I AM gay. I have a boyfriend... And music taste has nothing to do with that. My top three artists in my music rotation are Radiohead, Weezer, and RHCP. In my entire playlist, there is one Florence and the machine song. I do not hate women, nor will I. I do think that Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, the ENTIRE pop music scene is overrated (which, for clarification, is mainly dominated by men). Just because I don't like pop doesn't mean that I don't like women in pop.

What I'm saying is that the study basically found that people with depression are more likely to be aggressive. Or rather, people with aggressive symptoms are fairly likely to be depressed. People with depression can act out in ways that aren't always sadness. Anger, violence, weightlifting, crime, etc.

These people will say "oh no is the big strong men sad?" And with or without realizing it, male suicide rates have, really, been steadily rising for the past 25 years. Yeah, men do, statistically, the majority of abuse, but you may not have heard about a little thing called aggressive depression. A swedish study found that of people with criminal records, people who exhibited signs of depression were 3 times as likely to commit violent crimes. Homicide, aggravated assault, robbery, etc.

Not sure you can choose to be depressed or have suicide... I'm pretty sure 99% of men have experienced some form of depression, and most don't get it diagnosed because "oh I'm just a little sad". Meanwhile girls are actively encouraged to cry, get a therapist, even if there are few symptoms

Because they are at a time in their life when they have changing bodies and developing hormones... Most teenage boys will face criticism from girls, and the girls that don't are called sluts and boy-pleasers.
