My experience is similar, but only for female patients. With men, it is very much the exception rather than the rule. Usually, I insert them.

Your catheter will be inserted very likely by a female nurse. If you're UK based, I can tell you this is actually very unlikely - although it may well be inserted by a female doctor. I haven't heard many cases where men have specified a male doctor. They would be more than welcome and empowered to do so.

So blame the people who are abusing the concept. Feminism is an egalitarian principle, abused by some for power. Religion is usually seen as a peaceful and harmonious way of life, abused by some for power. Surely we can agree it's the people to blame, and that feminism, like religion, has worthwhile virtues that are worth defending?

Not all feminists represent feminism. I've been as furious as everyone else at the extreme and the obvious cases on /r/MensRights, but tarring all feminists with the same brush is just as helpful as those feminists' tarring of all MRAs with the same brush.

Well, if you look at the original post, I do take offence - blaming doctors for women dying of heart disease? Suggesting a miscarriage of scientific process by "extrapolating data to women"? These are very strange claims to make for a very well-recognised phenomenon: more women die of heart disease because women live longer. More women die from most things for which age is a major risk factor.

Just a thought: this could easily be a contributing aspect of the competition psychology. I mean, it's pretty rational when you think about it - women probably do judge each other because of men. Why else would they? It's called sexual selection. I know the thought process behind my reaction to meeting a better looking guy definitely involves women. EDIT: Assumed you were being sarcastic.
