Here's what I did. Idk if it's the best advice. I approach the hottest girl around. Gorgeous, gets hit on every day type of girl. She's probably going to say no. I suppose it's very useful when you need to find the rate of change at any given value (?) Precisely. For video games calculus might be useful for designing projectile motion or vehicle behavior. Anything to do with gravity or acceleration. I don't know how video games are designed.

Derivative is from calculus. Continuous functions (a graph with a bendy line on it) have a defined slope at every point. Because the line bends the slope changes instantaneously even with an infinitely small movement. A derivative is an equation that gives the slope of the function at any point. It's an extremely useful concept and basically the entire modern world was created using calculus. Regardless, most people don't need to know this and not knowing it does not make you illiterate.

Take any opportunity to hang out with people, even if it doesn't sound super fun. Invite people to hang out. If you're socially awkward you are going to look silly but you just have to keep being outgoing. Every day reflect on your social interaction and try to remember how people reacted and think about how you could have acter better or "cooler". This is what I had to do because I'm kind of awkward, you just have to make mistakes and learn from them and eventually you won't be so weird.
