Being “single” as a woman is totally different to being single as a man - a “single” woman still dates, hooks up, has friends with benefits/situationships, etc. A single man is alone.

The girls I went to school with were not the “entire gender” and it happened when we were kids; as I said, my formative experiences gave me a very negative self-perception - had I seen myself differently at a younger age, then my life would have turned out differently, which is sort of the point of this post, I think, that is to say looks are part of the package but not the be all and end all, and confidence and personality play and equally big part; the absence of the latter two is the result o…

The injustice of it all As a kid, my female peers collectively decided I was ugly/disgusting and I got assigned to the looser pool; girls could never show an interest in me/date me, because it was considered socially unacceptable, so my formative years were defined by loneliness and isolation, which warped my sense of self-perception/self-worth and had lifelong repercussions. Others didn’t get that treatment and got to experience the usual formative milestones and grow into healthy, well adjuste…

If you’re a beta guy who doesn’t want to be beta bux then the only solution is to not date and give up on women - you don’t choose whether to be alpha or beta; it’s a status assigned to you, and if you’re in the latter category, then women will only ever view you as a financial resource to be exploited and discarded. So your choice is either to get used or don’t put yourself in the the position where you’ll be used.

She’s apparently still single at 46, so go figure
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/25 06:26 AM

Women generally don’t age well - a 46 year old is going to have a fat ass, flabby gunt, saggy tits, etc. She may “feel that she still has it” and may well “do all sorts of crazy, freaky things in bed” but she’s still middle-aged, and even men her own age aren’t going to want to fuck her Also, if she’s pushing 50 and she’s still single, there’s going to be a reason for it, and not a good one.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/25 05:33 AM

Then what, what? I don’t understand the question.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/25 05:29 AM

Are those random men on Reddit the spokespeople for all 4bn men on the planet?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/25 05:43 PM

That’s another straw man; nobody has ever seriously claimed women have a responsibility to “fix this problem” - it’s a micro issue; there’s no Men’s Union and Women’s Union who can sit down and collectively agree what the common dating protocol should be
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/25 05:23 PM

How do you help younger guys get dates - are you a matchmaker or something?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/25 05:15 PM

“No one is owed a relationship or sex” - FFS, who do people keep trotting that line out? Nobody has ever seriously claimed that anyone is entitled to those things - expressing frustration at not having them is not the same thing
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/25 05:14 PM
2

It’s exactly that, shit - you can check the OP’s post history; it speaks for itself
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/25 02:43 PM
2

Given that the OP hasn’t bothered to provide a source to back up that claim, I think we can guess where they plucked it from
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/25 02:42 PM
-1

Why should we “help everyone to find a good person to be with” and how would that even work in practice?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/25 01:54 PM
8

Is there are any research that backs up that claim that “men are most attracted to 18yrs old’s (sic)” or did you just make it up to flesh out your lazy rage bait post?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/25 01:53 PM
5

Except that would be being dishonest, because while everyone is technically equal, in practice, certain groups get special and preferential treatment - if you have a class taught by an aging millennial girlboss, you can bet she’s treating the girls very differently to the boys
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/25 09:41 AM
5

I assume you mean “manosphere” influencers? What should they be telling boys and young men - that they deserve less? That they should be subservient to women?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/25 09:21 AM
2

Which men would these be?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/25 08:58 AM
5

How do we explain historical misogyny? Religion. But we live in secular society (or at least I do) so that’s not really relevant anymore; the fact is that boys aren’t born evil and turn into evil misogynists because it’s within their nature to do so - rather are shaped by their environment and formative experiences, and the inconvenient truth is that how women treat them plays a significant role in that
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/25 08:42 AM
3

Misandry creates misogynists - young boys views of women are shaped by the way they are treated in their formative years, be it by female relatives, female authority figures (such as teachers) and their female peers. What you casually dismiss as “hurt feelings” can have long term repercussions; if you are repeatedly humiliated, mocked and ridiculed by the opposite gender during childhood and adolescence, you’re not going to grow up with a particularly positive attitude towards them. If we take a…

The writers weren’t actually aware of Red Pill/incel culture when the idea was conceived; Stephen Graham wanted to make a drama about a boy killing a girl, and his starting point was that there’d be no mitigating circumstances (e.g. not being the victim of abuse) - the incel/manosphere angle was suggested during the production stage. A major part of the plot is that the adult characters aren’t aware of any of this stuff (e.g. the SIO’s son having to explain the emoji’s under the killer’s instagr…

This is a very Blue Pill interpretation, and I think you’re projecting a lot of stuff that was left open to interpretation in the show - my take was that he was an unpopular/ostracised kid with an emotionally distant/uninvolved father who, after a misguided attempt at asking a girl out backfired and resulted in a deluge of online ridicule/humiliation, he ended up doing something regrettable. I’ve seen it, and I think you’re filling in a lot of gaps there - the motive isn’t made clear until episode three when he reveals to the psychologist that he asked the victim out, was rejected, and she then went on to mock him on Instagram for being a ugly incel. I think that aspect was surprisingly underdeveloped, but I guess that what happens when you want to do every episode in a single take.

What happened in 2008 is that the global financial system upon which was built the foundations of the post Cold War world order was revealed to be a giant Ponzi scheme, and the elite group of technocrats who were entrusted to run said financial system, which we were led to believe was far too complex for mere mortals to understand and thus must be free of democratic oversight, were exposed as charlatans and criminals. Their reward was the bailed out to the tune of billions of public money before…

Not having sex is a source of negative feelings because for men because from a young age we’re bombarded with the message that virginity is a humiliating badge of shame and not being able to get a GF/have sex is an irredeemable character flaw that makes you worthy only of ridicule and contempt. When I was growing up in the early 00s, the hapless male virgin who endured endless humiliations was a stick character of comedies from the era - the message was clear; if the girls weren’t into you it’s …
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/25 09:13 AM

The old “sticks and stones” argument - calling someone an incel is a means of reinforcing the idea that they are unworthy of/incapable of getting sex, and as I said previously, that’s a line of attack that women - particularly young women - deploy with relish. Men are taught from a young age that our value is derived from our ability to intersect with the opposite gender - sex is a reward and denial of it is a punishment because society judges men who are sexually unsuccessful extremely harshly.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/25 09:08 AM

I think this is a tad simplistic; what drives a lot of the bitterness and disillusionment is the rank hypocrisy and double standards we see the majority of women exhibit. In our formative years, we learned very quickly which boys the girls deemed desirable, and it wasn’t the guys who treated them with kindness; quite the opposite - if you had the misfortune of being shy/quiet/reserved you were doomed to spend your formative years being relentlessly ridiculed and treated like shit by your female …

No shit! I thought it was a documentary! A work of fiction it may be, but it has nonetheless sparked a “national conversation” in the UK about “toxic masculinity” - what isn’t talked about is the “toxic femininity” that drives, encourages and reinforces much of the negative behaviour exhibited by boys and young men; for every Andrew Tate wannabe, there is a female influencer parroting rehashed r/FemaleDatingStrategy talking points and given the opposite gender a warped perception of their counte…

Something that was conveniently omitted from the discourse/moral panic sparked by ‘Adolescence’ is that [spoilers] the main character was being bullied online and ridiculed for being an ugly incel who was destined for a life of perpetual virginity - girls learn from an early age that sex is something they can weaponise, and either use the promise of as a means to manipulate men, or use the denial of access to it as mean to punish men they see as undesirable/unworthy. Their attitude to sex on any…

The go hand in hand - the herd mentality is that, if a man is sexually unsuccessful, then he must be a creep; from personal experience at school, these labels were imposed arbitrarily and without basis, i.e. the girls simply decided that certain boys were virgins/losers and made sure everyone hammered that message home (which is essentially the plot of ‘Adolescence’)

It’s the “manosphere delusion zone” until she serves you the divorce papers, but by then, the revelation has come far too late
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 08:40 AM
-2

The function of the Beta Male Provider is to subsidise his partners lifestyle; he doesn’t have to be rich, just earn enough to cover the household expenses and allow her to maintain a disposable income. The divorce rape won’t set her up for life, but will allow her to grab a chunk of his assets/property and child maintenance will ensure a steady flow of cash until the kid turns 18.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 08:38 AM
-4

It’s usually within the wider context of divorce rape, with the mother having primarily conceived the child first to financially trap the man and then to maximise the divorce settlement. Now, it goes without saying that this could be avoided by men not marrying or having children to begin with - which I fully advocate for - but if a man did go down that route under the naive belief that his partner really did love him, the realisation that he was only ever a Beta Male Provider who’s sole purpose…

Now this is how you write a troll post! However, while you’ve got all of the bases covered, I’m afraid that this bait lacks originality and imagination, and it feels like you aren’t fully committed to the part, so I’m giving you a D; you need to spice it up a bit, make yourself sound more obnoxious and entitled, and throw in repeated references to “males” - you need to do better

Feminism is a childish, juvenile, asinine pseudo-ideology for liberal middle class women which allows them to protect and reinforce their class privilege while pretending to give a shit about “equality” - the only struggle that matters is the class struggle; feminism is petit bourgeois liberal bullshit

Because what’s the alternative? Try “cold approaching” women in public, and if you’re lucky it’ll just end in public humiliation. The apps reduce dating to a cold, heartless Darwinian brutality, but it strips out all the bullshit - as a man, you will never truly appreciate how the fairer sex perceive you until you’ve suffered the ritual Sisyphean humiliation that is Tinder; whoever invented it deserves a Nobel prize for services to humanity.

/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/25 12:49 PM
6

How?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/25 12:48 PM
8

It’s a lesson all men learn sooner or later, but most of us figure out early on that our male peers who display supposedly “toxic” traits are the most sexually successful - the guys who are loud, cocky, obnoxious, aggressive and domineering are the ones women flock to, and the guys they bully, who are quiet, shy, introverted, etc., are despised by women. Sure, some in the latter group will get a chance to be Beta Bucksed later down the line when the women who previously ignored them hit the wall…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/25 10:58 AM
26

Not necessarily - unless they’ve spent their entire lives indoors, they’ll have had some degree of interaction with women that allow them to form an opinion, e.g. seeing their female classmates swarm towards the guys who bully them like flies to shit sends a pretty clear message as to what women really think about “toxic masculinity”
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/25 10:51 AM

Settling for the oofy-doofy guy inevitably leads to divorce; if he was chosen because he’s the “safe” option that makes sense on paper, then the resentment is there from day one and will only grow over time. She freely admits that he’s the opposite of her type, so she’s spent her 20s stewing about all the alpha guys she could have been railed by had she not opted for a Beta Make provider while she was still a teenager and now she’s bailing.

You’re omitting the fact that women settle - they like to get railed by the alpha bad boys in their youth, but there comes a time when every woman realises that she needs a beta male provider with which to “settle down” and so she seeks out an passive oofy doofy guy who gets the privilege of paying for her shit. So in answer to your question; no, those guys are not assholes, but nor are they the guy that women really want - they are the guys that get settled for.

Aside from sex, the only thing women offer is validation; as men, society judges us solely on our sexual success - every other measure is secondary; it doesn’t matter how professionally successful you are, or what acts of benevolence you carry out, if you aren’t seen as being attractive to women, you are seen as a loser, plain and simple. And women are the ones who push this message the hardest; consider how quickly the women on this sub pivot to insults about being an “incel” the moment a man d…

I’m afraid that’s not how it works - in the eyes of the Blue Pill, all men are predators; to them, to be born male, especially a white male is an original sin for which there can be no absolution - simply existing is a reason for eternal punishment, and to so much as glance in a woman’s direction will land you with accusations of sexual misconduct
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/25 10:47 AM
2

What if they’re into S&M?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/25 10:40 AM
8

If you did something that resulted in public humiliation and ridicule, would you be keen to try it again?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/25 10:39 AM
2

The slight flaw in this argument is that the average Blue Piller will tell you that any spontaneous interaction with a woman initiated by a man is on a par with sexual assault - the reason so many men rely on the apps is that it is literally the only space where men can interact with women without being shamed and labelled as predators
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/25 10:38 AM

No, of course they fucking don’t - the Blue Pill brigade are the ones leading the charge and spewing the hate

Let me hazard as a guess - only the most elite of elite men will do; if he’s not 6’5 five with perfect blue eyes, a chiselled jaw, a God-like physique, porn star sized cock, six figure salary and a trust fund, then he’s simply not good enough for her. Same old story.

Average women “struggle” in the sense that the top 20% off men are off limits to them and so they have to settle for one of the 80% of men they believe to be beneath them
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/25 07:08 AM
18

Depends on what you mean by “struggle” - the better looking ones are going to struggle to get the men in the top 20% bracket to stick around and not use them for a pump’n’dump; the rest are going to struggle to get those men to give them the time of day in the first place. Otherwise, no they don’t, because they always have options; they may not like said option and resent the fact that they have to choose a man from the 80% bracket they deem up be beneath them to settle for, but they always have…

Oh, my sweet summer child - women settle. While they may think that they have a God-given right to 6’5 man who works in finance and has a trust fund, the reality is that those men aren’t going to give your average run of the mill mid the time of day, unless it’s for a quick pump’n’dump. So, for reasons of pragmatism and practicality, there comes a time in every heterosexual woman’s life when (usually around the time she turns 30) that she must reevaluate her options and lower her standards, and …

Not necessarily, but juries can make mistakes, and evidence can be withheld, etc. Being convicted isn’t a guarantee of guilt

/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 08:37 PM

She professed to be a “democratic socialist” - going to a party with a load of very rich people where the entry fee is more than most Americans earn in a year doesn’t exactly lend credibility to your left-wing credentials
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 08:36 PM

Another straw man! It has fuck all to do with what she has between her legs - if you are going to call yourself a “democratic socialist”, hobnobbing with the liberal elite isn’t going to result in people taking you very seriously. To the best of my knowledge, no male politician has ever attended the Met Gala with an empty slogan scrawled on their ass.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 08:34 PM

Why wouldn’t I?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 08:31 PM

A better solution would have been to have not gone to the Met Gala in the first place and to have not debased herself by willing being paraded around like a circus animal - if you want to be taken seriously, writing empty slogans on your butt is not the way to do it. And that’s a fine straw man you’ve built, but anyone who’s taken the time to read my posts will see that your kneeler assumption that I must be a Trumptydumpty supporter is way off.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 08:18 PM

Ironically, in your country, it’s the celebrities who play politician who actually get things done (albeit, not in a positive way)

Personally, I find it quite difficult to take a so called radical leftist seriously when they attend the Met Gala with a performative slogan written on their ass - she’s no Ulrike Meinhof
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 07:05 PM

No true leftist would attend the Met Gala (peacefully, at least). You can not advance the class struggle through representative democracy - your founding fathers designed your system governance specifically to keep the unwashed masses in their place; the system is flexible to a degree and will adapt, but power always remains concentrated in the hands of the oligarchy. AOC is a textbook example of what happens when leftists attempt to challenge the system from within; they quickly grow fond of th…

Another sweeping generalisation - most of us realise that women don’t look like porn starts in our teens
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 11:15 AM

You’re focusing on men who have very extreme and unrealistic beauty standards - they are the outliners
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 11:01 AM

I guess it’s fits into the wider context of ‘personality’ but if you’ve got two different types of senses of humour it’s probably not meant to be
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 11:00 AM

Unfortunately not - I commented on someone’s appearance within a context where they weren’t inviting that
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 10:44 AM

I can’t imagine being in a relationship with someone who had no sense of humour and took everything extremely seriously would be much fun, but I guess it’s a mater of personal preference
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 10:43 AM

This is a sweeping generalisation with a hefty dose of projection - there are 4bn men on the planet, each with their own likes, dislikes and standards, which varies considerably across cultures.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 10:41 AM

I think I may be guilty of objectifying someone and feel guilty about it - should I?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 10:10 AM

How has this not led to his arrest?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 09:53 AM

Men are more pragmatic, I think; if you’re a guy who has little to bring to the table, then your options are limited, and if you really want to be in a relationship then you have to be realistic as to what you can get, and for some guys, that means a girl with very poor hygiene As for why women settle for guys who stink - I am at a loss as to how to explain that as they will have better options

some men - some men have no standards

This is a job for ChatGPT: It depends on who you’re talking to and the context, but here are a few gentle and encouraging ways to remind someone to drink more water: 1. Casual Reminder: “Hey, have you had any water today? I just realized I need to drink more myself!” 2. Make It a Challenge: “Let’s see who can drink more water today—hydration challenge!” 3. Positive Reinforcement: “You’ll feel so much better if you stay hydrated! Want me to grab you a glass?” 4. Humorous Approach: “Your body is l…

FFS - they don’t have high standards because they want to vet men for being potential serial killers (and you conveniently omit the fact that Gress had a GF); in fact, a man who is a sociopath and potential killer would radiate ‘bad boy’ energy and do really well with the fairer sex. The inconvenient truth is that the majority of women have planet sized egos and a toxic, entitled, shit-don’t-stink attitude and believe that they have a God-given right to the highest calibre of men, and if a man i…

Lower our standards to what, exactly? The problem with this argument is that, thanks to the normalisation of misandry and the inflating of the collective female ego, the vast majority of women have a toxic, shit-don’t-stink attitude and think they have a God-given right to a man who is 6’5, with the body of a professional athlete and has a six figure salary - obviously they aren’t all going to get that, and for reasons of pragmatism, the vast majority will settle; but that means that they’ll sti…

Probably because of what the OP is describing; the majority of women are brainwashed by this garbage and develop a toxic, shit-don’t-stink mindset and believe that if a man isn’t 6’5 with a god-like physique and a six figure salary then he’s a pathetic loser who should fuck off and die. It in turn leads to bitterness and resentment as you come to realise that the dating game is rigged and that, unless you are one of the lucky few, the best you can hope for as man is that you’ll be settle for by …

This is an obvious troll post, but the answer is simple; women don’t approach men nor do they need to do anything to attract men - can date/get sex/enter a relationship simply by existing

How is this “incel logic” - I’m clearly not claiming that looks are the be all and end all, am I? No, I’m quite clearly saying that average, even below average men can get into relationships as long as they either accept or are oblivious to that that are primarily being used as financial resources. This is quite removed from “incel logic”
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 10:07 AM
1

Women work; but generally they secure a Beta Male Provider to supplement their income - his salary becomes “our money”, her salary remains “my money”, so she retains a disposable income while he pays the bills/puts food on the table
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 09:55 AM

Men are treated like adults and are expected to act accordingly; women are treated like children and allowed to behave accordingly
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/25 09:28 AM

This is victim blaming and illustrates why increasing numbers of men harbour resentment towards women; the fact is, the majority of women are toxic, selfish, narcissistic, hypergamous and cruel - they are primarily interested in the top 20% of and they do settle for oofy doofy beta guys who they use to gain financial stability. But they are also mollycoddled and treated like children and constantly reassured that nothing is ever their fault, that they are the victim, and they deserve everything …

Au contraire - the upset stems from the the blatant hypocrisy and double standards from the fairer sex; most women have dogshit personalities and yet still expect a man to not only fulfil an exhaustive list of arbitrary and absurd criteria but to also bend over backwards and jump through hoops to prove their worth. Ok, let me break it down for you. Women are primarily attracted to the top 20% of men. But there aren’t enough of the top 20% of men to go around. Therefore, women settle - you exist in the sense that you were settled for. If you’re not in the top 20% then, in an ideal world, she would be with a man who was; but she’s not, so she settled for you.

Yes, I am aware that shy/introverted women exist; but as ever, they expect to both have their cake and eat it and it’s yet another striking example of inherent female privilege - women have the luxury of being shy/introverted; men do not.

It’s well established that 80% of the women on OLD are exclusively interested in the top 20% of men, and with the best will in the world, the top 20% of men will have neither the time nor the inclination to pump and dump 80% of the female user base; so when women talk about “hating dating apps” this is what they mean - they aren’t matching with the guys who they believe they are entitled to

Because of the societal double standard; any man who so much as expresses a hint of frustration at his dating problems is admonished, belittled and harangued, told he’s an entitled toxic incel and ordered to hit the gym and obediently climb onto the hamster wheel of self-improvement and arduously toil away until he’s considered worthy of a relationship. Conversely, women are indulged and mollycoddled and reassured that nothing is ever their fault and it’s the shallow, superficial men who are to …

At this point, you’re still hoping to get married?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 01:59 PM
12

This is from a female perspective, and it makes sense because you people can have sex whenever you want and therefore there is no failure tag attached to holding onto your V card. For men, it’s completely different - being a virgin in your late teens, let alone as an adult is to be the subject of ridicule and mockery regardless of whether your holding out for the “right” person. This is yet another luxury that women have that men don’t.

So if I didn’t want to date a devout Muslim from Afghanistan, that’s make me a xenophobe?

Should we be forced to date people from different races to whom we are not attracted to just to prove we aren’t racist?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/25 11:18 AM

No, it isn’t. It’s also extremely impractical to date someone who lives in another country.

So…do you know which county uses the pound?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 08:58 PM

You’ll notice I put my suggested price in pound sterling - the hourly rate for a cleaner is £15-20 an hour
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 08:53 PM

Depends on how you believe the free market should function - e.g. if housing policy is left to the market, then housing is built to maximise profit, which entails stifling supply in order to maintain disproportionately high prices
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 08:51 PM
10

That’s stretching the definition of “autistic” to that point of absurdity
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 08:25 PM

Marx never explicitly advocated central planning; that was a Soviet invention which was necessary to rapidly industrialise the country. But leaving “the market” to determine housing supply obviously doesn’t work either - isn’t that the whole point of your post?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 08:16 PM

Which county do you think is going to want a load of unemployed Yank civil servants?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 07:47 PM

Free market = short-termism where the only thing that matters is that a few people make a killing at the expense of everything else; when everything is determined by “the market” then progress dies because profit is the only thing that counts
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 07:46 PM

Nobody is forcing this on me; but for the oofy doofy guys who want the whole marriage and kids shindig, then that’s invariably the offer that’s on the table - if you want to be a “wife guy” you’ve gotta be prepared to give her every penny you earn and subsidise her lifestyle

Exactly! That’s why this post has struck a nerve - here we have a man who will not jump on the hamster wheel of self-improvement and diligently toil away in the hope that one day a woman whose pump’n’dump days are behind her will graciously allow him to subside her lifestyle. Here’s a man living life on his own terms and it boils your collective blood

/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 03:27 PM

So every single man is a pathological liar and Walter Mitty who lives in an elaborate fantasy world? Or…could it be that you attract a certain type and should therefore…choose better?

So…one guy? But even then, his logic is that women usually know the person they date to some degree beforehand
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 03:03 PM

You’ve built a bit of a straw man there; nobody every deploys “choose better” in response to a bad first date - this is generally put to women when they complain about the shitty toxic men they are in an abusive relationship with. Therefore the “guys aren’t given a chance” sentiment remains valid - most women go for toxic assholes who treat them like shit and then play the victim card to absolve themselves of responsibility for their own actions; it’s the guys who aren’t toxic abusive asshole wh…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 02:38 PM

It’s just normalised misandry - e.g. think of the archetypal sitcom dad: a bumbling, incompetent, overgrown child kept in check by his sensible, level-headed no-nonsense wife; we’re bombarded with the message that men are stupid and child like and women are the opposite and it warps people’s perceptions of themselves and others

The rule of thumb is that, the bigger an asshole a man is, the more sexually successful he will be; the most toxic, arrogant, obnoxious and selfish men are always sexually successful - ergo they are “attractive”; they also have a tendency to abuse their partners and cheat on them. But these are the guys you ladies choose and the behaviour you collectively decided to reward, so why am I to argue?

Q4W - if you discovered that a guy who attends the same gym as you had publicly (i.e. on a sub Reddit) expressed a desire to sniff the seat of the exercise bike you’d used during a spin class, could that be seen as a romantic gesture? If a guy is willing to risk public humiliation, social ostracism and potential criminal charges for public indecency for but a tantalising sniff of you, is that not, on some level, flattering?
