You were more than gracious as a friend. Just a friend. Be just a friend.

My only point about the “jaded” comment was that it’s impossible to predict someone else’s perspective and to give trust based on an impossible reality is just a veil behind “I don’t want to trust anyone ever again”. I know for me, I’ve been betrayed by far fewer people in my life than people who have betrayed me, so it doesn’t make sense to withhold trust from the whole from one bad experience

Agreed, not really sure how to predict someone else’s perspective accurately. Sounds like a jaded comment, no disrespect, but in the future I refuse to let this ruin my trust in other people

Anyone who I care about was close enough to see everything come to light. Just hurts that someone who a month ago was my everything would just betray me like this.

How I feel, she’s just punching me in the ribs out the door with the victim story

We are all Christians, our mutual friends are all Christians, they are/were actively in the fight for our marriage, trying to pull her back to the marriage and talk some sense into her about the destruction she’s causing. So they’ve seen everything come out, they’ve seen me be vindicated.

Yeah I mean I did vet her for 7 years, worth noting you can’t predict how people will act in the future

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
