A succubus?! LOOOLZ. Do you know what that means? For the record, you aren't talking to who you think you are. I am the man of this account engaging this conversation. It is a very dumb conversation so I will not continue. But I just want to point out the irony of wanting to preserve the established father's wealth because money doesn't buy happiness. It buys therapy, which is a roundabout, results-will-vary way of buying happiness in children with trauma.

Did you even read my comment ? Unfortunately, I did. Thankfully, the courts awarded my family some comfort commensurate with his lifestyle. There is substantial trauma that goes along with splitting a family. My siblings all carry the scars of it. I can't imagine if suddenly we also lost our material comfort and our ability to seek therapeutic help when we needed it. It is very likely that my siblings and myself wouldn't have accomplished as much as we have. I am very proud of each of us. Thanks…

Great question. It is actually a matter of human decency. When you love your children you tend to want to use your resources on them. If you don't love them, frivolous shit is more important to you. It is a character defect that often plays a part in the end of the marriage.

I believe that it is related to the assumed quality of life before the dissolution of the union. The child support is based on what will be best for the child, not the parents at all.
