I’m sorry you had to through that 😞 when will feminists realize that their seemingly innocuous bumper stickers are causing us pain.

The vast majority of people don’t deny the legitimate plights of men in our society. the idea that feminists and women in general are misandrist and harbor negative attitudes toward men is simply not true and is a very harmful stereotype. https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/03616843231202708 I think when people criticize the men’s rights movement the people in said movement feel as though it’s a personal attack on them and a rejection of their lived experience and pain but it really isn’t. …

what the heck are you talking about? if your partner refuses to clean or do basic household chores it can be extremely emotionally draining. You should really read this article, especially if you’re currently in a relationship. https://abbymedcalf.com/how-emotional-labor-is-killing-your-relationship-2/

if you were to do the most lazy and basic research you would know that your statement is false. Man, it must be nice just making shit up out of thin air and choosing to believe it.

Can you imagine the sheer amount of disrespect and ridicule a man would get if publicly and openly cried or displayed discomfort in his workplace or jobsite? exactly! I know this is an unpopular phrase in this subreddit but this is one huge facet (for me) of toxic masculinity; the idea that it’s somehow wrong or shameful for men to cry. The fact that society instills this sense of shame for crying in boys (“be a man!“) is disgusting and terrible for ones mental health. but as to the rest of your…

You strike me as someone who’s never earnestly tried to learn what feminists beliefs actually are. like where are you getting your information from? Weirdo subreddits and YouTube videos? Crazy people on Twitter?
/r/MensRights30/12/23 02:26 AM

Projecting much? seriously, you should actually learn what feminism is because i can tell from your post that you’ve never earnestly looked into it. How can you be against something you know nothing about?

again, you’re just reiterating the point that boys are unfairly graded in schools. i completely agree with you! My question is, how does this fact prove the claim that feminists don’t care about boys education? What’s the correlation between what teachers believe and what feminists believe? for arguments sake let’s say that it was a proven fact that teachers in the US had a bias against black children.. would that prove that feminists are racist? No, that’s absolutely ridiculous. It’s spurious l…

Most of the things you say are true, but you’re using extremely spurious reasoning. I’ll just put one of your claims in context to demonstrate what I mean. “feminists don’t care about educating boys because female teachers prefer female students and grade them higher“ okay, so its a fact that female teachers prefer female students and grade them higher, how does this fact prove the point that feminists don’t care about boys education?
/r/MensRights07/12/23 10:33 PM

so your points seem to be that feminists don’t care about homeless men, dont care about educating boys, think woman should receive better healthcare than men, wouldnt prosecute violent females criminals, and are pro circumcision? Man, your idea of what feminists believe sounds really really scary. thankfully for us non of your spicy takes have a basis in reality. so having said that I would much prefer to live in the feminist city

being raised to feel shame for expressing sad emotions is very harmful. We actively raise boys to feel shame for expressing sad emotions. We should stop raising boys to feel shame for expressing sad emotions. Raising boys to feel shame for expressing sadness is “very harmful”, right? I know you agree. Now, how does replacing the phrase “very harmful” with the word “toxic” make it sexist? Toxic literally means very harmful or unpleasant. Your entire critique is just so shallow.

I would rather see them bash men because I’m used to it and I know they are being honest So no matter what women do or say you will always view them as your enemy. Why? This is not a normal or healthy attitude. Would you feel comfortable if the women in your life knew what your views were about them?
/r/MensRights11/11/23 07:26 AM

In our society we socialize boys to normalize and internalize certain beliefs that are extremely detrimental to them. An example (something that is heavily discussed in this forum) is shaming boys for being sad and expressing sadness (man up, boys don’t cry, etc...). These beliefs, as I’m sure many here can personally attest too, can really fuck a kid up and cause deep psychological damage. These BELIEFS are toxic, not the boys. I just don’t understand why you all seem to hate this concept.

There are legitimate issues for kids of single parent households, most of these issues stem from the fact that single parents tend to have much lower annual incomes compared to that of two parent households. Nothing in your post is actually addressing actual problems, it’s just a weird incoherent rant. highlighting some points that are pretty hilarious I If a father abandons their children after a divorce it’s the moms fault, because it’s “frustrating” to have split custody. Single motherhood is…

Biased study from a biased source Literally all research oriented scholarship has bias. To say this meta analysis is “biased” and therefore inaccurate is an EXTREMELY shallow take. Can you express in words why this research is inaccurate? Again, claiming its “biased” is a meaningless statement. You have to actually explain the flaws in their research. You can’t just wish away empirical data. First off this isn’t a singular study, this is a meta analysis comprised of six separate studies. Anyway,…

So woman who (for example) have fears of being assaulted and raped have this fear because they want to manipulate people in order get out of work/not have personal responsibilities? This is so unhinged and fucked up my guy. Do you seriously believe this?

In my opinion, Eddy should not be held financially responsible for a child that wasn’t his decision to bring into the world. But it WAS eddy’s decision. When you have sex with your partner you assume the risk of becoming a parent because pregnancy is the natural byproduct of intercourse. You can’t just wipe your hands clean from a decision that you jointly made.
/r/MensRights05/11/23 11:33 PM

No, I understand and agree with what you said. Women who are afraid of being raped are just experiencing sensationalized fear. Us men are the oppressed ones and it’s about time women start realizing that.

they made the claim that feminists are trying to reduce the age of consent when in reality the EXACT OPPOSITE is true. Me giving an example to prove my point is not “pent up rage” against MRA’s, you’re just trying to ignore and obfuscate.

You’re right! It’s bad when feminists discuss rape statistics because crime also happens to men! Makes complete sense, very sane and logical

“They” (Feminist groups) want to reduce age of consent laws? Ending child marriage and concepts of sexual consent are crucial ideas to feminists. You’re literally just making shit up because feminism = “they”, the bad people you blame all your problems on. If you actually cared about these issues you’d rally against GOP lawmakers (not really feminists) who are pushing bills to make child marriage legal and to reduce the age of consent. You know who’s trying to fight these bills? Feminists groups…

You literally asked “why are men stupid?” and the bot responded with reasonable articles/studies (many of which argue against the idea of men being stupid) Like.. did you actually read what the bot wrote? I don’t see how any of this is biased against men.

Like I said, you WONT answer the question because answering it belies your claim of not being misogynistic. You claim there’s a million sources but you can’t provide one? What university studies should I look up? Which YouTube videos explain your reasoning? What “machine learning model” validates your point? Is there a good Reddit thread I can read to understand your perspective better? Any good blog posts or essays or books? Even if I google an explanation, how do I know that YOU prescribe to s…

So you’re unwilling or unable to explain yourself? Calling my question dumb and saying “it’s on YouTube!” Is a pretty lame answer tbh. If there’s ample evidence for your reasoning you should EASILY be able to answer the question or at least send me some sort of a citation, but we both know you won’t. As to your question, I don’t think having sex with people (outside the context of sex addiction) is a bad thing. I don’t think it’s some sort of blemish on a persons morality if they enjoy having se…

So when it comes to right wing terrorism you believe it’s the men who are on the frontlines doing the physical acts of violence, but it’s actually woman who are behind the scenes planning everything? And your proof is that a woman on Jan 6th was shot and killed? Lol. It’s ALWAYS the woman’s fault with you isn’t it? Dude, there’s so much wrong in this comment. First off, men AND women are resisting this invasion. Over 60,000 women serve in the Ukraine military, 5000 of which are in combat roles. And in what way are women in Ukraine “pretending” to be the “real” victims? Seriously, what does that even mean? Are you implying that the men, women and children fleeing for their lives aren’t being victimized?

Let’s be completely honest here.. the majority of people on this sub are not incels, but a significant portion are. So I can understand the psychology of guilt by association. It’s very unfair but I can understand it.

You can’t find it because in all likelihood that statistic doesn’t exist. There is an extreme lack of data when it comes to sex selective abortion, but the majority of research/polling data that we have (again, very little) actually indicates that females are aborted at larger rates.

Okay so.... the freedom to vote in a democracy isn’t important -you only vote once a year (???) -women technically voted before they were emancipated because they manipulated men You’re clearly insane

I don’t know, I don’t see why people would think you’re being sexist for calling out rape jokes. I think you’ll be okay. most of the time people just don’t realize the implication of the saying “don’t drop the soap” and calling them out can be a good learning experience for them, or not, but either way I don’t think people will think any less of you.

One thing that comes to mind is when people tell men who are going to prison “don’t drop the soap”. You’re essentially saying “be careful or you’re gunna get raped hehehehe”. It’s a disgusting and evil thing to say but people think it’s an acceptable and funny joke.

It doesn’t make any sense to change “toxic masculinity” into a gender neutral word because toxic masculinity is literally about unhealthy behaviors in men. It’s a man specific issue. And wth, you’re choosing to disagree with the concept solely because of its name? So you actually agree with the concept, but because of what that concept is called you say don’t believe in it? 😂 You literally are arguing over semantics. And toxic masculinity isn’t “blaming (the problem) squarely at the feet of men”…

Lol, there’s so much wrongness packed into these two little sentences. It’s actually very impressive. Maybe the sociologists should use the definition that's in the dictionary? The definition(s) of the word “Patriarchy” (a sociological concept) are created by.... sociologists. You’re saying that sociologists should use the definition of a word that they themselves have defined. I understand you’re attempting to be rhetorical and all that jazz but you make zero sense. Society favoring women in child custody isn’t about men having power of rule. It’s quite the opposite. Well, I think I know where you’re coming from. If your understanding of patriarchy is “men having/using power to benefit themselves and to oppress women” then legal principles like the tender years doctrine can’t possibly be patriarchal because it oppresses men and benefits women. It’s the exact opposite of patriarchy as you say. So yes, using YOUR definition you’re 100% correct, but as I previ…

Patriarchy theory says men have power which they use to benefit men and oppress women. Well, not exactly. Not at all actually. Patriarchy can and does negatively effect men. One example (I’m sure you’re familiar with) is child custody. In most counties women are thought of as natural born caregivers. They’re viewed as being implicitly better parents. this can have extremely bad consequences for children. OBVIOUSLY custody battles should be on a parent by parent basis, not a gender by gender basi…
