It's honestly really worrying how many people don't know the basics of how people are convicted. The misinformation definitely does not help the number of rapes that get reported.

No, that'd be for a not guilty of the accused. Conviction for a false accusation requires more than the accused not being found guilty.

Oh alright, it's just that the comment you replied to was talking about upping punishment. And IANAL, but conviction for falsely accusing someone requires quite a lot of evidence, not just a not guilty verdict for the accused.

What? No. You said it would be tough to prove a false accusation, and then seemed to imply that it would be easier to convict if the sentence was lighter. Burden of proof would be the same regardless of punishment.

You have to prove it either way...

This isn't really a problem with equality, more of double standards. If women were actually treating men equally we wouldn't have this problem.

Fucking hate r/trees. They don't even realize how much they are hurting their own cause.

So that's why we are all born with sin. The first thing we do when we come into this world is rape someone. The bible was right!

"Anything" includes creepy and desperate acts. I understand what you are getting from his post, but what his post is actually saying is that it is acceptable to act like a loser and possibly offend people if you can't get their attention by being genuinely interesting.

So it's OK to act creepy and desperate? What a sad little post we have here.

He was drawn there unconsciously? Dude, just admit you were wrong. It happens to the best of us.

He specifically told the woman working there he wasn't in the section to buy a children's book. Basic reading comprehension will take you far in life.

What does him having a child on the way have to do with him sitting alone in the kids section? He wasn't with his kids like the title implies. And him being an expectant father had absolutely nothing to do with him being in the section, so you're last point makes absolutely no sense.

I don't see the big deal; it is uncomfortable to have a single male sitting in the kids section. Same with a single female. And the title is horrendously misleading, considering he wasn't with his kid or wife at the time.

Maybe your concept of marriage isn't for me.

That is a horrifying viewpoint. It's a husband's right to spy on his wife? WTF? Being married doesn't mean that you give up your basic privacy rights. Well, maybe to you, but I guarantee you not for everyone else.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
