| 1 | Delusional ex requests spousal support when I’m assuming all the debt. When your divorced she will have to find her own health/car insurance, state dependant on spousal support and income differences the view is 1 year for every 3 years married. Get an appraisal of the property of the date married and date seperated asap, I'm sure she will have an inflated number. They SHOULD take both into consideration and meet in the middle. My experience was the same I had 0 equity and her report came back at 40k equity, needless to say I ended up paying 35k just to stop the le… | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/05/25 06:33 PM |
| 3 | Value of stock [date filed or date of settlement]None of it makes sense! I stopped trying to make any settlements and waste money on lawyers, waiting for the courts to finish it now. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/11/22 11:01 PM |
| 2 | Value of stock [date filed or date of settlement]They do a QDRO for the retirement accounts and its real easy on your employers end. If it gets to a judge for the personal accounts, thats where it seems grey, with no agreement sounds like he can choose the date be it on the seperaration date or as of the decree. Everything is negotiable. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/11/22 06:06 PM |

It can be an accounting problem later so if its a personal account leave it be and start a new one. That conversation ended being told how she had a client in which at a point they had a 1 million dollar 401k to split, market down turned and b… | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/11/22 04:18 PM |
