What xD

I'm not saying that would be easy, it's just going to happen sooner or later.

The world is overpopulated now. To solve both problems people from Africa, India and China could move to less populated areas.

I don't agree with their views on feminism, but actually it is a safe space and I would rather post my traumas there as this sub is sometimes toxic.

It is the only way to abolish obligatory register.

This goes the other way as well, for women. I'm not saying that's a good idea, but stating that Iceland is "systematically sexist towards men" because of this one thing is a huge exaggeration.

I feel like there are way more important issues that should be discussed here and am confused why this got so many upvotes.

"Companies with more than 50 employees must have at least 40 per cent of both genders represented on their boards" How is this sexist?

How is Iceland systematically sexist?

Can we stop calling forcebirthers "prolife"?
/r/MensRights22/09/21 08:11 AM

But not directly. Also, it's not stated that the gov must pay for the child - the mother might have a good financial situation, find a new partner or decide to have an abortion if the father opts out.
/r/MensRights22/09/21 08:08 AM

This. Nobody should be punished for having sex. I believe though that the man should have the choice until some time, so that the woman could have an abortion if she doesn't want to raise a kid without a father.
/r/MensRights21/09/21 10:07 PM

Not really. You can support feminism, but simply be ignorant (or never heard) about its negative impact. That's why we should talk about it and show that egalitarianism is an alternative.

I'm not from the US so I'm not sure if I should write this. But you have my full support, fingers crossed.

Yeah, forgot bout it. I have them fortunately. Its too late for Earth to wait for lowering the demand naturally though.

If i use electricity, i dont have much choice how it is produced. The only choice ive got here is whom i vote for.

Yes, thats also a good point. The rich want to protect the rich in order to earn as much as possible.
/r/MensRights27/07/21 04:50 PM

No, WE dont. Maybe you do because you like the benefits you get by oppressing other people. I was bullied because i was a sensitive and skinny boy by people with views like yours and that trauma stays for long

I believe there are less harmful ways of producing these goods, its just more expensive and they want to save every penny. Although youre right, we could also as the customers make less harmful decisions. Its just worth pointing out these statistics, cause its a real problem and we should put more attention to people responsible for production.

With criticising, opposing this and excluding people responsible, i could.

Im from Europe and didnt know bout it, but nah, after a short read i think it harms men. So youve got a point that it also supports the problem.
/r/MensRights27/07/21 12:14 PM

Eh. Thats the generalising im talking about. "Not all men", " not all feminists".
/r/MensRights27/07/21 12:11 PM

Generalising doesnt lead to solving the problem. Although you are right that its a major part.
/r/MensRights27/07/21 12:06 PM

Men being ignored as domestic violence victims isnt caused by feminism, because it existed before feminism. It's also a result of patriarchy, which demands men to be strong.
/r/MensRights27/07/21 12:01 PM

"A society full of feminized and weak men is a problem" Oh no. You are the problem. Gender stereotypes should be a thing of the past.
/r/MensRights27/07/21 11:58 AM

Thanks, it's really fucked up. Normal feminists should take more effort to criticise and exclude people like this from this environment.

Carbon footprint, by the way, is a companies' propaganda to blame customers for their pollution. Sure we can reduce our amount, but 100 companies are responsible for 71% of the whole pollution, so cmon man, address the problem properly. Edit: u/Gimme_The_Loot linked an initiative to put pressure on US senators with carbon pricing. If you are from the US and protecting the environment is important to you, check this out.

There isnt 1 feminism that all individuals relate too. There are sexists fighting for matriarchy and people fighting for equality. I was talking about the second one. Also, source for your statements?
/r/MensRights27/07/21 11:19 AM
1

Good to know that. It's just that the word feminism primarily focuses on females, and although fighting with a label might seem worthless, this focus can often be seen in practice. I feel like the solution might be that more people start identifying as MRA's focusing on male issues, and feminists with MRA's could cooperate.
/r/MensRights27/07/21 08:54 AM

Nah, harmful, completely not evidence based opinions should not be tolerated and discussed. That's why.

Yes, I didn't read the whole previously, sorry.
/r/MensRights27/07/21 08:44 AM

I generally agree with your post. The problem with feminism though is that it addresses only female problems. It may seem that fighting female gender stereotypes will benefit men as well, but in practice it doesnt work. We need to focus on both genders' problems at the same time, which is called egalitarianism.
/r/MensRights27/07/21 08:43 AM

"Why can't we just call it gender roles?" Because it's a stereotypical alpha male who rules in patriarchal societies. This harms both men and women who dont agree to these stereotypes.
/r/MensRights27/07/21 08:37 AM

No. These problems existed before feminism.

It's sad to see a sexist in a sub demanding gender equality. Get lost with this bullshit.

I was asking to confirm, so it kinda matters. It depends what you mean. If it comes to domestic violence, definitely isn't.

Which post do you mean?
/r/MensRights20/07/21 05:58 AM

There is in some places in the world. And some feminists fight for the matriarchy. Matriarchy =/= feminism though.
/r/MensRights20/07/21 12:30 AM
1

What do you mean by learning feminism? Getting knowledge about it? Taking to people and the internet. I know both sides of feminism and seeing only the dark side hurts the healthy one. There are feminists who see men have problems too and don't want to keep them.
/r/MensRights20/07/21 12:17 AM
1

Thank you for all the links, I'll read them tomorrow. I already defined patriarchy, it's the rule of men matching the gender stereotype. It hurts both men and women who don't fit in the patriarchal stereotypes.
/r/MensRights20/07/21 12:15 AM

The healthy version simply doesn't exclude men and doesn't ignore their problems. It focuses on fighting inequality, not gaining benefits. A feminist from Poland standing for men's rights: https://twitter.com/majakstasko/status/1409232548358729729?s=19

/r/MensRights19/07/21 11:31 PM

Yes, i believe fighting (generally) gender stereotypes might benefit both men and women.
/r/MensRights19/07/21 11:30 PM

We should fight gender stereotypes next to each other. Fuck sexists, but don't let them ruin possible cooperation. The hatred should be directed at the system and not used to create new stereotypes. And the definition of feminism is simply standing for women's rights. Not all people labelling themselves as feminists present the healthy version, but still.. don't make femcel twitter threads fool you.
/r/MensRights19/07/21 11:26 PM
1

I didn't state I'm a feminist. Patriarchy is a thing, but it's not about all men ruling, but those who match the gender stereotype. Men can also be victims of this system. Oppression by men? Women maintain patriarchy as well, so nah.
/r/MensRights19/07/21 11:20 PM
-4

There is a patriarchy, it's just often misunderstood. It's the rule of men matching the stereotype of an "alpha male", not of all of men. I totally agree that there are women who state that their sexism is feminism and see it as establishing matriarchy, but please don't bring feminists who don't exclude men to this picture.
/r/MensRights19/07/21 11:15 PM
-3

Feminism == women's (and in some cases men's) rights. If one is against a healthy, not sexist version of feminism, he rings into misogynistic tones.
/r/MensRights19/07/21 11:05 PM
2

I don't call myself that way because i feel like men's problems are ignored and want to focus on that matter. However, both women and men benefit from fighting gender stereotypes, which feminists (not sexists, but those fighting for equality) do too. Edit: just saw the popularity of that image. Sexist femcel sub doesn't apply for all feminists though. Don't make the same mistake they make.

Yes, it should in some way. Don't generalise lol.
/r/MensRights19/07/21 10:53 PM

I'm speaking of people who generalise feminists and use this false image to hoard their hatred (not about the original post). There's no difference between this and "i hate men" bullshit.
/r/MensRights19/07/21 10:23 PM
-8

Just why are you like that
/r/MensRights19/07/21 09:04 PM
-10

Actually I've seen recently a feminist activist from my country (Maja Staśko) standing for men's rights. I understand your frustration, but don't turn it into misogyny guys, it's not worth it. Edit: not saying OP did so. Just a point in the discussion.
/r/MensRights19/07/21 08:55 PM
