” that girls give attractive men. It amused me. To be fair even Red Pill states (and my personal experiences) “Women dont care how the sausage was made”. In fairness it’s men who are more likely to pick apart a past. If a girl reminds me of the sort of girls I knew growing up I find it difficult to come back from that and she’ll be unfairly punished.

In fairness I’d say it’s more most people in the public eye aren’t willing to risk their careers espousing politically unfashionable beliefs. And some of these are going to be molesters. One of my favourite political sayings “The orthodox are always orthodox, regardless of tut orthodoxy.”

Yeah of course. Peterson knows enough to know you can’t be turned into an actual psychopath. He means these men are exhibiting psycho like qualities. Lacking empathy as you say. My point is these men are doing it cos it works not in any way, shape or form because they want to. So if he wants to shame anyone it should be females for their sexual nature.

No absolutely. I posted on here years ago (my only ever sort-of field report) about the depressing effectiveness of asshole game but that was all in bars and clubs. Might not be so effective at night-school. But still knowing female sexuality which by definition is rather narrow for most of us is essential first off. “...get to Artist status” Ha ha this made me chuckle. Even pick-up artists are too embarrassed to refer to themselves in this way I’m sure. Treating women as an “amorphous predictable blob” is a much better policy for the young AFC than treating each one as “idiosyncratic individuals”. He’s already spent his schooldays trying that one and knows the result all too well. This very website is testimony to this. It would not exist otherwise. Psychopathy is one of the Dark Triad characteristics. How do we know this?
/r/TheRedPill30/07/18 07:22 PM

Right. It’s not giving a shit par excellence. Men have learned to successfully mimic this trait for sexual reward through game - which itself was discovered as a learned application by pick-up artists. Using “psychopathy” as a means to attack PUA is like attacking an unpleasant but successful antidote.

Yes it does I agree. But if we take psychopathic to roughly mean treating people as an amorphous, predictable blob instead of as idiosyncratic “individuals” then I’d be tempted to agree with Peterson but for very different reasons. Why are men who give shit about people acting like they don’t? Why are men now defaulting to stereotypes when before they were interested in people’s unique qualities? They are not doing this because they want to Mr Peterson. That undiluted female sexuality should tur…

I’d argue it very much is - just not directly. Nearly all of us on here I’d bet have an overly-analytical nature, are over-thinkers. The overactive mind experiences stimulus overload, analysis paralysis and picks up on the truths others miss. This is often called cynicism. Aside from this the searching intrigue is often initially triggered by a confusion with attraction/intergender dynamics and finding oneself near the bottom of the hierarchy. In sport generally the loser goes home to analyse th…

I used the term “vast majority” as admission that in say a gang/friendship group of 20 people - a quarter may be decent. But to access them you have to put up with the negative majority which is a net loss. So the decision becomes an easy one. I’ve made this point before. Putting men on the pedestal will hurt you as well. I was Red Pilled on “friends”/Male associates long before women (wish it was the other way round but hey ho). Same rules apply mostly just more lightly. And both work in tandem. If like a lot of us you struggled through youth I don’t believe the vast majority of your childhood“friends” will ever respect you. It’s a good point and a recurring theme. Since civilisation men have sought by unnatural means to combat women’s natural selectivity. It’s been argued civilisation didn’t make families - families made civilisation. Patriarchal societies are an acknowledgement of female sexual superiority. Again they are an unnatural attempt to redress a natural imbalance. Ha so playing the man and not the ball then? The man you think you know I might add. So not disagreeing that feminism causes less young couplings/marriages and this in term causes more violent societies? The fact that you don’t consider loneliness/sexual frustration/being excluded from companionship, touch and intimacy as “real” problems speaks volumes. You clearly have no clue as to the Male condition as many of those “real” problems are not nearly as bad as those I’ve listed above.

Societies with a high proportion of unmarried/single young men almost always (maybe always) have terrible problems with violence. So yeah feminism IS responsible for that not more disproven ramblings from long dead economists. Whether you think that’s a net gain/collateral is irrelevant. It’s still because of feminism and it’s ideological bedfellows.

“Oh no, you don’t have to go out to work or fight wars. Sorry but that’s disenfranchisement for you.” Women have had DIFFERENT shit to deal to with. Both men and women had to deal with shit. This pathetic and transparent victimhood narrative is really quite cringeworthy.

Women indirectly need men to survive as opposed to directly needing men to survive. Instead of relying on an alpha caveman/tribe for protection it’s a largely Male police force (you could argue women aren’t alone in that of course - but doesn’t change the fact). Instead of relying on a hunter gather or traditional husband to risk his life/break his back to provide for her and he children the state will and often does end up taking up this role. Again many men rely on state benefits as well but t…

You’re right there is a certain type of bruised and battered manospherian who says this. But I think deep down even they know it’s a revenge fantasy. For me the whole point of the manosphere is accepting that women have it pretty fucking good right now - and it’s men who need a leg up.

I wouldn’t let that deter you however. The cliche is whenever you go to Ibiza... “it’s dead now. You should’ve come ten years ago.” Literally it’s been said every decade since and probably before the hippies first turned up in the sixties.

The problem I feel with not calling things ugly is can you then call them pretty? Or is everything just “as it is” so to speak? To expand, the problem with saying “Oh it wasn’t personal, you were just a low value guy” is how do you then take people’s and specifically women’s positive reactions to you personally? Seeing as it’s not personal - you’ve just become high value? It makes the concept of love a difficult one for me.

I sort of agree and disagree with the last bit. There is definitely something wrong with them but it will often be something generic societal advice doesn’t address. A good looking guy can still be unconsciously telegraphing insecurity. A funny and popular guy can be unconsciously supplicating. Many men of a very egalitarian mindset project their mental selves into women and believe men and women have similar sexual natures (this is often the lot of the nice guy). These guys need to be told that…

As said above I wouldn’t downplay posture and body language. Not saying it doesn’t happen but it’s funny how after learning the finer points of the above do your “looks” suddenly get noticed.

I wouldn’t downplay posture and body language. I too get sometimes approached whilst not looking too different from the pre-Game me who never did.

If you’re good looking but lack game you’re just a good looking friend. Only once you get game/confidence/high self esteem do looks count for sexual attraction.

But it’s the guys who can’t look a girl in the eye who really need it. Hot girls are easier to a guy with an understanding of Game and frame than less attractive girls to a guy without. I can personally attest to this. I don’t believe the guys you describe really NEED the manosphere. But all men can find it useful I’m sure. To be honest I’m not interested in helping 25 year old guys with 10+ n count get more girls. I’m in interested in helping life real strugglers achieve companionship and intim…

The vast majority of women have A choice in the dating market. This is more than a lot of men have. Many women have an abundance of choices. This is more than all but elite men have. Look at a Saturday night at any town centre. Hordes of average women are having the time of their lives getting all manner of attention/validation/positive reinforcement from men. Many of these are not particularly confident, high status or good looking. Nature asks very little of women in this particular sense. Thi…

Same here never advise feminists ;-) All men who have struggled for years or more to get a woman will undoubtably will frustrated. But this isn’t hate. If you’re a shy, awkward, insecure etc then female sexual nature is rather fucking inconvenient to be honest. It’s female sexuality not females per se - which nature has deemed elitist. The “lower your standards/bar sluts” thing I’ll have to assume is projection. There was a great article on this, really one of those moments where everyone nods their head instantly knows it to be true from experience. Those sorts of girls are simply less discriminating about how many of the same type of man they sleep with. They are in fact often more discriminating of which type of man this is by dint of experience. “Bar sluts”, party girls or whatever do not go home with shy, humble, anxious …

• Looksmax - women often reject good looking men. It’s isn’t about looks for women as in sure you know • Have sex with your exes - the guys most in need of some guidance probably won’t have any/many • Have confident body language - ridiculously vague. A man who has been sexually ignored/rejected his whole life won’t simply have this nor a reliable concept of it. People without confidence almost always have deep seated self esteem issues which the manosphere painstakingly addresses. In fact it co…

Your last paragraph can’t be stressed enough. I was holidaying in Ibiza at 18/19 and a local told me “If you can’t pull here you can’t pull anywhere.” Fast forward 7 years I could pull literally anywhere I went. As I’m guessing you’re aware - knowing what girls find attractive is more important than any other single factor. It’s really not hard once you know the rules and for a lot of us is generally impossible beforehand.

Anger but passionate anger. Never ended a relationship I didn’t want to end. They always wanted to “win me back” and hated the other girl more. Not what I expected at all pre RP knowledge. I’d end a relationship for much less so projected I suppose.

Pretty much spot on. I genuinely look back at the girls (hot girls/slutty girls/bad girls) I lusted after in my youth with contempt. Even more so since some are clearly attracted to me nowadays. But my girlfriend and if single other sweeter girls I feel both respect and attraction. The stereotype at least is men genuinely have more respect for the nice girl but women have more respect for the bad boy. The the crux. Though obviously I can’t speak for women.

Just reread this and it interests me that we are thinking about this yet had very different Red Pill journeys. I must say I assumed those Red Pilled in their teens had won the lottery but I can now really see how this could curtail your desire to bother. To be fair, Game’s revelations have put women in an almost impossible situation. You can argue that it evens things up, men have forever been labelled shallow and sex-crazed but women have lost so much more really. A huge part of their appeal was their perceived virtue and goodness. And patriarchal/religious convention had the odd effect of at once “oppressing” them and coercing them to live up this ideal. Now we know the truth and it’s not pretty. I’m still shocked I suppose just how anti-love,…

Your first paragraph perfectly sums up the anger stage (more like despair) but I often remind men a massive fallacy we make is assuming personality is fixed when it is fluid and transient. Not a dig or correction but men need to realise this as the above will drive them crazy otherwise.

To put it a crappier but shorter way (which is also what I believe): “Red Pill gets its spot on in terms of attraction - everything else is up for debate.” I’d also say not just trp but the manosphere generally stretching back to the pua old days - somewhat ironically it’s at its best when it’s focusing on masculine self improvement and not women at all.

I am enjoying the irony of a superb and enhancing Reddit post discouraging Reddit! It’s my belief and of course part projection that us manospherians were all emotion and no logic as our former selves. “Hey she’s seems nice, I’ll get to know her slowly and then we’ll fall for each other” (no guile, no tactics, no logic) = friendzone, friendzone, friendzone, creep, friendzone. Then we are blown away by even the fact that there “existed” rules. More so how to use them to finally get what we want. …

You’re spot on. Just not spot on to focus on it. I too used to wish away my sex-drive and wish I was gay. Know enough gay men to know they aren’t so ruthlessly elitist when it comes to sex and relationships. Please don’t let anyone on here tell you loneliness, rejection and sexual frustration aren’t that bad. For a young man it is a living hell. You’re right to stress the importance of frame - it is the most important aspect of Game/attraction. In fact you can literally be doing everything else right (looks, dress humour etc) but if you have no concept or frame or a weak or no frame you will only ever be friends and occasionally a creep. I disagree completely that trp glosses over this however. I had no frame. The manosphere gave me one. For a start I believe the women on these forums are made of different stuff to most women. It’s a very niche club indeed. In mine and other guy’s experience women don’t really want to discuss ‘The Game’ (for want of a better phrase), even or especially as they know most of it instinctively anyway. Not only have I never tried to hide it but I used to bring aspects of it up as I publicly seethed at the way I was hoodwinked by life and myself growing up but all I’d usually get was exasperated agree…

It takes no courage to ask a girl out once you stop investing in the opinons of others. It take a fucking lot of courage to attempt to move things along with a close friend you’ve fallen for. I’m not direct and confident. I just stopped caring. Let’s not be utterly disingenuous here and call people who are highly invested in others to be cowards and people highly invested in themselves “brave” or “confident”. That’s self serving and self evident bullshit.

I think you’re probably and somewhat understandably confusing MGTOW guys with incels. Although the stereotype is MGTOWs are just incels who would rather be lonely by choice that isn’t the full story. Many MGTOW guys have had multiple relationships. I must say I struggle to relate. At least when I gave up on women in my late teens it was because I genuinely had no clue how women/attraction worked - not every clue like these guys. Incel rage i get. As a more specific response to your actual question, and this is hardly new, men’s perceived advantages and privileges are often and casually discussed but rarely if ever are women’s - namely their monopoly on soft power and ability to be valued, respected and loved in spite of all manner of vulnerabilities and weaknesses. Coupled with the indescribable power of being the sex with less physical need. It’s farcical that male privilege gets mentioned without the context of female privilege.

It’s funny but The Wall’s existence (although overplayed by Male revenge-fantasists) is guaranteed by women. There will be plenty of men who wanna fuck and even commit just possibly not the ones you want. The whole cougar fantasy is of high-value older women sleeping with medium to low value younger men. If she was his age she’d be fucking his alpha mates and all parties secretly know this hence the fantasy. She’s gets to be young again and he gets the hot/slutty/bad girl who wouldn’t look at it…
