This is only anecdotal but, me and my wife have has 3-4-somes more than a few times and we've been together for almost 14 years. However I wouldn't call it an 'open' marriage and aside from one other couple I've seen it mostly used as an excuse to ease into cheating. So I think it can go either way depending on true intentions.

Kitchen stuff can be intimidating to start if you've never done it. My dad taught me how to cook so I do it well enough that I attracted a wife that doesn't know how to cook. Now that we're in the position where I'm working a lot and she's at home a lot there's a struggle to get food on the table. I have to make MRCs (meals ready to cook) , prepped dishes to put in the oven so she can learn to not die while I'm at work. Same goes for a lot of things. Personally I went through the same song and d…

Thats probably why people say ideal guys have beta traits mixed in. In general I think men want to provide, sometimes to a pathological level, but with some guys, when they provide all the funds to a home they see it as the beginning and end of their contribution to a family. They worked hard to get the capital to support the house so feel they don't need to be bothered with the menial stuff because someone 'feels bad'. They built the castle so need to enjoy it not handle the serf duties. Me, I …

The past few days, my wife has been sick. Since her job was my old job, part time and lax about how things get done I filled in. Yesterday I did my job plus overtime, her job plus some extra construction that was needed there, and some house chores. I left home groomed and fresh at 8am, came home at 1am covered in water, cuts and grease. And this is while coming down from my own sickness and six hours of sleep with mostly red bull and a bowl of teriyaki chicken over rice the whole day. Men will …

I will say, sure but not particularly interested in the muscles so much as the fitness. I found that I'm mostly attracted to slender petite women or fluffy women (not fat but not models). Being hard as opposed to soft is not as attractive but it's still kinda attractive until she starts resembling a man. I grew up admiring She-hulk, Xena: Warrior Princess, and Boris Vallejo art so I'd say that's my upper limit.

Just wanted to note that communication is great and a lot of problems can be resolved by honest communication, but sometimes it's a catch 22. For example; I would express to my wife that I'm not satisfied with the amount of sex we're having. That's a valid feeling to have but more often than not it results in her feeling pressured for sex even if I ring it up once and not harshly, another valid feeling. I wind up with a wife who's less in the mood because now sex has an obligation component to i…

I don't think that's what it means in context. Otherwise I'm happily a beta male because instead of enforcing territory I prepare food and sneak breed all the ladies that come looking for something to eat. (My main courtship skill is cooking. bitches love my cooking.) No wait, that's more like a rooster. Nevermind.

Nothing in the article surprised me. In fact it's mostly the most obvious things. The answer to the porn one, though is not a decent answer, although a decent answer exists, and the math one seems like it goes on when the answer is one sentence long.

I think this is a case of measuring men and women with the same stick. There is a TON of porn geared towards women, but a lot of women don't watch porn and instead read it. The recent 50 Shades of Gray thing doesn't even scratch the surface. there is and has been a market for erotic prose. And women will write and read some sick shit.

Video porn or porn in general? Because from my observations prose and fanfiction/fanart porn has a huge female fanbase compared to video porn.

Of course they do. But I don't think it happens more than when they underrate themselves. People have all kinds of anxieties about themselves. What they think they could accomplish, get, or look like. One of the main motivations for anything is that they have some sort of deficiency in body, material or status, particularly compared to someone else. That's why power fantasies are so prevalent. Even half of the behavior of people that look like they overrate themselves is desperate grabs for vali…

I currently make way more money than my wife but she is studying for an occupation to make more money than me because I said that if she does I'll be a househusband, and she basically sucks at everything domestic. I already do all the cooking and ironing and she doesn't really get bathroom scrubbing and stuff like that so she really wants it. I've thought a lot about what I'd do if I were in the position of a househusband. I'd want to do it in a masculine way so while I'd cook and clean I'd also build furniture to make organization and cleaning easier, maybe do a bunch of home improvement like roofing, plumbing and putting insulation in the walls. Make some closet furniture so I can press my wife's work clothes in advance and store them. Learn how to dry clean. make a herb/vegetable garden or some small scale crop. And basically thin…

Regardless of what it's supposed to be Redpill is not something you go to if you already have your shit together. Its not populated by a bunch of alpha males bonding over collective bro-codes but beta-males trying to recover from what they see as live fucking them over. In the threads posting pics of what the average man/woman looks like my first thought was "Nobody knows what the word average means". So I don't exactly trust that OP's assessment of what plain couples are. Also I seriously don't think people overrate themselves more often than they underrate themselves. I'm still trying to find the documentary but men and women were using a computer program to design the ideal woman. The women created anywhere from porn stars to Jessica Rabbit, while the men cr…

Maybe I haven't been here long enough but what's this about Disney movies? I know I liked a lot of Disney growing up but as a kid I was under the impression that the princess/romance centered ones were treated as unrealistic cootie filled chick flicks by the boys. At the very least I've known more women than men who's romantic expectations are influenced by them, or complaining about others of their gender being influenced by them. I'm not trying to dispute the claim that redpill has some weird …

At that point you just have to advertise up front and hook up with people with the same goals and expectations. There's enough people in the world where exceptions to generalities are not that hard to come by so most people should be okay unless they have contradictory standards.

Playing Devil's advocate a bit here: Shouldn't we love and appreciate women for this as opposed to assuming that they love like men. It being different doesn't mean that it's worse. A man would sacrifice himself for the betterment of his mate and proginy, but a woman will carry on preserving what a man deemed important enough to sacrifice for.

I was under the impression that dread was a post communication strategy. Effectively you're trying hard to not be the problem without succumbing to arbitrary manipulation or being subservient which would require expressing and listening to sort out shit tests from comfort value desires.
/r/RedPillWomen24/04/17 09:34 PM

I don't understand why bring Dread to the point of flirting with other women. the first few steps are mostly 'become hot' and 'get your shit together'. after all that wouldn't it be breakup time if there's still a problem? (assuming you're not just randomly being a dick.)

In this thread either the woman or man is far above average. I'm wondering if gender and sexuality needs to be stated so we can see if there is a pattern. Pill affiliation is probably relevant too because often when I'm on this sub I feel like Hollywood logic is in effect when it comes to evaluating people.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/17 06:40 PM

Personally, I don't want to cheat. I want to put my penis in other women but that'smore of an acknowledgement that hot women didn't stop existing after I got married. I'm not resentful in any way. that said me and my wife have had MMF and MFF threesomes and messed around a bit with couples so I'm not exactly the right demographic for this question. If a girl is down for casual sex with a married guy (I'm upfront about being married in those situations) its just my wife's permission away.

That was phrased wrongly. I meant to say 'even if' at the beginning of that sentence to imply that I don't think that's what's going on but if it is interpreted that way I think that what I'm saying doesn't change.

At the very least can we rate them in a radar chart and take into account class proximity. There are a lot of factors to physical attractiveness and a 1-10 number is not great for something with a nebulous consensus for the average.

Well sure. Prime example is going to the gym and eating right. You make your body hurt and consume fewer delicious things that your body desperately wants. Instincts tell you that sugar and fat are great and you need as much of it as possible. And when you're full your brain takes like half an hour to register the situation. If you excercise after not being active for a while your body says 'Fuck you! Who said you're allowed to move so much?!' and actively delivers pain and refuses to work prope…

I've seen a bit of talk about alternatives to RP which did get me thinking about one thing that I do admire about the sidebars and resources (as opposed to the sub) is that it's about being proactive. The general advice in regard to dealing with sex and relationships is 'communicate' but the only option when communications break down is to jump ship. Nothing on improving yourself and thriving to not be the problem and there's no concerted effort or community that treats these problems. Earlier i…

To be fair the sub more resembles a trauma ward for toxic femininity than being about the core message of taking control of your own happiness, getting your life and body together, a d not being socially manipulated to be successful in sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/17 03:53 PM

Kind of my point. If it only works on vapid weak-minded doormats, there's enough supply to meet the demand. One could argue that that is a problem that needs fixing or that misogynistic attitudes towards women generate them and its ultimately bad for women and bad for relationships, but I think that there's a steady supply of them regardless of the nature of thier source or whether or not its a good thing.

I would guess that all men that aren't into rape want their sex partners to desire them at this point. Masturbation and porn technology has gotten to the point where a partner contains too many complications for simply sexual gratification. The 'doesn't matter had sex' sentiment is more out of desperation, something they would not go for if they had the option. Actually I think thirsty behavior is the primary thing that TRP should be against.

I didn't want to imply that you just wanted a virgin to control. What I mean is that we don't quite fit into the polyamorous crowd because we're straightlaced and relatively conservative with our approach to sex with people outside of our relationship but aren't really traditionalist either. Typically we're the weird ones in crowds that save themselves for marriage and the weird ones in crowds (that are too numerous) that can't seem to maintain a relationship past a year while also the weird one…

In regards to alphas, excluding what can be perceived as morally negative traits, it is essentially traits that allow a man to control and accomplish. This is not without consequence as it also accounts for their failures to be as spectacular as their accomplishments because 'anything a man wants to do' includes stupid ass shit that he has no business doing for his sake along with others. I'm a little confused but if you're saying that RP wants to make female sex worth as much as male sex to the opposite sex then I would say that would be a fair point but RP seems to be about getting the sex. One of the sentiments that informs Red Pill is that sex is a commodity that women control and dole out to manipulate men. The idea that men are lucky to get access to sex and should be grateful to obtain it as well as the rejection of being put on a proverbial plantation and fed scraps of se…

Now in your actual post I would say that the confusion of what alpha and beta are comes from describing them in mutually exclusive terms. In both descriptions you mention it as 'is an alpha' or 'is a beta' as if that was the whole and leave it at that as if one is desirable above the other and as if they both don't have consequence. When women see the discrepencies based on those terms they stop seeing eye to eye because in the end they're effectively being told what they are attracted to when c…

Not really. I came here relatively recently because I'm fairly liberal/feminist but I sympathize with red pill rhetoric through r/redpillwomen, especially after going through The Surrendered Wife, but cannot get over the latter half of the ideas in the redpill and married redpill subs that involve power games that I feel betrays the bigger notions that it introduces. I think a lot of preference revolve around trust. Obedience and subservience are positively trustworthiness in fidelity and capable of actualizing your desires willingly. Negatively they are features of an automaton without enough agency to induce a romantic attraction. These are desires that are at odds with each other as we want people to be under our control enough to trust them but are attracted to willfulness.

After this thread, I have no clue what submissiveness means because everyone has some different way of describing it. In general, the way I see it, submissiveness and assertiveness are negative and positive traits and a LOT of people (not women or men specifically) could stand to learn how to have the one they lack. Anyone who says they're submissive women is only going to take it so far. Even if you consider your partner a subordinate if they don't have enough agency to the point where you can'…

Not necessarily. I think that kind of thing can't be predicted by 'girl types'. I feel like most of the subjects involving red/blue/purple pill and mate selection have a very movie logic or upper middle-class suburb setting for how things go down and why. But in the interest of sticking to the subject: When I think of a 'girl next door' type, I think of a girl who is at sharing similar upbringing, values and interests as myself, has a balance of cute to beautiful rather than being a 'perfect 10 hardbody', a bit tomboyish, and who's charms revolve less around excitement or e…

I'm not in favor of full dread, but I've never seen that conversation go anywhere good. Honestly communicating "I am unhappy with the amount of sex I have" without the word 'you' showing up in the sentence is a gateway but doesn't really go anywhere long term. Long term requires action. Weird thing about dread gaming is that the first steps is basically to stop being the problem before it goes into a full on hostage negotiation. The first bit seems to work out enough on it's own.

Male, 3. My wife and two fuckbuddies approved by my wife. counting anytime my penis is pleasured, that number goes to 5. Appropriate n-count number depends on your relationship goals. If you're actively seeking long term monogamous relationships I think something is wrong when that number is above 10. otherwise above 30 seems like a wide net for collecting sexual baggage.

Looking at the wikipedia article. Its fucking complicated. In fact it's nebulous by sheer definition and as I said 'all over the place' by it's basic premise. It also leads me to conclude tht you're labeling them as misinformed because they don't agree or just don't talk to or see enough videos of antifeminists/egalitarians, or whatever label I'm throwing them into, to even know why they disagree because many of them are aware of third wave feminism by those terms.

In the case of Democrats; Then why would it be assumed they're misinformed if there is something new happening within feminism that they'd abandon the label for different grounds that keep their ideals that they believe feminism used to have? You seem to be doing the same with egalitarianism. What are they misinformed about? What do they not understand about third wave feminism? Do you understand third wave feminism? Often when people say that the people that oppose something are misinformed or …

There's a bit of a problem with that example. If you vote democrat and they consistently make legislative positions and stances that you don't find to conform to what it means to be a democrat, wouldn't you drop the party? As a party Democrat and Republican are drastically different from what they were almost a century ago to the point where they're on opposite sides of the liberal/conservative spectrum than from where they started. It would mean that you're voting anti-democrat as you noted by …

I quoted exactly where you are describing what I 'want to say'. What I am saying is that in this conversation you have increasingly started using language that makes affirmative statements about groups that from my experiences aren't true so I can't exactly take your word on it that you've listened to the subject with an open mind. One thing I find strange is that you're claiming to know about the whole of egalitarianism and anti-feminists but from my experiences what you're saying about them is…

You want to say that the lunatics speak for the movement and they don't. Because I've been reading up and discussing these issues for many years. There are a set of talking points to egalitarians and anti-feminists that are defined because they are reactionary to feminism. How can I trust that you've actually listened to these people with any actual sincerity or empathy when you're telling me what I want to say when in my previous reply said that I was not arguing the merits of feminism? But I do take it that you are saying that you know all about egalitarianism and its ideology however from talking to you it seems like you don't. I wish I could upvote this more. Humans are diverse enough that entire groups need at least a little less generalizing than they sometimes get. Its like whenever I'm with a group and there's a dispute about where to eat. I drop out of the conversation because so many people will just reject an entire culture when in any of them I'll find something I like. There's never a category of food where I just don't like anything that that culture has done with food.

So let me get this straight. Lets say feminist is met with threats, assault, theft and having pets murdered, all by feminists and so define themselves as egalitarian instead of feminist, but they are misinformed because feminism isn't a monolith. Basically, Not All Feminists Are Like That. This means to disregard that feminists of social, political and organizational power include unapolegetic rapists, abusers, murderers, and supporters of regimes that oppress women, talk about taking pride in m…

Most Anti-feminists that aren't MGTOW/Redpill seem to be anti-wingnut or anti-identity politics rather than anti-feminists when defining it simply as wanted equal rights and opportunities across gender. Often citing that they're egalitarian because they feel that feminism stopped representing equality. The same can be said about interacting with feminists and seeing how they justify the methods they'll stoop to when they have organizational power instead of anonymous internet folk.

I can see that. And similar things happen in black urban culture too. For example; You know that stereotype of black men not smiling for pictures? I was actively coached into that. My brother too, who to this day looks like he's pissed off in photos. My elders said it looks goofy and that I should want to look confident and 'hard' for pictures.

i imagine that there are significant regional differences. At least from my experiences, while American blacks have a lot of cultural ties and common threads the west coast and southern east coast are very different. One interesting bit was that around 2003-2004 it seemed like crunk and hyphy were basically different words for the same thing only west and east coast respectively. Don't you think that's, well, drawing them into one group and treating them as if they are represented by a few vocal wingnuts? I'm not saying that it's not understandable, your experience with them would color anyone that would be under the same banner even if it's an unwilling banner, but you seem to be arguing that feminism shouldn't be judged like that, and that looks like an affirmative statement that they tend to be misinformed and/or bigoted. That is increadibly reassuring to see. /r/PurplePillDebate19/03/17 04:33 PM

Vocal Wingnuts often start looking like the face of feminism because they seem to be the leaders of the movement. Sarsour for instance was one of the primary organizers for the Women's March and the Women's Strike. It feels kind of scary when a woman who organizes the biggest feminist event ever is promoting Sharia law. Also scary, one of the key speakers during the women's march spent some time in prison after capturing, torturing, anally raping, and killing a man without any kind of remorse, a…

This makes me think that you haven't taken the time to even know what these factions are saying and assuming they are saying the same thing as Redpill without checking. It's like how people equate feminism in general to misandric arnarchist that men should be put into camps.

Two questions. How often do feminists discuss and encourage positive masculinity as a subject? One issue that men face is that female predators such as rapists and child molesters are either fairly invisible by society or receive less punishment with some studies and statistics suggesting that they are just as numerous as male sexual predators but due to various factors are reported and punished less. Studies also show that abuse is very cyclical and that suffering abuse like this breeds men who…

What would you say to articles about implied epidemics of women rejecting men like that such as this, and this? Something interesting in there, "abolishing gender roles". Does that imply that gender roles are inherently negative? I wish I still had the textbook so I could reference but I was reading up on a study that suggested that children with homosexual parents/adoptive parents were more successful when domestic roles were clear and suggested that childhood development cared about gender roles such as homemaker and breadwinner but not the sex or even the gender in those roles. Can you give me some examples? something I can reference would be nice but personal anecdotal ones would be sufficient. As a side note, this does make me think about whether or not Positive Masculinity has been codified in feminist theory or if femininity is assumed positive and masculinity is assumed negative. I'll have to look up some stuff unless someone has a direction to point me at.

But MRAs do create safe spaces for women. At least in my area they do. They are very low-key but they do. I don't know about the internet at large or elsewhere but nearby there are a few. In regards to MRAs being opposed to non-traditionally masculine, I've had the opposite experience. I mean, that's one reason why Redpill doesn't really like MRAs. So feminists do not cross over into egalitarian territory in terms of action? At this junction I am discussing individual or groups of feminists as opposed to the movement itself where -fem is in the name so isn't about men except by proxy. That's part of what I'm questioning. Intersectionality makes things kind of wonky too. Also the feminist subreddit sidebar does define feminism as an extension of Egalitarianism because it is about equality and would ideally die as a movement if that was ever achieved because its not about female supremacy.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/17 05:45 PM

I do remember a few Huffington Post articles that talk about this being an issue. Namely that Househusbands and feminist men being divorced at a rate they thought was too high and encouraging women to not do that. I'm not sure what to think about those articles.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/17 05:42 PM
3

I can understand that. But somehow a 'wave' of feminism introduced intersectionality in the mix which includes race and orientation into the mix. Would that not include men and their issues? As far as individual feminists who care about men's rights, do you have any examples of any that have done anything about it? Anecdotal examples are fine.

I think that's because they don't like the idea that masculinity is inherently bad. I've seen 'Men's groups' (IRL meetings) that discuss men's issues and emotionally support each other but only regard masculinity as bad when it is used as a weapon. Like to shame other men into action, or to get them to shut up because they're 'whining'. It doesn't help that any positive trait that can be called masculine can be conflated to be a negative trait as well, and even feminists will resort to insults t…

I don't know what percentage is the type but I suspect that the average woman that identifies as a feminist wouldn't attack other women for wanting to stop female child molesters. To me that's just lip service that amounts to 'Not All Redpill Are Like That' when someone points out that they have right ideas like self improvement but goes off the deep end to include control games. I think its because attempts to replicate Redpill don't really ride why Redpill has some success. Namely that Redpill is a result of a long history stretching back to Geocities days (On the internet that's the equivalent of riding horses and sacking castles.) and that redpill has a core belief of how the world works in regards to sexual strategy that works even if it's eventual outcome is a pale reflection of it's root message. "Conventionally" hot girls tend to blend together in my brain. Some kind of weirdness or flaw stands out for me and sometimes just becomes cute. I think this is the winning reply. To add to it, don't think too much about the type of porn. Weird porn is weird because it's fake. Don't they have completely unrelated goals? Feminists, whether we're talking about extremes like 'all men are rapists' or just want more non big titty bikini ninja women in their videogames, essentially want women to have as much opportunity or treated as having the same potential as men. One could make the argument that this is natural. A guy's natural state is to go out and do lethal things to bring back resources. The guy in the first pick is someone young that can be pair bonded with but you wouldn't believe that he's survived enough lethal things to be successful. The second pick is a guy who's seen some shit and probably survived enough to be highly successful. So tastes would start to change with age as one's preference goes from comfort to survival.
