What about Adolf Hitler's view on feminism, is it interesting?

Cool. Far more than 1 in 6 though, even without emotional abuse.

Unfortunately many people in r/MensRights tend to be bigoted regarding trans issues, so I guess there is some bigotry there although not nearly as much as one casually finds in feminist spaces, TERF and non TERF. They also tend to focus on issues like false accusations of sexual violence and neglect male suicide, homelessness, etc., which I think are as important if not more.

r/AITA's sexism / misandry has been widely reported on. I don't even read the comments there, it's appalling.

the supreme court did away with the draft It did absolutely not. The 1981 ruling is still effective. What do you think of the Violence Against Women Act?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates27/08/20 08:37 PM
1

The court is precisely what protects people like us from the excesses of institutionalized feminism. The courts are already infected with institutional misandry, that's what OP's post is about. There is a need for a deep reform of the whole American justice system.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates27/08/20 01:33 PM

Saying it's misogyny is victim-blaming. It's like saying that a man victim of domestic abuse being arrested instead of his female abuser is misogyny. That's frankly bullshit. It's just misandry.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates24/08/20 05:34 PM

Clearly it was her fault for wearing that shirt that showed a bit of cleavage or his fault for wearing wet swimming trunks. Strawman. Doesn't happen, and especially not in court. Now if you stopped being such an obnoxious misandrist you'd rather ask yourself the following question: would the system be permitted to work the way it works if the accused were female?
/r/MensRights15/08/20 05:10 PM
7

Should innocent men go to prison? Should men get severe PTSD from the process of being cleared by the justice system, with a rooftop risk of suicide, because they've been treated like sub-humans during the whole process? If a significant proportion of the accused were female, such a system wouldn't be permitted to work the way it works.
/r/MensRights15/08/20 04:54 PM
1

The amount of sexism and discrimination I felt through this whole process can’t be properly related in a reddit post. You're right to use the word sexism, it needs to be named because that's fundamentally what it is. I hope that you get back on your feet. Ideally, both your accuser and the court should be sued.

You said women commit 20% of all crimes, which is wrong.
/r/MensRights11/08/20 07:27 PM

Women commit 25 - 30% of all crimes are convicted of 25 - 30% of all crimes (from fraud to murder). They lead in some categories like child murders, there are plenty of good female candidates for the death penalty. Do you seriously believe the fact that 110 of the 110 people who were put to death in the last 5 years were men is only a coincidence?
/r/MensRights11/08/20 01:34 PM
1

There are hundreds of women convicted of killing children each year, many of them would be good candidates for the death penalty. Many of the men who've been condemned to death only murdered 1. They're not Ed Kemper or Jeffrey Dahmer. The only reason they never get it is that women are considered more human than men and therefore deserving of better treatment.
/r/MensRights11/08/20 01:28 PM

I think such institutions might actually be useful. Their rulings aren't prescriptive but advisory anyway. Languages have an internal logic and some formulations or expressions have more grammatical, syntactical or etymological consistency than others.

Misandry is there too, but not the adjective(s): - misandrist - misandristic - misandric (1) misandrist could be used in all places, just like racist; (2) misandrist could be used for persons while misandristic would be used for objects and ideas, on the model of misogynist / misogynistic; (3) misandrist could be used with misandric instead of misandristic. (3) seems the most popular but anyone knows which use is correct - if any? Too bad there isn't a "académie anglaise" to decide on these issu…

I think the problem is that misandry isn't recognized as a valid concept yet, despite being omnipresent. This alpha-beta talk proceeds from internalized misandry. We're in a weird situation in which men are the primary enforcers of their own oppression, which they deny. They only protest against the most obnoxious excesses of gynocentrism, but very rarely against their own condition of disposability.

Many gender norms even in modern times are driven by women more then they are by men. Especially when it comes to hypergamy and the providership gender role Who are always rambling about the alpha-beta dichotomy and equivalent concepts, men or women?

For those on the TERF side, they argue it's "men" attempting to invade women's spaces and insert any vice them. For those on the trans- rights side, one of the arguments is that it's cis-men who oppose trans- rights, as if being a man discounts your opinion. I've heard that from some pro-trans feminists, how most TERFs are cis men in the end. Do men really go on rants about how male fetuses should be aborted for the sole reason of their sex or call other men 'moids' and 'rape maggots'? A TERF is …

Thanks for the reply. What makes it even murkier is that the two issues---macho posturing and internalized anti male hostility---can both masquerade as the other. Yes, it all comes down to internalized misandry in the end, which most men seem to have some form of. On the other hand, I did feel the anger and shock and despair that I described above when slowly delving into gender politics over the years and seeing just how much bitterness and hatred many feminist groups held for men. The worst to…

I disagree with you so I must be a 'tradcon'. Yes, if you give your opinion on an essential point that differentiates between tradcons and non-tradcons, that makes you either a tradcon or a non-tradcon. I thought the law of excluded middle wasn't that hard to understand. You didn't address the real issue: whining about misandry doesn't achieve the outcomes we want and never will. Again, you use 'whining' to describe the calling out of misandry in a male advocacy subreddit. It is not 'whining' to…

Because it's weak in both appearance and practicality. Calling out misandry is "weak in appearance"? You really seem to be part of the problem. Calling out "misandry" or sexism, using labels etc. Doesn't actually achieve very much. It does more than mocking the "purple-haired cat ladies" that only exist in your mind. It gives people a frame of reference, which they currently lack. On the other hand, the more descriptive ways of referring to those attitudes by talking about bitter divorcees and c…

Yes, there is some overlap with the so-called "toxic masculinity" although I like better to use the terms "strong-man posturing" because of the slightly different connotation of "toxic masculinity" which is used to gaslight men when it comes to the expression of their emotions, as if "showing your emotions" and crying would help men whatsoever in a world where male disposability / male conditional human worth is the norm.

why did it happen at this particular time? Because reforms of the penal code don't happen that often? it's not going to have the resources or backing to get passed. I don't think adding 7 words to a definition requires a lot of resources. I'm saying that it seems like its position within a broader, well publicised, feminist agenda may have been what helped it get momentum. Feminist groups didn't lobby for that at all. They lobbied for many other changes to the law, this one wasn't on their minds…

This particular addition to the penal definition of rape wasn't political, meaning that it was decided neither because of lobbying from male advocacy groups (they are too small and too few) or feminist groups (they don't give a damn about that), nor because of its inclusion in the particular preoccupations of the party in power. The article alludes to it coming from the justice system itself. Meaning that the magistrates were frustrated to not be able to charge people for rape for things they di…
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates04/07/20 04:21 AM

I think they just recommended that the definition be extended and the legislator included this extension in the reform on sex crime laws that was planned for a long time. Not all changes are political.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates04/07/20 03:59 AM
3

From what the article says, it seems it was a change that came from within the justice system itself as magistrates had a practical definition of rape that didn't coincide with the penal code's.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates04/07/20 02:21 AM
1

I know about that, it's horrible. But what does it have to do with the conversation?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates04/07/20 01:37 AM
2

Yes. It means that if the non-consensual act of penetration is committed on the person of the "doer" of said penetration (it is always the penis-holder who penetrates the other, even when he's the victim), it is rape as well.
/r/MensRights04/07/20 01:15 AM
1

Or he was so surprised that he didn't react.
/r/MensRights04/07/20 01:09 AM
2

If a woman rapes a man, the "author of the penetration" is still the man as he has the penis. That's why female-on-male rape isn't considered rape legally speaking in most countries including the US and the UK, unless the woman actively penetrates the man with her fingers or an object.
/r/MensRights04/07/20 12:40 AM
3

I found that. (Google Trad.) The law of August 3, 2018 broadens the definition of rape in the case of penetration committed "on the person of the author" . Previously rape included only the penetration of the perpetrator on the person of the victim . The extension of the scope of the offense should reinforce its repression by apprehending new situations. Indeed, the qualification of rape was rejected in many cases. For example, the fact that the author of imposing the victim to make him a blowjo…

This addition to the definition wasn't actively advocated for by feminists, this is what made it a surprise to everyone. If my memory is correct the feminists wanted three main changes to the law: the institution of statutory rape laws in France for minors below the age of consent (15), the lift of the statute of limitations for rape and the introduction of the notion of consent in the penal code (rape and sexual assault are defined by coercion, which is understood as the negation of consent in …

So you think that saying "the male dominance hierarchy hurts men a lot: early death, precarity, suicide. But it makes men more productive and society benefits from it so we should embrace that system" is not anti-male?
/r/MensRights03/07/20 10:03 PM
6

I think we should think outside the frame of the American elections. I strongly dislike Biden for the same reasons as you, I'm not sure he can be labelled as left-wing though. The thing is that for instance supporting a non-gender neutral DV system isn't inherent to the left at all, whereas Elam's pro-male disposability and nearly social Darwinist ideas seem quite essential to right-wing thinking.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates03/07/20 09:46 PM
5

So to him hierarchies = good, therefore hierarchies = male. The male dominance hierarchy / male status system is male disposability, that's what he said. Early death, precarity and suicide. That's the plight of men. If the right supports all of this because "it makes men slightly more productive, curing cancer, blabla" it means that the right is anti-male. How can someone who shares Paul Elam's views calls themself a MRA? Moreover, how can the MRA crowd not call him out on that?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates03/07/20 07:29 PM
5

Farrell is a moderate and Bax died almost 100 years ago. Do you deny that the vast majority of prominent MRAs lean right? I'm not anti-MRM at all, but I think the MRM needs reform and attracts right-wingers who are anti-male to the core. Scratch a right-winger and you find a misandrist who rants about "beta males," "soyboys" and how trans women are "creepy men in dresses."
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates03/07/20 06:52 PM

I don't disagree with his assessment of the situation. I disagree with him supporting the oppressive system he describes with nonsensical and anti-male justifications like "it makes men more productive."

That it's possible to abolish in the first place. Even if there were a biological component to such thing, human beings are highly modellable animals and fighting against it will attenuate it and its consequences. That there will be no major side effects from your attempts to abolish it. What could be worse than male disposability anyway? It is enforced through the "toolification" of men by status-sexual women and through the use of anti-male language such as the terms 'loser,' 'beta male,' etc. The male status system has terrible consequences for men, for instance the fact they commit suicide at four times the female rate. Let's not be gender essentialists, what is oppressive to men needs to be abolished or at least greatly attenuated. It begins with naming the problem and banning all of that status-related lingo.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates27/06/20 11:02 AM

More men are affection and validation starved than women Yes, and status is the way to go for men to get that lacking validation. The male status system is what creates male disposability. Both genders enforce it on men.

What I said is that women easily form groups to fight for their rights and interests compared to men. You say that's because of traditionalism, I say that's because of the male status system. Most "redpilled" men who understood that society treats men like shit turn to a more extreme version of traditionalism, and traditionalism is based on male disposability. You make good points. The only reason why most male issues exist is male apathy with regards to these issues. The Jordan Peterson phenomenon and MGTOW are really symptomatic of men's incapacity to "do collectivism" and fight for their rights (and interests) as women so easily do. It proceeds to a great extent from the male status system which as you pointed out enforces a large number of gender standards on men (soyboy, cuck, beta male, etc.) We at r/ProMaleCollective understood that, you should…

Violence isn't male. Women are slightly more likely than men to assault their partner in relationships and lesbian relationships are by far the most violent with 70% of the population having been victimized. The reason why criminal careers are picked by men most of the time is probably a mixture of physical constraints that discourage women to do so + the oppressive male status system. Although I fully support equal custody laws I don't think fatherlessness is the main issue, that seems to be a …

I'm a regular user of 4chan, boards other than /pol/, but I know it enough to know there is no equivalent to #KillAllMen there. The most virulently misogynistic spaces were incel subreddits before they were taken down. Even there the hatred paled in comparison to what radfems utter on Twitter. There was no call to murder or to reduce the female population which is to my opinion a significant difference.
/r/MensRights29/05/20 02:36 PM
2

I insist there is no misogyny equivalent to #KillAllMen even on the /pol/ board of 4chan. You can't equate the "go back to the kitchen" boomer jokes shared on a remote alt-right forum with a call to murder often repeated publicly on social media, sometimes by hundreds of thousands of women at once. It's just further dehumanization of men if you think both are equivalent.
/r/MensRights29/05/20 01:53 PM

tacky Again, don't downplay the worst forms of misandry. Start seeing other men as human. it follows similar tracks of rhetoric found in both sports and gaming It does not, there is no equivalent to the KillAllMen mantra even in the most misogynistic gaming communities and there has never been.

Depends on what's the legislation. In my country (France) the age of consent is 15 so it wouldn't be counted as sexual abuse under the law whether the older person is female or male. Of course people would see it as weird although not as much as if said older person was male. You were really born in the wrong place. Most countries don't have a sex offender registry, have age of consent laws in the 14 - 16 range with a clause that makes it not apply when the age difference is small. Unfortunately gynocentric America won't change its laws until a significant number of women are hurt by it, male victims of an abusive justice like you don't matter.

More and more I'm realizing that the reason men do that is because women have that social status in society as a default without having to lift a finger. Yep, women are human beings, men are human doings. The corollary of status is social validation (attention, welcome and unwelcome, consideration, compliments, respect, etc.) which is what people are addicted to. Women are showered in validation by default while men are invisible and inexistent unless they get some of that sweet status (a fragil…

Since the public sphere was arguably much greater than the private sphere, it granted men higher social status. To me, is of higher social status the person that doesn't risk dying on the job, not because they're incapable of doing said job, but because nobody wants the extra human women to suffer such a fate. Just like an aristocrat used to be prevented from working certain jobs, "you're too high-born for that." There were many children working and dying in the mines - all male, over 100 of the…

Personally, I don't really have a specific term, like toxic masculinity or even harmful gender expectations. If it's a gendered expectation, it's probably bad. Stoicism or in other words take the abuse and shut the fuck up about it is pretty misandristic, and it's intrinsically linked to gynocentrism.

Even if the term is often used abusively to attack women who defend men or simply don’t hate them, internalized misandry is still a thing, or at least was in the past when many women had gender expectations about other women. IMO it’s important to use "internalized misandry," first, because it describes it accurately, when a man tells himself or another man to suck it up, or that his role is to be useful to women, etc. that’s misandry. And second, because people still deny the existence of misan…

The term "toxic masculinity" should be rejected, as you pointed it out the meaning has changed from "masculinity is toxic because men are toxic and abuse others (women)" to "masculinity is toxic because men are hurt by it." The correct naming of the second is "internalized misandry" but for some reason people from both the gynocentric r/MensLib and the conservative r/MensRights shy away from it.

n obscure student group designed to come up with "radical ideas" had a bad idea. Gaslighting euphemism. I wonder how people come up with "radical ideas" such as that one, it wouldn't cross my mind unless I were consumed in hatred, especially considering that men are already a minority on campuses, and if it's a social sciences campus, a tiny minority of the student population.

A common feminist gaslighting tactic is to argue that the draft should just be abolished so there shouldn't be any discussion of including women while purposely ignoring that the draft is unfortunately necessary in many countries that border agressive neighbors like Finland, most of Eastern Europe or South Korea, and that abolishing it there will stay out of the question in the near future. Of course it's motivated by the belief that the extra human women are too worthy of living to die in a war…

Yep, a small number of very productive, very litigious men would do the trick. Advocacy needs to be radical though, no need to pander to the "strong man posturing" by restricting the subjects to "non whiny stuff" only.
/r/MensRights13/05/20 08:42 PM

pick on them not the whiny stiff The thing is if you surrender to that "strong man posturing" tendency men have, and choose to avoid all "whiny (albeit valid) stuff" you're gonna attract a more right-wing, traditional-conservative audience that won't be pro-male at all, actually a bit like on this sub.
/r/MensRights13/05/20 07:32 PM

You make good points although I don't totally agree. The tendency that men have to shy away from what you call "whiny stuff" is what makes any prospect of a successful pro-male mass movement unlikely. Feminists play with that too when they mock "male tears" etc. This is what should be understood and tackled first because it seems to be what hinders pro-male advocacy. Canceling Student Debt I'm very wary of that given that 2/3 of the debt is held by women. That sounds like a massive addition to the already too large male-to-female tax money transfer. Maybe the priority should be to end the discrimination of boys in school and to help young men go to college instead of giving additional help to the privileged gender, young women already out-earning young men.

The general mindset among MGTOW is to shun away from advocacy because of the "we individualist strong men" crap. Take TurdFlyingMonkey or Colttaine, two among the largest MGTOW YouTubers if not the two largest, both have very clearly stated they discourage advocacy and activism. If you're so delusional as to refuse the premise that MGTOW generally shun away from pro-male advocacy and that the reason is because of a moronic individualistic mindset then I can do nothing for you.
/r/MensRights11/05/20 10:52 AM

It's hard to not antagonize feminism when e.g. you advocate for equal protection of male victims of DV and equal repression of female-perpetrated DV, given how strongly feminists oppose these.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/05/20 10:39 AM

Also, you're confusing a proto-philosophy (MGTOW) and attributing it as the reason for the MRM's movement failure, without considering that there are MGTOWs who are also MRAs. I'm not saying MGTOW is the reason the MRM is unsuccessful. I'm saying MGTOW is a symptom of why the MRM is unsuccessful. When women rightly or wrongly believe they're collectively victims of an injustice, they don't form WGTOW groups and "secede" from society, they just make things change.

Please someone explain to me why they call it "toxic masculinity" and not "misandry / internalized misandry." Feminists don't use the terms "toxic femininity" to refer to the set of female gender expectations, they use "misogyny / internalized misogyny" instead.

Much appreciated insight. Funny how they have no idea that they benefit from privilege and special treatment everywhere they go, and still find ways to victimize themselves. I agree that our society is inherently gynocentric but that doesn't mean that gynocentrism is an innate, biological instinct just like sexual instinct or empathy are. I remember when a girl slapped me across the face in primary school after I had said something that did not please her, I stood like a fool and didn't respond. By doing that you imply female atheist have some sort of responsibility for the accusations directed towards important members of the atheist community. When someone loses their job over unsubstantiated and likely false accusations and nobody stands to defend them because the accused person is unfortunate enough to be male, everyone's responsible. You claim the accusations are false and present no evidence for it. Those that targeted David Silverman were widely reported upon and are false to a v…

I think that might simply be a question of labeling. A lot of women join radical feminist groups that are nothing but a cesspool of hatred and female supremacism, those groups aren’t considered far right because of identity politics but they’re absolutely far right in nature.

There should definitely be some deplatforming and some loss of jobs over the most overtly misandristic comments those people make. In a society in which 80% of suicides are male dehumanization of men must be tackled.

Everyone knows that sexual assault happens to men and boys. Even misandristic feminists don't deny it. The more controversial and more important fact is that sexual assault is perpetrated by women against men in frequency similar to that of male-on-female sexual assaults. Misandrists and gynocentrists have no problem admitting to any negative thing provided that it's perpetrated by men.

Focusing on girls' health and education when girls have better health and perform better than boys at school, that sounds right.

Because of gynocentrism. Because you're fundamentally worth less than a woman.

Document everything. Get witnesses. Did she cheat on you? Did she ever slap you or hit you? Did she ever hit your children? Did she ever spend too much of your money? Label it financial abuse. Was she demeaning or nagging? Label it psychological abuse. Get a lawyer, be vicious and remember you’re the helpless victim of a terrible abuser. The court will be discriminating against you on the basis of your sex so you need to act smarter. Shouldn’t have gotten married in the first place. Good luck an…

Women do have a highly disproportionate chance of being raped / experiencing sexual violence. Source(s): (I have to say I have yet to do a full read through of the third listed one, but its information from a reliable organization) These studies are very problematic and frankly sexist because they don't use the same definitions for rape and "made-to-penetrate." "Made-to-penetrate" is defined as through physical coercion only. The study I provided to you is the gold standard of the studies on sex…

Thats like saying you’re choosing to put the issue such as women having a highly disproportionate chance of being raped / experiencing sexual violence Women do not have a highly disproportionate chance of being raped / experiencing sexual violence. Source: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4062022/ So then I ask, why do YOU choose to raise the issue of mens suicide rate to the same level as almost double to quadruple the amount of women who attempt suicide? See how its not that easy w…

Maybe you feel like there is a gigantic disproportion of coverage. And maybe thats true. I don't feel that there is, I know that there is. Why do you think that my criticism of his words renders me unable to feel that men also face blatant sexism in this world? I’m disgusted by all sexism, and despite acknowledging that men absolutely do face systematic sexism I also know that women do face countless more examples of sexism. I don't think that they face countless more examples of sexism (I think…

Ask yourself “is it because women face more problems in their daily lives that they have more access to resources to combat them, or is it because whatever I feel is the reason”. Ask yourself: "Is it because men are seen as lesser human beings that the issues they face are so rarely talked about compared to women's issues despite being far more severe, or is it because whatever I feel is the reason?"

What are we supposed to gain from this information? Ignore all “new generation” women who raise concern about things that effect them disproportionately? I think what he's trying to say is that there is a gigantic disproportion in the attention given to a gender issue whether it affects women or men. For example the issue of male suicide - the killing of dozens of thousands of men every year - is taking less space in the public debate than the issue of the proportion of female students in STEM, …

Male disposability and gynocentrism are causing the gender suicide gap. Feminism does absolutely nothing against it while pretending to fight for equal treatment for both genders but feminism isn't directly causing the suicide gap.

Feminists blame men for it because they don't wash their hands as often as women do, completely ignoring the fact that the infection rate is only slightly greater for men and doesn't explain the much larger difference in actual death rates. Another case of victim blaming from people who don't really see men as human beings.

Yep. There exists no misogyny equivalent to the "Kill all men" mantra.

The problem of extreme misandry that calls for the death of men seriously needs to be addressed, there exists no equivalent misogyny calling for or rejoicing over the death of women. It's just another symptom of male disposability.

Not sure that the recurrent conflation of incels and PUAs with MRAs by the media is an involuntary error.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
