| -1 | stbx may have cancer..Dude you’re preaching to the choir but if you’re honestly saying you want the avoidable death of your kids mother on your conscience for the rest of your life… idk what to tell you. Not that she deserves “mercy” but getting cancer is pretty fkin bad karma in and of itself. For the price of an insurance premium, I’d rather keep my soul clean of any involvement in someone’s death. Especially if I once loved them. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/12/22 11:07 PM |
stbx may have cancer..It’s not entirely that. A lot of men weren’t modeled how to split housework because our parents weren’t performing the same roles like most households do now. We’re slacking in the chore-equity and things like that. But the degree to which I guess we relied on there being some innate VALUE in having a father in the home, in the minds of women who are earning - and the degree to which that doesn’t seem to be the case is pretty startling. So many needlessly broken homes from very self-centered and… | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/12/22 07:20 PM
stbx may have cancer..You know dude I’m a big subscriber in the admittedly self-affirming narrative that men are getting absolutely shafted in long term/family relationships. In so many ways I feel the modern world has hacked women’s brains to make them discontent and destroy their families, devalue their men for the cheapest of reasons. It’s such a shame, there’s entire industries catered to encouraging/facilitating a wife destroying her home and taking the man she vowed her life to for everything he has. The women … | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/12/22 03:49 PM

Disney & DivorceI may be saying this out of frustration or bitterness for how easy I have seen our social systems make it for women to break their homes and destroy their families - but I gotta let it out. I have 2 daughters and of course my oldest (3y) is obsessed with all things Disney/princesses. When I was her age I would watch Lion King/Pinocchio on repeat. Those movies had messages of Duty and Responsibility. Simba has to abandon his lazy lifestyle with his friends to return to his pride and save his fami… | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/12/22 07:43 PM
Dating post-divorceYup. We’re a strange and beautiful species that can feel a really complex range of emotions. But just remember that it hurts because it was good at one point. Few things in life that are worth having or experiencing come without a cost. I think you get that. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/12/22 04:55 PM
Dating post-divorceYeah that’s a good practice. Just be mindful that online forums bring a disproportionate number of broken, angry and isolated people. Especially on this topic of divorce. I think you’re going to be just fine. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/12/22 04:51 PM
Dating post-divorceI think you and I are looking for different returns. Different gains. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/12/22 03:54 PM
Dating post-divorceNah I’ve been through the ringer. Going through it still right now actually. It’s rough. The idea that I would forgo companionship for the rest of my life just because I’m damaged from this process is really weak. I’m just not going to get married. Dodged that bullet that first time and I don’t see what it adds to a relationship. But that doesn’t mean I’m going to get rid of the part of me that wants companionship and to invest myself in a woman. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/12/22 03:49 PM
Dating post-divorceNot everyone is so jaded and bitter dude, relax. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/12/22 03:20 PM
