What do you think is an exact percentage of women who're into meaningless hook ups? I have 2 friends into hook ups out of 20. Even when we were in our early 20s and used to go out frequently, someone hooking up rarely happened. Percentage of women settling for "betabuxxers" without liking them that much? None of my friends has mentioned that they consider they are settling for their partners. Some of the partners are guys I wouldn't date but they always talk very positively about them, afaik non…

My bf is 5´4 and he has had a lot of girlfriends and hookups, some of them with girls taller than him. When all I am trying to say is women are superficial People are superficial. Some of them are men, some of them are women.

Normal people balance out looks and personality. Maybe the guy/girl isn't a 8+ but they are compatible and they like them enough to sleep with them .

Im a bit of an antinatalist because I think theres too much of us already and I see the future pretty grime. Im childfree for multiple reasons but the biggest one is that im very selfish with my time and I dont want to sacrifice it for someone else. I also have very little patience and have zero maternal instinct. I would be a terrible mother. I support adoption because theres a lot of kids needing a home and a lot of couples who cant get pregnant. Also, although I am pro choice I think abortion…

One of my friends has a recurrent issue with her bf of a year because he follows girls on instagram. They are 36 and 41, I already told her multiple time to just break up with him if its going to be such an issue for her. Shes hurt because he is always tired from work and rarely wants to have sex. I told her they are incompatible and to just let it go but she won't. I try to be the friend that supports her friends during their relationships but this one is getting on my nerves.

A relationship should bring extra happiness to your life, not be your only source of happiness. Someone thinking they need a partner to be happy is a major red flag for me. I dont want anyone depending on me to be ok with their life.

Bf likes anime ugh On a more serious note, I guess it would be smoking and drinking. I dont smoke and im not a big fan of alcohol (My parents never had alcohol at home, no one in my extended family drinks much). My bfs dad is an alcoholic and it is very normalized for him to have one or two beers everyday after work. I feel like thats too much but I can tolerate it as long as he isnt getting drunk.

The amount of men who enjoy putting things in womens anuses is too high for your theory to work.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/21 02:13 PM

My bff has pink hair, is covered in tattoos and is into witchcraft. She's actually a Suicide girls model. She was raised to be the perfect housewife, she knows and enjoys cooking, sewing, keeping her house neat, ironing her bf´s clothes and cant wait to become a mother. She's also the most sensitive person I know and is full of love for everyone. Ive learned a lot about judging people by their looks since I met her.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 12:42 AM

I cant imagine having sex with someone on a first date. No matter how much I like them I would still feel weird of being intimate with someone I barely know. I did had sex with someone on a second date and I regret it because the guy turned out to be kinda crazy and the sex was bad, I think it would have been better if I hadn't slept with him at all.

Ugh I made a long reply and it got deleted -_- but basically, if my male friends want to sleep with me that's their problem not mine. I have zero romantic/sexual interest in them. If I did I would be dating them and not my bf. Like I said, cheaters cheat. Well the stakes are completely different if you are married and/or have kids. You said people in monogamous relationships OR marriages. Why is that? Personally i dont have any female friends. I dont see the purpose. Its not like any woman really has your back the way men do. Its not like most women would jump in a fight alongside me, its not like they would take big risks for me. Exactly because of this. You have very sketchy views of women and I rather avoid men that think like you. Both me and…

It was a man the one who coined the term toxic masculinity. Seriously dude, read a little about the subject before trying to argue about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/21 06:42 PM

Thats not what toxic masculinity refers to. Toxic masculinity is men not being allowed to cry, being called gay for showing emotions, being told to "man up", etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/21 06:05 PM

If an ugly man approaches her, that's toxic masculinity. If a hot man rejects her, that's toxic masculinity. If a man doesn't pay for the date and opts to split the bill, that's toxic masculinity. If a man doesn't step up and raise the kids of a single mother, that's toxic masculinity.

Self improvement is for one self, not for others. The problem I see is that many men do those things to get women and when they fail they get frustrated. Being happy with themselves and having a fulfilling life is the point. It is not a guarantee it will get you women but it does increasea your chances than the ones an obese video game addict has.

I guess its the same with men not acknowledging womens issues until feminism brought them up and some still make fun of it. I have a past of mental illness (severe depression, anxiety, eating disorders and c-ptsd). None of them are an issue now but I could see some people having a problem with it. I honestly have no idea. I mean, We've been friends for 15 years and we meet for dinner and play video games like once a month. This is the first time he talks about women other than his exgirlfriends and he has been single for 4 years. His only hobby are video games and he rarely goes out. My other friends and I have been trying to solve the mystery but no one can come up with an answer.

I used to frequent the childfree sub back in 2013 because it was the first time I found people who have also been judged and pressured to have kids when they didnt want them. I felt validated and like I wasn't a freak but then the name calling and the exaggerated stories bored me and I havent been there in ages. Many childfree people are happy. I believe age gap relationships are a case by case thing, it depends on the age and motives of each partner. An 18 and a 23 year old? Dont see the problem. A 20 year old with someone over 30? yeah, I would like to know about the intentions of the older partner. Ive talked about my former FWB, who I thought was 24 when I met him in 2015 (I was 32) and I just learned his real age last year - He was actually 20! and not only did he looked and behaved like someone much older (when I met him I though…

I didnt even drink that much lol we were really just dancing and having fun. After that I focused more in college and my career but used to hang out with my friends/boyfriend, we would cook and have dinner at home, go to the beach, go to amusement parks, stuff like that.

100% agree We keep changing and growing up through our 20s and we are way more stable in our 30s. Also, I believe we all should have a fun selfish phase in our life- and I dont mean to sleep around but to be able to take decisions and do what we want when we want to.

You’re throwing out buzzwords like healthy (when you’re not referring to actual physical health) and codependent but it doesn’t seem as though you’ve really thought about the meaning behind them. A lot of these buzzwords are just a way to vilify behaviors that certain people (such as you) don’t like but other people (such as me) don’t necessarily have a problem with. Im a therapist.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/21 01:46 PM

Its pretty obvious when someone is acting out of desperation once you have experienced healthy relationships and know someone being desperate to be in one. Desperation implies the person is not emotionally that well. Someone with emotional stability and a life of their own would not be desperate to be with someone. By being desperate to be with someone they could become codependent and that would make a relationship unhealthy.

The thing Ive seen most men complain about when talking marriage is divorce rape. Of course no one marries with divorce in their minds but I believe each partner should protect themselves before getting married. In Mexico, when you marry you have the option to marry with joint or separate assets, that way the couple can decide beforehand if they want to share everything or not and avoid getting "divorce raped". AFAIK men aren't obligated to pay alimony and child support is ridiculously low - A g…

How much hyperbole and exaggeration are used on subs like this one worries me. Those of us who are older and have real life experience know life isn't like that but those who are young and with no experience can believe what they say its true. I think that's what causes a lot of the radicalization that we see in these types of forums.

I went to a drive in movie date this weekend and it was amazing! Movie was great, snacks were great and we could talk a little instead of being in complete silence like in a movie theater. 10/10 Experience, would do that again.

Not all women are bitches to their friends you know? I love it when I see my friends being happy with themselves, who am I to judge their bodies? I have 2 friends who are overweight and single. Its part of their revenge fantasy to hope that once we are old and alone we suffer as much as they did while they thrive in their 30s-40s dating younger women. /r/PurplePillDebate30/06/21 04:56 AM

You believe every man that commits suicide is because a woman hurt him? wow
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/21 04:25 AM

Did I complain about suicide rates? Not you personally but it is often brought up on this sub Also pro tip: if you want to look like you care about negative consecuences for men of toxic gender roles then call them that. I didnt name it but its the same thing (it was actually male authors who called it toxic masculinity). I understand your point tho, I feel the same way regarding feminism (I believe it should be named something more regarding egalitarianism)
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/21 04:21 AM

Then dont get rid of it but stop complaining about suicide rates in men because they can't talk about their feelings 🤷‍♀️ Toxic masculinity affects mostly men. If you guys are happy having to keep their "stoic" persona, go ahead.

I dont want a feminine man. I dont want a "scaredy cat" like I was told in another thread. I dont want a guy who cries every day.I dont want a guy who acts like a woman. Mexico, 37F. Society is very red pilled. I lean red and for Mexican standards Im a radfem. Women and society are the primary ones who ridicule and punish men for this shit. Wouldn't you want for this to change? Women can have toxic concepts regarding masculinity, you know? Toxic masculinity isn't an attack to all masculinity, just to those traits.

I wouldn't with a scaredy cat but I would with a man who can identify his emotions and lets me know when he is mad/sad/happy/scared/whatever. For a long time I thought men didnt have emotions like women do. Men in mexico are even less expressive than in other cultures, unless its anger, so I just assumed they didnt feel much. Men have every right to feel whatever they feel and express it without fear of being ridiculed or mocked by other men and women.

it is because society doesn’t care about men who are suffering. So it is better to hold it in then lose status (includes friends, family, wives, etc) or be mocked for being a victim ...Thats exactly what toxic masculinity refers to. It doesn't mean men are toxic and women are not. It means that certains aspects of masculinity are toxic, like ridiculing a man for not wanting to do something he is scared of, not letting a man express his feelings and to "man up" or the pressure to be the alpha. it is not possible to be the same human being after engaging in intercourse with someone. It changes you on a spiritual level. Do you think it applies to both genders? It alternately grieves me and baffles me that women on here deny this Some of us really dont think that a dick is that transcendental in our life. I mean, Im not a fan of casual sex, but even if its with someone Im truly in love with I dont view sex as an spiritual experience. I view it more as an animal/carnal thing.

Again, theres a whole spectrum from Chad to someone im disgusted with. Ive noticed the opposite. In high school and college the guy only has to be hot and funny for a girl to like him. As we grow up we start to take other things into account: Job stability, intelligence, goals, whatever and physical appearance becomes less of a priority. a good portion of girls were into it's opposite, and different kinds of guys; the skinny artsy boys, even gamers and nerds Still true. Not every woman likes the same. My BFF and I have completely opposite taste in men.

You are supposedly only allowed to take it off while eating in restaurants but most people take it off the moment they sit and put it back on when they leave. You dont have to wear it at the beach but you are supposed to only have contact with the group you are in. Thing is, a tourist who is staying all day at a beach restaurant isn't wearing the mask at all. If they have the virus they infect workers who then go to their families. All public hos…

I dont want to be too specific but its a small city in Mexico. 1.5 hrs from a tourist hot spot, guess where the entitled tourists who refuse to wear facemasks are from.

The Delta variant that is more contagious and is causing even vaccinated people getting sick, that is correct. 3 kids died from it in my city yesterday. Hospitals are at full capacity mostly with young people intubated. Please consider your privileges before calling people sheep.

They wanted Dr Dre, not some guy bumping Still Dre like he doesn't live in a suburban white home that's never even seen black people in real life Omg this brought memories. My HS boyfriend was the whitest and skinniest guy in school. I used to lie to my mom to get on his car (93´green Dodge Shadow) while we blasted Still DRE. Good times.

Tom Hardy or a bit older Zac Efron (like 5 years older) His personality is similar to mine: Sometimes wants to go out, sometimes wants to stay home. Sometimes feels likes chatting sometimes we are both quiet reading. Works out and has hobbies on his own but we also do stuff together. Weed and alcohol are ok in moderation, maybe shrooms or acid if we are in a festival together. Most of my friends are single and over 30. Just 1 of my friends is into casual sex and she hooks up maybe like once a month? The rest of us just got toys. I live in a small city in Mexico where most people in our age bracket know each other. Even the women who are known for being into casual sex arent that much active like some of the experiences other commenters described.

Yeah that's what people who have never been in an abusive relationship dont get, it doesn't go to 0 to 100 suddenly. You know what's the worst part? I read what I posted and I thought "I should delete this im exaggerating it wasn't THAT bad".

/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/21 04:48 PM

At the beginning there was a lot of love bombing. I was 21 and he was 20, I thought that being obsessed with your partner was love. There was also a lot of gaslighting, specially regarding other girls. He would constantly text other girls but never really cheated or said something over the line, he was looking for validation on them. So when I got mad he could say that it was them texting him, that he did nothing wrong. Emotional violence would include him ignoring me and giving me the silent tr…

I didnt reply to your original question bc I was in an abusive relationship from both sides but im also a psychologist. Abuse usually doesnt start at the begining of the relationship. In my case it started years later. The first few years were a bliss, he was the perfect man for me. This is typical behavior of abusers, they dont start behaving that way until they are sure you are hooked and wont leave. You become codependent and think you are going crazy. How come someone that loves you like he …

I´ve been thinking about this since its the only solution I can think of. Women dont have a need to change this. We can be fat and unattractive and theres going to be at least one man who would date us and even if there wasn't, we dont need sex/relationships that bad. For those who want kids theres the option of a one night stand or IVF. So either men come together and do something or every guy who complains about sexlessness/singleness shuts up. I also wish women who complain about Where are al…

The promiscuous women I know have a lot of abandonment and codependency issues which they try to canalize by using sex for self validation. One of them told me a while ago "people told me being promiscuous was supposed to be fun" and we talked about her using sex to fill the void. I guess its like using drugs or alcohol to suppress your feelings.

Yeah its pretty bad. Most women here are raised to take care of their husbands and deal with the cheating (Ive heard many women say "sure he sleeps with other women but im THE WIFE" plenty of times) so I dont think theres going to be a change of culture at least in my lifetime. About half of the men Ive dated are foreigners (American, Canadian, German and British) and theres a huge difference between them and Mexican men regarding how they see relationships.

I do not believe that AWALT is valid for everything. Sure for some things, but not for every aspect of being a woman. I do not agree with the angry men that has taken over the RP label. Im from Mexico and men here express their emotions even less than in other cultures. Also, most men are cheaters and dont care about their kids so I grew up thinking men basically had no feelings like women do. Before coming to PPD, I never thought it was that important for men to feel desired nor that their self worth was so attached to it. It has been an eye opener to learn and understand this.

You make a lot of assumptions buddy. Why does it bother you so much that there are women over 30 who dont need to settle? There are only two possibilities for why you “refuse to settle” either 1. You feel that no one is good enough for you in which case you’re a terrible partner and a rampant narcissist and that’s the real reason you’re alone or 2. The people who you feel ARE good enough for you aren’t interested. This is the actual truth because the men you want can date you but 10 years younge…

Right? We typically hear that women are the LL partners, who dont put effort into the couples sex life but anyone who has had a LTR knows that's not always the case. I have a friend who is gorgeous and her boyfriend is tall but obese and ugly. Their main issue is that he rather watch pictures and videos of girls on twitter and instagram than having sex. I live in Mexico and I believe is a Maddona-whore issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/06/21 02:29 PM

I get that men who aren't chads dont get it and believe that if they got constant sex they wouldn't need to cheat or watch porn but LTR aren't easy and sex is one of the most common issues between couples. Not saying that its just a porn issue, I get that there are many women who are the problem in a dead bedroom, but at least in my case and many other women I know, its been the men who are the LL partners and won't stop watching porn.

Im a childfree millennial and I have a hard time trying to understand why people feel the need to pass down their genes. Ive never felt any maternal instinct and tbh I think that bringing a kid is the most selfish thing someone can do. Both. Personality can be influenced by genetics but its mostly the environment in which the child grows up. Introversion/extraversion is part of the personality. A child who grows up with extrovert parents will probably be an extrovert because he was exposed to socializing his whole life. Sure, it can happens that the kid is different than the parents but its usually not the case.

Thats why me and most of my friends are still either single or already divorced. Marriage isn't worthy for women here. We have to work and also do all the house work and child care by ourselves, I dont know any guy who doesn't cheat (not saying women dont cheat but men cheating is extremely normalized) so theres no point.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/21 08:27 PM

Men tend to play women a lot here in Mexico. No matter the age, "the talk" is always awkward, its usually brought up by women because we start going out with someone but we dont know if its dating or what. You can't ask a guy too son because he might get scared and think you want get married next week or maybe he is also dating other women and you are just another one.

At 12 years I really hope someone has given them "the talk" and they have clear what consent means, for their own safety. There are posts all over this subreddit in which women express shock and disbelief that men in their 20s don't have a basic understanding of sexual attraction or male or female nature, Theres an almos 10 year different from a 12 year old to a guy in his 20s.

I know, I feel bad bc I love my cousin but theres nothing I can do for him. A few years ago I tried to include him when I was out with my friends but he never wanted to go out with us. The time I saw him a few weeks ago I was on my way to the beach and a friend invited the guy she is dating and he brought my cousin (they had recently became friends). Im very worried because that guy does a lot of drugs (lsd, shrooms and weed).

idk I saw him a couple weeks ago but I hadn't see him since before the pandemic. He kept repeating the story to everyone about how she left him and that the last time he saw her he asked to see the dog he gave her when they got together and took him home. AFAIK, she tried to get the dog back at first but then just let him have it instead of keep having contact with him.

They broke up 3 years ago and he stills talks about how much it hurts him but sure. Last time he saw her he stole her dog.

You have a great point there. My cousin was 32 dating an 18 year old. My cousin is autistic . The 18 year old out grew him and dumped him 2 years later.

You agree that men have no self control, are more violent and are a danger for women? The only way a woman can be protected from a man is by another man because men are not capable of not being behaving like animals?

/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/21 08:44 PM

Oh please, being « lovable » has nothing to do with it. I dont think a 36 year old MAN could be in love with an 18 year old GIRL. Stop playing dumb you know what I meant

Honestly I dont. What could they have in common to "fall in love"?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/21 04:55 PM

That is the exact reason why we think its predatory. At that age you are still dumb and ignore the red flags, believe what he says and think its going to be different with you.

No because they are equally stupid. Theres a huge difference between an experienced man and a stupid boy.

They have lots in common lol Do you think power and wealth is the only thing that matters in a relationship? My dad got one of those. He was 50 she was 19. He was rich, she was poor and wanted money. They are still together but their relationship is damn awful. He is 70 and is afraid to be alone because of his age, she is 39 and has had multiple affairs. I hate her guts because how she treats my dad but its his choice to stay there so I cant do anything about it. I bet it was fun for my dad at f…

the only thing driving your desire to mature is lack of dick options on the weekend... We dont crave dick like men crave pussy. Ive never met a woman who looks for dick every weekend, let alone thinking about settling for the lack of options.

Same for me but we broke up when I was 30. Took my time to heal. Ive never had interest in sleeping with tons of different men, not even as a single mid 30s woman. I didn't plan to stay single at this age but things happened. If I was desperate I can think of at least 4 guys who would date me right now if I wanted but I dont like them and it wouldn't be fair for them or for me. I rather stay single.

I wouldn't feel good with myself by taking advantage of someone else. I dont care if he wants to, I wouldn't be comfortable getting something from someone I dont love/like.

Thank you for your response. do you think romance books can replace those feelings and delay your desire for a relationship I don't read romance books so that is not my case but I guess that's the reason why those books are popular with women. Ive been told that im "colder" than other women because Im not too fond on romance but I do have other turn ons. I appreciate flowers/massages/whatever but they dont turn me on. Cooking for a guy and seeing him eat on the other hand makes me go crazy.

Honest question: Is masturbating not enough to keep your desperation under control? Ive been single for a while and I value having a low n count so I just use a satisfyer and that's good enough for me. Is it different for men?

It has changed the way I see some of men issues and also to recognize certain behaviors in me. I think that analyzing issues from different points of view is very enriching and I really hope others are also open to leave their echo chambers and be a bit more open minded regarding gender struggles.

One of my BFFs finally left her husband after their oldest kid (was probably 8 or 9 then) got in the middle of them so her ex couldn't hit her. She was raised to be a submissive wife and although it was a traumatic situation for the kid at least she got the strength to leave him right there.

After a very VERY toxic relationship that lasted all my 20s, I decided to take my time to heal and work on myself until I was ready to date again. A lot of people told me I should just keep dating anyone and that it would help me heal faster but I didn't think it was fair for the guy. I think its a extremely selfish thing to do and people should do more self reflection before entering any relationship.

Men here are very misogynistic. I haven't met a guy who isn't a cheater. Basically you either condone cheating or stay alone. And it isn't even about women not putting out. Im lucky to live in one of the safest cities with better than average quality of life but the misoginy in the whole country is terrible. I dislike the generalizations TRP makes about women (AWALT etc) and I used to get into heated discussions about it until I realized that most posters are from the US and your experiences are very different than ours. For example, here in Mexico feminists are fighting for women to not be raped and killed. Me and all my friends have been raped or victims of assault, im not even exaggerating.
