You are, of course, correct. My choice of word was very poor. Perhaps I should have gone with people acting out of self-interest rather than respect for the work of Feynman. I find myself using increasingly moralistic language these days as a shorthand. I will work on more clear expression.

Doesn't all the research suggest that women do drop everything for Chad and behave in this way? Am I misreading the sidebar? While women may be more selective and differ in terms of the nature of their attraction (often more narrative based than visually based), the natural drive to reproduce must surely be there. I thought the AF/BB paradigm suggested that women would seek what they consider to be superior genes as often as possible, while seeking the comfort of a provider - who may not be the …

No-one should have been upset or butthurt over what you wrote. The Red Pill is a place to test ideas in the fire of true speech. I didn't agree with your opinion, but it is useful to have these opinions written to consider. Challenging opinions allow a man to either formulate his thinking more clearly or to change his beliefs.

There are many early Christian religious leaders who advised against marriage and suggested swearing off women entirely. There is also the monastic life, which was not so far removed from some of the principles of MGTOW.

All of these except for one, for me, come under the heading of common decency. I find it somewhat shocking that none of these concepts would naturally occur to someone as a reason why a relationship might be poor. The exception is the household finances concept. We know that most purchasing decisions are made by women: another area of control/manipulation. In my younger days I experienced, briefly, the effect of combining finances with a woman. It was surprising how quickly many of the things I …

I hear this a lot too and it disgusts me. The temporary "quiet life" that this behaviour might gain will only inform a partner that any issue magnified into an argument will be conceded.

Indeed it does, but I think a lot of people don't realise how strong the female desire for novel sexual partners is. It reminds me of the scene in Eyes Wide Shut where Nicole Kidman's character shocks Doctor Bill with the extent of her sexual desires for other men. In retrospect I should have made a full post and put some context on the study and relevance to MGTOW.

Some of the masculine norms they measured for were 'violence' and 'disdain for homosexuals'. It turns out that some violent people that hate certain groups have a few more screws loose. It is also worth noting that most of the participants were college students. One would imagine that being a traditional male at a college these days would lead to a lot problems.

"...these men dont have to participate in sky high cost of having children, they don't worry about alimony, healthcare or education." Although you place the blame on capitalism, the examples you give are all state interference and the welfare state. I do think that you are right that the West has emasculated men, but it is the welfare state that has done this. Where previously family units were important due to economic necessity, now you can simply tax single or divorced men to provide for incr…

I'm not sure if the consumer society is truly the result of capitalism. I would suggest that social conditioning has led to consumerism. If you look at the persuation work of Edward Bernays and others I think that is a better explaination of it. People are irrational most of the time and easily influenced. Scott Adams (the Dilbert guy) has been speaking a lot and I really like his explainations of the Trump success based on hypnotic techniques.
/r/MGTOW21/11/16 12:36 PM

The basis of capitalism is that two parties will trade on terms that are mutually beneficial. Both have to agree on a fair price or exchange. Under systems like socialism the state compels trade between people. When you compel people to do that you use force.
/r/MGTOW21/11/16 12:31 PM

True, but if there aren't any good alternatives I think I'll stick with capitalism. The places on earth that try other methods don't seem to do very well in terms of liberty.

Women respect social capital. If the financial success comes with this in the form of access to exclusive clubs/events then it would be respected. Many 'good careers' require displaying beta traits unless you are right at the top.

In some cultures losing your temper easily and not accepting insults is considered masculine behaviour. Latin countries are examples of this. However, I really like the values of stoicism. I would consider, instead of becoming unfazed, trying to work on a calm level of assertiveness. Perhaps some of the anger is from your current approach not working for dealing with people who are offending you.

Resistance training is great for both mental and physical well-being. It improves bone density, helps regulate weight and releases endorphines. I'm not so keen on the 'bodybuilding' aspect of it though. There's a tendency towards narcissism there. I'd say good results can be obtained by simply doing an hour a week. Probably the best bang for your time invested buck in fitness.

When I think about dying alone I think about my grandmothers. They both had at least a decade on my male grandparents. My Dad managed to be with his mother when she passed. However, she had such dementia that I doubt she was even aware of it. We all have to die alone, even if surrounded by people. When I have a fear of lonelyness I think that the real solution for me is a good social network. The SSRIs can be a good step if the problem is really severe. I wouldn't recommend them for anything mild to moderate. They have a blunting effect on emotions that can help you cope with work etc and get things back on track. However, they won't necessarily fix the problem. Consider cognitive behavioural therapy (can be done cheaply online) and bear in mind that studies have shown moderate exercise to be as effective as medication. Taking SSRIs while doing this could be necessary if you can't ma…

Difficult for me to say how it is in the US, but for me in the UK the bars and Tinder have become barren deserts as far as finding anything worth having. The state of ketosis works, but I'd suggest not eating the diet. You can put yourself in a keto state using intermittant fasting and this will lean you out nicely. The issue with the diet is all the fat. It's not great for your heart and has another big issue. Your brain works using the glucose from carbs and by restricting that longer term you are going to crave those things like crazy. Consider intermittant fasting. It will help boost growth hormone and improve weight loss. Also consider adding HIIT to the schedule.

I have women in my life. They just can't invade my space - mental or physical. I don't see how money would change that.

Most men seek validation through how they are perceived by women. If you reject that, then you reject how they see themselves.

For me personally I have no issues with women riding the CC. What upsets me is seeing them want to 'settle down' with a walking cash machine after the good years are gone.

"I think he makes a great point - many modern men REALLY are total dorks and not good husband or boyfriend material." I think this is true and becoming more true. Women don't really desire weak men and yet society is raising weaker men with every generation. I fear for each new product of the female dominated education system.

As someone with no interest in fashion I really like that jacket and tie is the default option. I'm sure a decent tailor would be able to fit a suit in a way to show off a man with a good physique. As for a newscast with a man wearing the shirt and tight jeans you describe, he would instantly lose any credibility for me.

This may sound weird coming from someone following a vegan diet, but I really respect killing your own food. I prefer the idea of a hunter much more than the intensive livestock rearing that happens in developed countries.

Thought I'd add a little to this question. I follow a vegan diet and I'm on this sub as well as MGTOW and vegan. I can confirm that the majority are women. In fact vegetarianism is much more equal in terms of gender, but vegans are almost 80% female. It's also true that there is a recent trend towards eating an animal product free diet of late. There have been a number of documentaries released and perhaps that has something to do with it. A lot of people are also realising that eating a lot of …
