M68 here. I find women my own age the most attractive and love shoulder length gray hair. At my age, I don't lust after these silvery sirens, just appreciate the look. To me it shows confidence. Married 36 years, my wife has had short gray hair for two decades. Wouldn't swap my wife for anyone.

Man here, 68M. i don't think Red Pill is monolithic. I consume all pills and synthesize. What I have taken from RP (recent changes in my life): as a man I should be aware of my fitness and appearance (I walk and hike, don't go to a gym, weight is good, health is good, better fitting clothes); I have a very equal 36 year non-feminist marriage, I've started expressing an opinion in all choices and leading, it used to be that nobody chose; I doubt my wife would cheat, but it's my job to make her wa…

Divorced 1985, no kids, few assets. We used her lawyer. I took our salaries and calculated that I should pay her $300 a month for 24 months. She agreed. Her salary was on a path to equal mine in 2 years. We had two old cars, so we split. I signed over to her the purchase rights to the coop, which likely resulted in a gain when she bought it, but I had no love for that place. I preferred to start fresh. NY was an at fault state, so it took 18 months.

I recommend the YT channel The Hero's Spouse for a deep dive on MLC. Her husband had a mid life crisis and it took her years but they are ok. An MLCer usually does not want to leave the marriage, but frequently doesn't value the marriage either. An MLC has to run its course but it's usually not an exit affair.

Am I allowed to post since I'm a man? Apologies if not. Men are taught so many mixed messages and that it is polite to be wishy washy so to not hurt anyone's feelings by having opinions. First step, he's allowed to have opinions, preferences. This is not toxic behavior. A relationship is stronger when both partners can express themselves freely Since we're exploring RP, can you say to him that you want him to lead (it is his role to lead), that you believe in him to do it, and that you will foll…

Not my circus, but they award more money to the person they award more custody to.

Go ahead, but be honest about it while dating. If new girl might want to have kids, she should be told early.

Relationship with bipolar woman 1976 to 1985, married last 4 years. She didn't cheat, but she was depressed a lot and would not let me stay in my own house when she was depressed. No cheating, but it still sucked. If you'd added hypersexuality and cheating, yours was 100 times worse. Bipolar marriages have a 90% failure rate. Leave. You can't help her. Edit: fixed dates.

Things are changing, brothers. Ads insult men because women spend most of the money, it doesn't matter if they are single or married. Men don't need much.

My personal experience. Married 1979 to 1985: bipolar, impossible to live with. Married 1987 to present: no drama whatsoever. First wife was vivacious. Second wife was/is no frills. I'm very happy with the grounded, no frills. May your find a woman as good as my second wife.

As fiction, I like "The Accidental Tourist". Macon Leary, the protagonist, finds love unexpectedly after divorce.

I was ashamed and told my family after months of her having to forward my voice messages. No cell phones in 1983. Eventually I had to come clean. No infidelity. She was bipolar, which had a 90% divorce rate. I met my current wife (36) years the month I signed the divorce papers. I've led a happy life. Not euphoric, but better man most. Good luck.

Divorce is a big step and her praise indicates that she is your partner in their process. There will be times when you have "wrong" thoughts or fears. Take a second to acknowledge that thought. Know that it will not help you to be a better person. Forgive yourself. And push ahead. Even when you're ex is long forgotten, continue to push your new relationship forward. Relationships change over time and require constant attention. Good luck. Me 68M, divorced 1985, remarried 1987 (36 years).

In my mind, simply, acknowledge and reassure. Acknowledge your feelings to your GF. Feelings does not equal love for your ex. If you deny feelings, you are hiding or deceiving. Reassure your GF that you love her, that you are working through those feelings for your ex, and most importantly what steps you are taking to work through this. If you say what steps you will take, let her see these steps, she can measure your steps. Without a measurable plan anyone would eventually give up on you. Don't…

40 years ago this month my first marriage ended. 3 years later I got remarried and were still together 36 years later. Maybe I was lucky, but it can happen. You love someone who never loved you. Don't let her have power over you. Let her go. You can't control what happens to you, you can only control how you react. Your future is up to you. We are here for you. I'm available if you want to chat.

I was divorced in 1985 and remarried in 1987 and still going well. Things were simpler then, though. I wasn't looking for a LTR when I met my second wife and it wasn't fireworks. But within 6 months I was leaving clothes at her apartment and at one year we were engaged. If I required that I get the tingles, I would have passed on her and missed the most important person in my life. I didn't expect to be remarried so quickly, but it felt right. I was her first, so I didn't have to deal with her m…

So I had two marriages, one very bad and the second one (36 years+) is good. First wife (total 1976 to 1985; married 1979 to 1983; separated 1983 to 1985; divorced 1985). No cheating, no kids. Even during dating, she had many episodes of depression and did until the split. After college (2 years in) I had a sense that we either get married or break up. If you can ever verbalize that to yourself, don't get married! When she was depressed, she felt nothing for me, not even anger, and she didn't wa…

In 1983, I picked my wife up from a 4 week field course for teachers. When we got home, she told me to stay at her parents, which I did. She was bipolar so many nights she did not want me to come home, but this was different. I stayed with her parents for several weeks, got a very crappy illegal apartment which I occupied for two years. But 18 months after D Day, I met my current wife and 24 months after D Day I was living in my second wife's apartment in NYC. Now married 36 years. No complaints…

First wife was bipolar. 90% of bipolar marriages end in divorce. We were not the exception.

Some of the ladies have elaborate divorce parties and trips. Seems like a bit much when they're the ones who wanted out. Good luck brother. My D day was July 26, 1983 and it's been better every day since.

Granted, I've been out of the dating game for a long time, but having a conversation, IMHO, is universal. And if you can get to the point where conversing with a girl is just like any other conversation, it will take a lot of pressure off you. Take conversations wherever you find them. When I was between marriages in 1984/1985, I'd go to house parties. I always thought I was shy, but I was not. If there were no appropriate women, I'd talk to the guys. Sometimes I'd talk to women, even when we we…

I've been married for 34 years, but I recommend to become observant. From a person's presence, you can usually tell something about their interests, even if it's just their style. Ask an open ended question. Listen to the answer - it's not speed chess, you are trying to learn about the other person. If she says something you relate to, explain. If you don't understand her answer, ask. Don't be manipulative - honestly want to know the answer. Share your own experiences in response, but in good me…
