... in America. And i've been to the US. Don't remember anyone drinking coffee after dinner or being offered one at this moment of the day. I do remember how watered down and weak the coffee was, generally speaking, as opposed to the way it's consumed where I live, short and strong. Coffee culture might have changed since then, though, that was all before Starbucks existed.

Certainly not in my country, no. And not in the many countries i've been to, either. It's a more American thing than you seem to think. I don't remember having noticed that when I visited, but perhaps i just missed it.
