I dont think it actually matters whether you accept your appearance or not, just ask yourself why you equate attractiveness with value and why that value is so polarizing in your mind. Acceptance is just another word for compromise, which isn't the same as self knowledge. You need to know why this matters to you so much.

Yeah, this is an experience I've had maybe 5-6 times in my life and I'm only 25. By that I mean I've have 5 or 6 different guys latch themselves onto me and act weird whilst claiming they "only" wanted to get to know me. One guy came to my workplace every day for two weeks to "chat" and invite me to the movies. First thought is - "you can just as easily say this about anyone....man, woman, child, pig, goat". Theres nothing specific to men about these points that make it a uniquely universal male experience.
