Because we’re too busy working to be protesting and whining

I’m confused on what media everyone is following that females having lead roles is such a big topic that you’re actually getting tired of hearing it. I’m a pretty informed and worldly person and these female leads are definitely not being pushed in my face unless you’re talking about the advertisements for the movies themselves. You’re definitely not seeing this on mainstream American news all the time because Trump is 95% of their news, so if you’re tired of a point being shoved in your face un…

No. If gender doesn’t matter than you should just be able to pick whoever the fuck you want to design the role for and nobody should complain about. Since movies are products and they are created by businesses they should actually do whatever is going to make them the most money and let the rest of us argue on Reddit about it while they get rich. Ok that’s makes sense. So if it’s purely for marketing why is there a group of people who are pissed off about it? Plenty of products are only marketed to women, and are movies all of a sudden a male oriented products that if they are marketed towards females it’s an abomination? I totally understand the point the OP is making and I’m not saying I disagree with it. I just thought it was a stupid meme that had a poor argument. That’s all

I was commenting on the meme. Not your personal feelings. Thank you for the explanation but I’m not disagreeing with your point at all, it was just a stupid meme. I like when the memes on here are funny and have an argument that has very little for rebuttals. Yours was not that

Regardless if the point is correct or not, the easy rebuttal to this would be that a strong female character isn’t/shouldn’t be considered a social message

Men make more money than women simply because we are men

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
