When do you physically touch your friends with the intention of turning them on?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/19 08:34 PM

To be fair that's reducing the problem. When do you compliment, when do you physically touch. How much of either is acceptable. The way you phrased the solution doesn't address the nuances that make said solution difficult in execution.

At the risk of sounding like 'that guy', some people are not comfortable formulating their own path. We're not exactly incentivised to do so throughout our youth. Can you imagine telling your teacher 'I'll decide when I'm ready to do this homework'. The blue pill is a prescription, it's just kind of there laid out for you. The red pill is a trek through brambles, and if you ask for help, or God help you if you expect someone to encourage you, you get shunted back 100ft. It's very much an 'easy' …

I'd be inclined to agree. Let's say TRP really is just simply one big triggered mental state similar to SJWs. The great difference is how the 'victimhood' is handled. That is, by the victims themselves with as little reliance as anyone else. While SJWs pout and demand the world around them change, women demand and expect that men, governments, and everyone and everything except themselves behave differently. That what they do should be rewarded by the rest of the world. TRP observes and assesses…

First, post has 0 points. Second, did you read the comments? The top post is calling out the OP in every way. Edit: Reading the comments I do see about the disbelief of rape angle. That would be the general opinion of the community. That TRP thinks women should appreciate getting raped? The core of TRP is not giving a thought to what or how women think day to day. Understand it, but saying what they should or shouldn't do is a complete waste of time. I would say the comments represent that.

Definitely saved my ass by being aware and reacting quickly in a dangerous situation. The aware and reactive part only being because I was going fast. Only times I've been in accidents were when I would drive by the book. God that was boring.

There's a reason it's recommended to drop social media completely until you're ready, and when you are ready you won't even have want or time to use it. To answer you're question you'd be a beta bitch to act on it, these are just dangerous feelings that lead you to sinking back to being a beta bitch, you did right by you. Yeah your lack of abundance is a factor here, but realistically every man has his weak periods, including lack of abundance. Every God bleeds, it's how emotions are handled tha…

Drink water. Feeling hungry? Drink a cup of water, wait 10 mins. If you're still hungry, go for something to eat, but a good number of times you were really just thirsty. Plus it helps with the whole not-feeling-like-shit angle.

If you believe women are "winning" in the overall scheme of things, why are they in such a dominant position in society. Large scale guilt by the patriarchy? Really doubt it. A long series of events involving beta males dominating due to sheer numbers? I could see it, but it's been the alpha role to lead a comparitively greater number of betas, why did that fail. Could it simply be that beta behaviors are simply the new way to "win" in an increasingly advanced society? I think this is the likeli…

It is very self explanatory and you can derive a lot of other truths from it. Does a woman ever truly love a man? No, she can feel attachment, tingles, butterflies, you name it when she perceives a man that will benefit her children. As soon as the child wouldn't benefit (according to her reptilian brain) from the man then agony sets in. That's why you have a lot of modern women who 'love' their effeminate SO, going so far as to laud their effeminate qualities as the best part of them, but agoni…

That's good to hear. You sound really level-headed and I'll say my comment wasn't very serious. This may be because I come from nothing and have seen what it takes to build something from it, but a mindset where you eventually want to 'settle' with less work will result in you getting eaten alive by more hungry people. Of course, you have investments n shit so YMMV. Currently in college for Engineering and worked as a construction & painting subcontractor. I can say that for a period I'd be 'luc…

I'd have to agree. After a conversation apparently, at least from impressions, it seems that shorter girls feel they need an edge over taller girls, and make more effort overall to go to the gym and improve their body. Funnily enough, to most guys I know, a good body is waaaay hotter than height in a girl, so they end up with the advantage in the looks department.

For someone so intelligent it's surprising you subscribe to the idea of "its always been this way so therefore it always will be", both with your lineage and yourself. All I see you write about is excuses about why you are the way you are. You will never grow if that's 80% of your rationality, as is apparent in your writing. Do you meditate.

I'd like to start of by agreeing with your original conclusion. There are quite a lot of comments by perpetual victims on TRP, and since many RPers don't really give a shit it's ignored. They are thoroughly pathetic, the end goal is to get them to stop being so emotionally invested in all of those examples you've cited. If you're in a major city, same deal as US city. However, the culture still puts more weight on a woman's sexual reputation than in the US. Sleeping with strangers isn't "empowering" there yet, so if you're getting turned down more than usual it's more than likely because they don't want to look slutty for their reputations sake despite their personal feelings.

You may be right. To be fair my statement is a generalization to begin with. However I would argue that someone with borderline personality disorder wouldn't exhibit such predictable and slowly changing mental states. We can probably agree that someone with such a disorder would vary wildly in their perception of someone week to week.

This is just my own personal theory, but in my experience it fits. Shy girls tend to have zero assertiveness in their daily lives. They go throughout their time shamelessly following the rules and appeasing people for the reward of being 'included'. Now comes along this guy they slowly test and build up confidence in their dependency. 'Finally, someone who will appease ME!' they think. Boom. Now they take it further, and further, and further. And then the guy makes it further and further away fr…

Very interesting question. To me, its like saying "if you had the option to be happy with doing nothing but eating and sleeping, would you?" The pragmatic answer would be yes. To feel the same level of reward more easily with a greater guarantee. To take the analogy to the extreme, committing suicide is analogous. You simply choose to not be a part of the "game of life", at least that is how some who commit suicide feel, which is how I felt some time ago. My gut answer is no. That attraction I f…

Nah. In fact I find myself a hell of a lot more riled up when a girl begins to pull. Having someone not interested and not into the moment was a surprising turn off for me. I say surprising because I used to buy into the idea that all men are 'animals' in that sense and that I'd have to contend with some instinct to rape. If you truly have sympathy for her you will end it. Put yourself in her shoes. Would you want your partner to take a life vow to you while hiding their very real and crippling doubts? Would your sympathy extend to them in that moment and hope that they let you know the truth so that both people can move on and be happier in the long run? At this point it would be cruel and selfish of you to go through with this. Since you clearly feel some sort of sympathy, you need to see this side of things. B…

You're absolutely right. It's certainly a rule of thumb and subject to pure anecdotal evidence. For example, I could give an example where a handful of times now men who are in a relationship with a woman clearly above their SMV have issues sleeping with said women. 3 times now I've known dudes that unexplainably ended up with a chick clearly above their league, who weren't exactly conservative, and yet they were perma-blue balled. You're statement reminds me of the engineering industry. Get information, test shit, see if it works. If it works, utilize it, if it doesn't, don't. However, for some, when it works, 'come up with a name for it!' Oh we wished the other method would have worked because its prettier or the guy in house is butt hurt you're not using his 'solution'. Projects never get done. Just shut the fuck up, use it or lose it. Focus on the results and not the semantics.

I think what he means by "women act like women" is that they ultimately desire a man with the masculine qualities described despite statements by women on the contrary. So when she fucks you over when you were being a soft emotional tampon that's a woman being a woman. As you should dump a woman when she's nothing more than your own emotional validation. That should come from within.

Goddamn congratulations dude. If I might input, losing that much weight is taxing both short term and long term. I'd highly recommend just focusing on bulking up and see if your eyes still look the same after. Maybe putting on more pounds and providing your body with extra energy rather than the opposite could help your face look more healthy. I remember I thought I would always look gaunt until 40 lbs in I look much more facially aesthetic.

As another RPer I say he doesn't represent all of TRP. The bigger contributors in a sizeable portion regard AWALT as a rule of thumb rather than a psychological conclusion. That is, to succeed in this 'game' it's safe to assume AWALT until thoroughly proven otherwise. Some salty bitches take their lack of success with women and instead of analyzing themselves decide it must be because women truly are all 'like that'. I agree with that. In my opinion if you're having to constantly sacrifice long term then you are clearly doing something wrong. If you are the owner and manager of a restaurant and you are still keeping it open out of your own pocket 3 years in something is horribly wrong. The whole point of a 'team' is everyone benefits, and as a leader it's your job to ensure that.

To follow this, in my experience this is a crucial first step to leadership. Communication and good conversational impressions establish a rapport that will follow the relationship. Though action will always be the backbone of your establishment as a leader. It sounds obvious, but people tend to forget that. You hear of stories of the greatest leaders who people would follow to their death (outside of brainwashing cases of course) and they usually have some thing in common. Their leader was in t…

If you're looking for a Hollywood bromance type thing, beyond childhood friends that's next to impossible. And don't think about 'leading' a group of guys. Ah I hear you. I believe the perception stems from the fact that most highly educated people tend to be on the unattractive side. Usually it's theorized to be that since less time is spent socializing, more time is likely to be spent in academic pursuits. I do believe part of the social skillset is recognizing when someone is insecure and adapting to this. Someone who is secure will actually enjoy banter, while someone who is insecure will feel shut down and resentful. I'm not saying keep things PC, if someone is insecure and me having a good time, making an offhand comment, pissed them off I'm not going to give a fuck. But if the object is manipulation you are missing out of a huge chunk of the population.

Sure would be nice to wake up with 3 commas in the bank statement. Sure would be nice to never worry about aging or dying. It's funny how Hollywood makes the first one seem realistic but the other two complete impossibilities.

For every gorgeous girl you see, some guy somewhere is tired of her shit.

Good place to start is to give overall advice. Let the other person do the talking. Rule of thumb, for every one thing you tell about yourself, you learn three things about them. Poke into their interests and try to develop some genuine interest in these things. If you don't, well, learn to act like it if you're just looking to get laid. Now, this should guide you to the solutions, but it can't hurt to notice what you may be doing wrong. You say she's 'rambling' and that you lose track. Well, ba…

Once you find yourself enjoying small talk with just about anybody it's a pretty good feeling. Of course, the key is to steer the conversation yourself. Find things about them that interest you and have them expand on it, everyone loves talking about themselves, their experiences etc. Learn from them in the moment, every story can be a lesson. Even something mundane af can make you think 'shit, I better not be as mundane as this shit'.

Your last paragraph couldn't be more spot on. As a 25 lb shrimp I thought that begrudging attitude was just normal for everyone. Put on 40 lbs and suddenly I see the complete opposite reaction and much more fruitful conversations, even from other guys strangely enough. Could also be my confidence, but that initial reaction is certainly a tell all. I cringe thinking about all of the times chicks just kind of put up with me and I was oblivious.

First, hear me out. If you're really, truly, dark triads then you wouldn't care nearly as much would you? This isn't to call you out on anything, but you seem to be losing frame here, just a third person perspective. Maybe you're not truly based in the dark triad, and that's fine, every man is his own. Truly, I understand. It's deeply impacting when you develop deep respect for someone and come to discover they are something completely different. Again, you are your own man in the end, you are t…

Do you feel exhausted at the thought of going out or being social or more fearful? If the latter, I'd urge you to consider the possibility that it is simply the occurrence of past failures, and an issue of dwelling on these failures. Do you have a constant means of improving yourself, in any way, outside of social skills? An art, or a hobby perhaps.

It seems you are allowing the actions and mindsets of others, which don't infringe upon your personal space, have a significant impact on you. Believe me, it is much better to let these things go. Encountering these people is a chance to reflect on yourself and learn from them. That is, where letting your narcissism reach delusional heights can lead you.

Words like these. The message, the prose, the words themselves. Nothing short of excellent.

I'd argue any skill is a good skill. Beyond personal preferences, things that produce something are definitely top of the list. All of those you mentioned are all fairly good choices. Not necessarily because they make you useful, but because you can also sell this skill potentially in the future, or simply have something you have a personal connection with and are proud of (as with woodworking, art, etc.) These skills are the gift that keep on giving. This is all ignoring social skills, which ar…

Well, what do you mean by "drop everything"? You never 'let go' of your career or your own personal efforts in improvement. It appears you just mean drop your social life. That could help. The more toxic your social life the more effective this will be. As another poster mentioned, should your friends 'move on' as in not care about you or want you around, that's only a good thing. "You are a combination of the 5 people closest to you." Of course it's not that simple, but It's good to get an idea…

Thanks for the thorough advice. It's apparent how much it depends on the situation, and the necessary emphasis on how it may be perceived rather than how one feels in the moment.

Would you say that included in this is shutting down people attempting to interrupt you? I. E. maintain your volume and cadence even if someone else starts speaking (so long as you were still talking of course)

I think the why of drinking is infinitely more important than the when or how. For example, I'll make an evening by cracking open a good book with a good bottle of whiskey and just enjoy the flavors and the buzz while getting lost in the story or philosophy or what have you. Purely recreational of course and in moderation. Though, it is true that there exists a slippery slope; however slippery slopes can keep you from doing anything.

I can certainly say I feel the same way. Don't get me wrong, I've 'gone my own way' for a time. A sort of monk mode to get my bearings, which is certainly something the core TRP crowd recommends anyway. But at the end of the day there are sexual needs and urges and I'm not going to deny them completely out of spite. I think it's a problem when you make your MGTOW status your identity and a defining characteristic. I believe true MGTOW (which I also believe are exceedingly rare, think backwoods s…

You mentioned that you served as a catalyst to her divorce. Basically, she may come to tie you to the whole act, and potentially see it as leverage. At the very least, you owe her sticking around because she divorced for you, in her mind.

From what little I know, the Golden rule here is that you make absolute certain you're not experiencing one-itis. Meditate on this. Take some time to observe your thoughts. If you don't naturally think of anything negative about her, something you have qualms with, you're in the danger zone. Your goal here, I'm assuming, is to be your own man while taking care of another person's child while her old fuck buddy hangs around for the rest of your life. Maybe taking a step back and asking yourself a…

Take my word for it. Unless you are prepared to get blacklisted with said persons entire female friend group (which they will have a sizeable one if they a real truly BP) then do not go forward. The same type of guy you're trying to save is likely to be the same type of guy who will talk shit about another dude cuz he's 'such a douche right lol' in hopes that it'll get him laid in the comparison, and you'll be the perfect 'misogynist' to target. Not worth it, every man has to find it himself, it…

I don't see how what you're saying is any different. It's a tool, which is useful for the triadic personality as with any personality. You're basically restating that.

I wholeheartedly agree. I'll add that while this doesn't cover much at all, it covers the absolute core cause of BP. That is, this dynamic is at the origin of almost all BP behavior and mentality in my opinion. This realization involving 'love' set the gears in motion/was my stepping off point into TRP. Though nearly everything in the sidebar does explore this concept- a solid, direct expose on this deceptively simple concept would serve BP better than anything else I can think of.
