It's what I call a "pedestal" mentality, like, people in general often put the women in a pedestal so high that they make them(women) seem unreachable, and if a woman ever looks on your direction, smiles at you, or goes and talks with you, it is the highest honor you could ever receive. That's why a lot of women can't take any rejection, they have been taught that nothing is more valuable for a man than a woman's attention.
