2	History class at University Reflection of different times for sure. Powerful/influential women were more often than not political and diplomatic tools. I suspect that hasn't changed much today. Not sure if you're looking for historical figures or not. But women that broke the standards of their time periods with exceptional ambition were Boudica, Cleopatra, and Joan of Arc.
