How do you feel in female-dominated spaces?Apologies if my response came off as harsh bro. Just trying to share my experience as a dude in a female dominated industry without any clear path forward to improving things. I’ve connected with men in similar situations in the same industry, and my experience is not a unique one, but it’s the nature of being the “outsider” in this situation | /r/MensRights | 25/07/25 08:49 PM
How do you feel in female-dominated spaces?I have zero issue sticking up for myself. That’s not at issue at all. Try to understand the reality of the situation I’m in. I’m one of maybe 3 males in my work group of about 35 people. My supervisor and manager are both female. I’ve seen other men get driven out of the company because they were deemed misogynistic. I love the technical aspects of my job, but if I get driven out of here, I’d have to move to a new city to find work. Not to mention I’d have to list that supervisor and manager in … | /r/MensRights | 25/07/25 08:45 PM
How do you feel in female-dominated spaces? Then I get the response of “You aren’t listening to her because she’s a woman” or I get the “you are just intimidated by strong women” or some variant of it. It’s exhausting. I just want to come to work, do my job, and not have to listen to them talk about “did you hear Debbie is sleeping with X” or “My husband did Y” (followed by the immediate group agreement that whatever the husband did was absolutely wrong) | /r/MensRights | 25/07/25 08:27 PM
How do you feel in female-dominated spaces?Ordinarily I’d agree with you. The problem? My supervisor and manager are both female. If I start calling out the behavior, I get iced out. Then any thing I say or do could be taken in an offensive context and reported to management. It’s a no win scenario | /r/MensRights | 22/07/25 04:43 PM
Women are complaining that men don't approach them anymoreI’ve been back in the dating pool for a few years. I’m a decent looking guy, with a decent job, a good house, etc. Most of the women that try to match with me on hinge/bumble/etc have histories of drug abuse, live in objectively disgusting apartments, don’t have their lives together in general. Whenever I do get a seemingly good match, the entitlement is ridiculous. Im expected to plan a “bachelorette” style date and drop a few hundred bucks on a first date. Can’t win for losing in dating now. | /r/MensRights | 21/07/25 02:44 PM
How do you feel in female-dominated spaces?I work in a female dominated industry- constantly told that I am “too harsh”, have my judgment and experience overlooked, I’m too “blunt”, have the physical tasks shifted to me, and all the other stereotypical things. It sucks. I get yelled at in public by female coworkers, and am instantly assumed to be the “bad guy” and that I “deserved it”. | /r/MensRights | 21/07/25 02:39 PM
