Well, the important thing is that it's men's fault. Glad we got that sorted.

up front: my wife is my age..however. In my dating experience, the ~30 year olds really aren't any more mature than the ~20 year old women. Not in the ways that matter, anyway. It's not any more difficult to find a 30 year old that doesn't understand consequences or agency than it is to find those traits in someone 10 years younger.

There definitely exists a feedback loop. Once the "social value" and "getting ladies" machine starts spinning on its own, the "value added" component seems to become less relevant. It doesn't totally disappear, though. I guess I see it functioning maybe like one of those battery-powered bicycles that maintains speed, but doesn't really do much to accelerate. In this case "adding value" = "manual pedaling" Does that make any sense? Am I smoking crack? I have never used on of those bikes.

I would argue, with little in the way of hard facts and data, that "success with women" and "general perception in society" do not have a causal relationship in either direction. Rather, my position would be that they share a root cause. The exact size and shape of that root cause will differ based on the circles you run in. For example, your ability to bring drugs to a party isn't gonna do much for you in a staunchly fundamental baptist social circle (just an asspull example, don't get lost in …

Well, If you've never seen a rather "nice" girl waste years of her life on a guy that is clearly an asshole... Well i guess I want to know where you live because i'm selling my house and moving there, lol. Furthermore, the obvious answer to THAT is "well he's an abusive manipulator" which brings us back to "Assholes get women"... I've seen the inverse as well, obviously, but it's much more believable that Ned Schneebly has to settle for an asshole GF.

I look at it this way: If someone runs you over while crossing the street at a crosswalk. It's their fault, but you're still the one who got hit by a car. If you don't wanna get by a car, look before you cross. Tell the paramedic that you had right of way and see if that unbreaks your leg, lol.

lol, nah i made it up. Just attributed it to some random guy. The joke is usually made with a founding father, so I tried to hide a second joke in there wherein I mistake Scott Adams for John Adams. It didn't work, but that's ok.

I've been thinking about this lately. I was raised fundie. However, it isn't the sex-aversion that I think screwed me. It was the fact that that the greatest virtues extolled by my upbringing were things like humility and deference, and the greatest sins being greed, sloth, and pride. Pair that with the fact that I was also raised to be pretty hard-working and am pretty smart, I have come to the conclusion that I was raised to be an incredibly effective tool for someone more ambitious than mysel…

This is more of an argument with peoples stupid criteria for determining value see: "they deem worthy of being confident." I never said women were being good judges here, just that they ARE the judges. Like the interviewing manager at a company. You don't get the job by being qualified, you get the job by convincing them you are qualified. The difference may seem subtle, but it's worth noting. Is all I'm trying to say. Not attempting to start an argument. I don't think we're too far from each ot…

I tried to pitch a mentoring program at my company (a faceless multinational globocorp). I was informed that a woman-only mentoring program already exists and that my program would "take that away from them" and thus hurt our DEI initiatives. I'm sure this isn't the case for everyone, but that's why we don't have one. quick edit: I work in talent development, so a project like that would be well within the scope of my role.

The best solution to that particular problem would be "rolling back 100 years of social progress" and is commonly considered a human right violation. So here we are. DEPENDING on when this was, it's actually pretty possible for her travel to have been cancelled. In the philippines, you have to go through customs to LEAVE (even if you're a filipino citizen). It's not uncommon for the customs agent to just be like "no i don't like your face" and not let you go. Happened to my girl once. It's sort of a craps shoot. They're changing policy, though. From a business perspective: a product that you can't sell is not a good product. iPhones are overpriced garbage. Business doesn't care. You could have a good product and reasonable price, but if you can't convince people to buy it, then your business is gonna go under. Simple as. Advertising and sales are as (if not more) important than the product.

Some people like being drunk and dancing in a loud sweaty place with strangers. It's weird as shit to me, but some people like it. Sounds miserable, imo. Then again, I would absolutely go to a good metal concert, get drunk and mosh with a bunch of sweaty strangers in my younger days, so maybe it's not so crazy. I can only speak for myself, but growing up I heard "it's unfair" quite a bit. When something wasn't fair, it usually meant I had to give something up. I had a toy and they didn't? that isn't fair, I need to share. That sort of pattern. Sort of ended up in a "what's theirs is theirs and what's mine is ours" mentality. Seemed reasonable, right? Bro. My girl is Filipina. After a decade of getting nowhere here in the states, i decided to try my luck. It was eye-opening. I met a couple women with less-than-honest intentions, but for the most part it was an embarrassment of riches. I actually got some compassion for women on dating sites, tbh. It reached a point where I just honestly couldn't keep up with the messages I was getting and just started not replying to the ladies with obvious deal-breakers (single mothers, for example). Being i…

Right? They want to act like "Elective" doesn't account for 95% abortions. Looks, The Philippines is a shithole. They can't figure out the most basic things about keeping a country running. However, despite abortions being illegal, you can still have one as an actual medical procedure (in the case of an ectopic pregnancy, for example, the case of someone close to me.) If the FUCKING PHILIPPINES can figure this shit out, why are people acting like this level of nuance is just beyond us. This is t…

Honest question: which incel communities have you hung out on. I'm not arguing here, since the flavor may differ depending on which ones you visit. I mostly visited braincels and the related subs. The self-loathing is/was so thick. They look in the mirror and hate everything they see. They look at their life and they hate it. They hate their childhood, they hate their present, and have absolutely every expectation of hating their future. They hate what they are far more than they hate what they …

Well, "better" or "worse" is sort of lazy verbage. The fact remains: he gets what he wants, and I don't. It's been years and I'm over it. It wasn't just once, though. If it were just the one girl, I probably would have been able to shrug it off, but it was a trend. Therapist posited that I may be drawn to damaged women. It's possible, for sure. However, talking with other men and observing women would lead me to believe that IF that were the case, then it is ALSO the case that the vast majority …

So... I have a thought here. It could be a bit Pavlovian. Like, we never hear "you're husband material" while being accepted. We only hear it as a consolation while being rejected. I think this is the biggest source of the "Nice Guy problem." How many of those "Nice Guys" were called "Nice" while being rejected? As a kid, I was always assured that I was a super nice guy while girls were telling me that they weren't interested. What's a guy supposed to take from that? In the many years added to m…

Truthfully, until i was hanging out with him, I though women's attraction was an enigma, and I simply couldn't tell if a woman was into me. After seeing women throw themselves at him, I understood that women were super easy to read. They just weren't into me. Sucks, but it's nice knowing. That's always my point when I try to explain the situation to people. I avoid the subjective about how I feel personally, and I don't expect any empathy towards younger men who have basically been removed from the market. Yeah, I look back and cringe at my attempts in high school. I think we all do to an extent. I'm ~30 now and I still prefer not to think of the blunders for too long. But, it is rare for a woman to use this term (maybe that has changed now?) to mean exactly that. When a woman turns a guy down, she tries to make it easy on him to avoid flak for doing so as they naturally aim to avoid conflict (not to be confused with drama). This in particular was the first thing I realized about the situation.

If we have nothing to gain from, or nothing constructive to add to the situation, then there is no reason to spend time on it. Also, I can't help but notice most of his posts on the first few pages been downvoted. Posting a direct link to his profile making fun of him, might be considered brigading, which is bad for the sub, considering the powers that b…

In the military, you get warned about this shit. At least I did. My crippling low self-esteem prolly helped here. "Why is this girl willing to sleep with me? A Few years back, before I knew anything about trp, I met this girl. She was OK... nothing more than OK. Definitely a bit weird, but frankly, I was just glad that someone was willing to play with my dong. So, we are in bed doing stuff. She tries to put me in a couple times and I pause to grab a condom. All well and good, right? No. Turns out, she wasn't ok with me using a condom. she said it didn't feel right. She said it meant I didn't trust her. She said a real man wouldn't use one. I said con…

9S100...Well, I'm at about 200lbs. Chart on the doctor's wall says I should be around 165. I still got an 89 on my last PT test. That test is a terrible measure of fitness. I'm stuck in the midwest. Well, for the sake of dick measuring. I'm about 5'8", roughly 30-40lbs overweight. Currently I keep a chair warm for the USAF... if that counts as doing the war thing. I play lead guitar in a band, and my 5.0 runs high 11s... Doesn't seem to help my self-image, though... I'm pretty sure I could become leader of the free world and still see a failure in the mirror. Not quite sure what's up with that. I'll come up with something.

Frankly, I'd say it's more of an aura I exude than any one thing. The common advice is to be more confidant, but it's difficult to be for no reason, isn't it? I don't know. Either way, i'll be ok, I think. I'm just kinda bummed out for a few different reasons atm.

Man, i bought a couple prom tickets. they were like $50 a piece, too. My mom told me I NEED to buy them, that I'll really regret it if I don't go to prom, even alone. Well, they stopped selling prom tickets two weeks before prom, so I sold them to some dumbass for $100 a piece a a few days before "the most important night of our young lives." Unfortunately, I then wasted the night of the prom working on the DnD campaign I was running... Can't win 'em all, right?

I love that book... It's stupid, but it's funny. The fun thing about that book is how many people don't really get what the author was doing... Which is talking about women the way women have been allowed to talk about men for decades. Seriously, if you reverse the genders in the book it doesn't seem quite as outlandish is reading it vanilla, does it?

It's ok, his patriarchy membership card got lost in the mail. I remember when I first got mine. First thing I did was walk up to a random women, and smack her ass. Of course I hung around until the cops showed up. They began to question me. "No, no. It's ok," I said as I showed my patriarchy membership card "I'm a man." They shrugged their shoulders and walked away saying, "Oh, I see. Carry on." but not before scolding the woman for wasting police resources. I then put on my military uniform and…

My story is not flattering, nor is it a single event. Reminds me of a checkup I have to get for my job once a year. Go to the hospital on base and I'm in the waiting room and in walks a female major (she outranks me significantly) "Do you use protection during sex?" "uhh..." She gives me a strange look "I assume you are sexually active." "Well, I talked to a girl once..." Luckily, that meant I didn't have to take the battery of tests she was about to conduct... still.... awkward exchange...

So all I need to do is take a single character trait I possess, or activity I partake in, and completely center my personality around that... it's so simple. So many times my friends have said "You front a band, drive a badass car, you're in the military, and you're smart, why aren't you getting laid every night?!" It all makes sense now!!! It's true. I'm in the Air Force, and my tech training was on the same base as the firefighter training. Most of the students were male, but there was the occasional female in that unit. They were held to the same standard and took the same physical tests the males had to. It wasn't often a female graduated from that school, but when they did, you knew she could do anything the guy next to her could.

I like your answer, and I agree, but I'm gonna play devil's advocate here, for S's and G's... "The reason women don't traditionally have a "womanhood" to earn is because their role throughout history has been little more than being a servant. The only thing women have been able to do to claim womanhood is marry a good man. It's because of this that we get saying like, 'make on honest woman out of her' as though her worth is dependent on the man." /whatshe'dprobablysay

Anyone who is honest with themselves would see that. Perhaps the PUA community has changed recently, but last I checked, it's about getting girls to sleep with you by playing to their weaknesses. It's like sweeping Ralph Machio's knee. there are a couple basic things it can teach you like "be confident" and "don't put her on a pedestal," but the way I see it, if you can't figure that out yourself, you're in more trouble than being forever alone.
/r/MensRights26/06/11 05:24 PM
2

Gotta disagree with ya there. he entire concept of the PUA is about misrepresentation and manipulation. It's all about making someone think or feel something artificially. It's like instead of studying and understanding math, just learning how to take a test. It's totally missing the point, and it's going to bite you in the ass eventually. Real male empowerment would have nothing to do with gaining a woman's approval. Imagine if civil rights leaders took the approach "we just need to change ours…

Oh memories of high school. Terms like one-itis and and IOI's. what a load of garbage. The methods work, but only by changing your character traits, and I don't think a self respecting man should change who they are for the sake of getting their junk wet. Those are the rules of THEIR (women's) game. Don't play their game. That and I'm against the idea of being a manipulative bastard.
