Asking for a divorceNot a man but my ex husband did the same thing to me for 3 years straight until I was the one that finally asked for a divorce. This behavior destroys trust and any sense of safety in a marriage. It’s also emotional abuse. Tell her that you agree and give her space. See what happens. I’d never advocate for a divorce but this is no way to live and is totally unfair. It’s also causing a lot of trauma that you may be currently unaware of. I wish you the best of luck and am sorry you’re going throug… | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/03/24 01:58 AM
5 months laterNot at all, but how long can you stay in a marriage where your spouse threatens divorce everytime he gets mad at you? At some point you’re going to give him what he wants. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/09/23 11:48 AM
5 months laterIt sounds like you’re still wallowing in self pity. Not trying to be harsh but coming from the woman who finally had enough and left, I did it to get his attention. After years of trying to communicate and him responding with I don’t care or I don’t want you, I finally took his advice. I still love my ex-husband and there’s a good chance your ex wife still loves you. She’s waiting for you to step up. Be consistent. Start texting her good morning, start helping more with the kids if you have them… | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/09/23 01:52 AM

Thinking about telling OBS about ex-wife’s affair. Concerned about retaliation. If you have an attorney telling you not to say anything then don’t mess yourself over. However, I would want to know as a wife if my husband was having an affair. Tough situation to be in. Best of luck to you. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/05/23 08:33 PM
Why do they love bomb you when you call it over?As a woman, I could myself doing this (not the tattoo tho) if I wasn’t expecting a divorce. If you’ve previously tried to discuss issues in your marriage with her, but she never listened, then the above commenters are likely correct. She is losing control of the situation. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/09/22 11:13 PM
Contemplating DivorceI would speak with an attorney to see if she can even move them across the country without your consent. That doesn’t seem like she’d be able to make that decision unilaterally. I wouldn’t concede to either of her options. She is controlling the entire situation and that is entirely unfair. You should have a say in this as well. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/09/22 05:37 PM
THINKING OF ENDING MARRIAGE OF 4 YEARSWhy don’t you invite her to the gym with you and start meal planning/prepping? It sounds like she has no motivation which I can relate to, especially if y’all have children. They’re a lot of work. But she may be more receptive if you come at it from a place of a joint lifestyle change and to be healthy instead of telling her what she needs to do herself. Your support could make a world of difference. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/09/22 01:24 PM
Delusional wife...It sounds like she doesn’t want the divorce and is grasping at straws to keep the two of you together. | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/09/22 11:55 PM

As a man you will live and die aloneI’m lurking on the sub hoping to gain some insight into my what may be going through my husband’s mind at the moment. As a woman, I can say this isn’t always the case. I love my husband more than anything in the world and have literally begged him to just love me back. I’m sorry you guys haven’t yet found a woman that truly loves you, but it does exist. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/09/22 12:40 AM
