Technically, consenting only out of a desire to avoid an adverse reaction is not true consent. If someone tells me or I suspect they will hurt me if I don’t do what they’re requesting, then my consent isn’t true consent. If someone pulled up, and aggressively told you they wanted you to get in their van, and you complied with their instructions… did you go freely, willingly and voluntarily of your own choosing?
