It literally takes next to no effort to maintain my male friendships. We obviously help each other out but we're all adults so it's very rare that we need outside support to handle our life.

DOI stands for Digital Object Identifier and is used as and id for scientific articles. I'm not sure you will be able to access the articles since the way scientific articles work is fucked up and it's quite difficult to get them for free. You can try using Google Scholar as you can sometimes find full articles there.
