On the first point, do you by any chance have your location turned on on your phone? If so, you can disprove what she's saying. Is she specific about dates that you have missed? Is she communicating all the shit that she's putting them in to you or setting you up to fail? Mine tried the same thing but said I was working and never home, but my location data told a different story. She may hit you with wild allegations, but if you can calmly disprove them little by little, her credibility with the…

I think the friendship thing is either a bullshit social media image management thing--definitely if it's someone on the disordered spectrum. I don't hate mine anymore 1.5 years from finalizing and 3.5 from separating. But I look at her actions...cheater, tried to steal my kids, and 60k in legal fees, and I know she is a dangerous person that's just not worth my energy. Grey rock 100% when I have to interact, and otherwise, I'm focused on my kids and myself.

As hard as it is, treat it as a business negotiation. Easier said than done with your kids involved I know, but be clear on what you want and if she pulls anything out of left field, don't be afraid to walk away. If you agree to something in mediation that you regret later, it might be harder to undo. So stay strong King. You've got this!

Canadian here, and my ex tried this and failed. In general, the courts are hesitant to grant a relocation as it disrupts the kids lives. Your kids being so young and one on the way might give her a leg up in making the argument that it wouldn't be disruptive. The cost to defend can be very high. All in, mine was 40k. But I had to stand up for them so it was money well spent as I couldn't picture myself seeing them once or twice a month, and we had been living in our current city for 10 years. Yo…

8% is defensible I think if you're looking at the average return rate of say the s&p on an annual basis. The bigger question is do you think she would be open to this methodology and will you spin your tires and billable hours going back and forth on the assumptions? I had ideas around this in my case, but she preferred a flat monthly amount because she didn't understand the time value of money. Good luck!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
