I didn't say they have to be, and I didn't say they have to be MORE confident either. I didn't mention feminism or women in leadership role at all. Its not a long comment and it's broken into helpful short sentences. I don't know how you got so lost so easily

So? It is also necessary for leadership. It isn't a negative attribute it's how the man who HAS power uses it. Men like women who are gorgeous but are unhappy with vain narcissists right?

Power is also not the same as abusive

Women are attracted to confidence, decisiveness, leadership, and a man who genuinely shows desire for her. It's easy for an abuser to mimic these attributes when their real source is narcissism and selfishness Framing this as women liking abuse is unhelpful and irresponsible. Women need the tools to identify the difference between these positive qualities and their negative counterparts, yes, But also men should be empowered and inspired to uphold these positive qualities. This post undermines b…

It matters to you that she's fun, but it doesn't matter to you if she's low libido? It matters to you that she's family oriented but it doesn't matter to you if she's ugly?

I'm not talking about live, laugh, love on the walls, I'm talking about a bathroom that doesn't reek of urine and bothering to wash dirty dishes when you invite your date over it's not high standards in my opinion. But still, it took months of wasted time for me to find a guy I didn't feel like I would have to be a maid for to stand sharing space with him. When I talk about men surviving without women, I'm talking about suicide, violent outbursts, and dealing with daily misery and low self-estee…

Cleaning Clothing Grocery Shopping/cooking Banking/billing/taxes Social This is the list you made claiming that men can use technology for instead of women. But I'm asserting that men do not do these things or do them very poorly. Often (though Im not comfortable saying the majority of) single men live in filth, eat terribly, blow their money and do nothing to maintain human to human social networks. In relationships they completely fail to live up to the woman's standards in these areas and lea…

If they are so easy to do yourself why do men consistently fail to do them? Why is it always women doing all of these things? Maybe you are perfectly capable of planning a get together, getting everyone on board, organizing childcare, food, and a schedule for it, providing the food and implementing that schedule, preparing and serving the food while continuing to host and manage it, and then cleaning everything before bedtime. But I can assure you that most men just don't do it at all and have f…

Women still do the vast bulk of cleaning, shopping, home planning, and social planning/hosting. All of it is easier and faster but they are still the ones planning, organizing, prepping and doing all of it. That isn't replacement. I don't consider men's roles replaced because they have a job and hire professionals to repair the home, buy food instead of hunt for it, and have no threats to protect me from. Their role is easier but it's not replaced either. If you want to argue that free time gave…

Your cellphone doesn't watch your kids, a woman probably does, transportation is hardly a woman's role. Cooking and cleaning are still done by women, just faster and more efficiently but that is hardly 'technology replacing women's household role' If you mean that women have more free time than from before the invention of cars then I will wholly agree. But on the other hand 'my husband' isn't spending sun-up to sun-down working the ranch and hunting for the family either

So your argument is that men take All women, and have absolutely no standards, but women do not have the right standards And must change their behavior for the good of society? Do you think That more women would sleep with disreputable men than there are men who would sleep with disreputable women?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/24 12:06 AM

I think p*** is contributed to it as much as religion has. Both have done a pretty good job at making women exist only in relation to mens needs. That being said, I do think you have interesting points that could do well with more discussion. Such as Men needing times where they are treated very softly and caringly by their partners, and women needing the space to feel like whole human beings with their own sexual nature.

Women have no issue with men who want both love and sex, as that is also what women want in a romantic relationship Calling it. Mother and w**** makes it an entirely different conversation. In a relationship, being a guy's mother means having to do all of the domestic work with no appreciation. In a relationship, being a guy's w**** means being treated as far less as an equal partner And being used for sexual gratification and nothing else. Being both a mother and a w**** Is what women call a ba…

You are not understanding that the Madonna w**** complex Is a specific defined concept by referencing it you make your whole post in entirely different conversation. No woman hears 'that guy wants His girlfriend to be his mother"and thinks it means what you are saying
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/24 10:41 PM
3

You don't understand the Madonna w**** complex as a concept then. It refers to men being unable to treat women as full beings who are both compassionate and beautiful, and also sexual and naughty. It is not a reference to men wanting both love and sex
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/24 10:35 PM

It is absolutely servile when it's to a full-grown man who never learned how to do laundry. That's what women mean when they say That a guy just wants a mother If we were talking about compassion and affection It would just be romantic love, you know, how relationships are expected to be
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/24 10:33 PM
3

You seriously can't figure out why women don't want to be servile? Why they wouldn't want to care for a grown man who never learned to be an adult or to be reduced to a sex object with no agency?

No, you're going to have to prove that more unproblematic women date problematic men in a way and a rate that is detrimental to society and significantly greater than the number of the unproblematic men that date problematic women in a way that is detrimental to society. If you don't have that then you don't have a women problem, you just have a bunch of hypocritical whining
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/24 02:59 PM

Men being mistakes are the problem. There are problem women too, they are about equal in number. Blaming unproblematic women for problematic men is where this gets stupid. We are definitely born to pet cats eat ice cream and watch tv. We are also born to have children. Regardless, your superior attitude is really off putting and derogatory. If you see women as birthing cattle then we are not on the same side

/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/24 11:12 PM

Women can absolutely be at fault for things they can also absolutely make terrible decisions about what partner to get, they can also make that terrible decision over and over again and that's really sad. I just disagree that this is a systemic modern woman's issue plaguing the majority of dating. I also agree there is definitely an anti-male bias in relationship subs, though it should be noted that Reddit is largely male So do with that fact as you will. I will say that nobody holds women more …

And you are clearly having incel revenge fantasies. Women don't have a responsibility to date you I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm also sorry that some women have such low self-esteem that they might end up with an abusive man or a man like you that blames victims instead of perpetrators
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/24 09:04 PM

So are you complaining about women hooking up or are you blaming women for men who are abusive predators?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/24 08:52 PM

What sort of accountability and responsibility are you talking about? All you have complained about is that women are dating too many men while throwing in a hefty amount of insults. You do not love women. If you think we shouldn't get to choose who we date.

Far from it, you are just derailing a conversation about men being safe in having feelings and making vital emotional and supportive bonds. I don't know why you see that as a bad thing. Go ahead and blame women for everything but I'm not having a conversation about women (or an imaginary female oligarchy?) Men could solve that problem by depending on women less, it's like you can't comprehend a word I said
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/24 05:42 PM

Complaining is a human condition, look you're doing it right now. Calling women who won't sleep with you broken and inflated seems way off when they've had the time of their lives doing exactly what you wish you could do, and still not being with guys they don't want to be with
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/24 05:41 PM

Appealing as a verb, not a noun

Ummmmmm my sweetest babydoll precious one, that's not what women on this sub say. Go to the 'for women' tag and read the numerous posts about what they expect of partners. But even saying "he's employed" and "can pay half the bills" or even "he can support me raising our children at home" is not "insatiable greed for more" The women youre thinking about are just as numerous if not extremely less common than men trying to have as much sex with as much women as possible.

No they are not. Even if you wouldn't date someone who isn't your preference, men who don't meet your list are still valid human beings that you don't treat like trash for not meeting your list. She can date whoever she wants and be as exclusive as she wants, and it's still not a rule that men must follow, she has no control over you. A woman having sex consensually with someone who isn't you isn't an insult to you. It has nothing to do with you, which is why you're so insulting I suppose. Yep, seriously. I think It would decrease men's dependence on women and grow stronger social bonds. It breaks my heart seeing men completely abandoning a social life in their twenties and having no friends at all by their thirties. I mean, I won't shy away from saying women need to pick better partners, you have a good point, but I think men need way more encouragement not to sell themselves short for any sex they can get. Men need to pick better partners, women need to pick better partners and most importantly, everybody needs to focus on being a better partner themselves rather than obsessing over the other gender. It's not women's job to make men more moral by rewarding the moral ones with sex

Physically inferior? Yes obviously. Physical superiority is attractive and men are biologically bigger taller and stronger on average. The preference for men being confident and assertive is because then it feels like you can rely on them. That's a stupid metaphor that demeans women AND men. A pencil that goes into many sharpeners will be useless, the sharpener is always going to be valued. See how stupid that is? The fact that women can get sex easily if ANYTHING devalues men in the fact that it has created the biggest supply and demand inequality in dating than ever before. I agree so much with the need for compassion, men feel worthless and disillusioned en mass, it's brutal. I do think that social media and bottomless male attention HAS increased the amount of female narcissists considerably but it's increased male narcissists considerably too. Acting like the entire gender has been poisoned is the same as taking any misandrist talking point to heart too. Men aren't monsters and neither are women. Mostl…

You're the one bringing up worst case scenarios as a deterrent to dating, Death is the worst for women closely followed by abuses of all kinds. Sure it's less common than divorce but the stakes are much higher. I also don't think worst case scenarios hold much weight when deciding to enter into a relationship. I'm also NOT arguing that women have it harder. I'm arguing the opposite. Women complain because these things are bothersome and it's a free country. It's also valid complaints. But it is …

That tension exists in the opposite as well with sex, but that is universal, and women's financial independence reduces our need for men in order to achieve our desires. We can support being single mothers, achieve our own status through success, and it is profoundly more acceptable to be a single woman than it ever has been. All we NEED men for is love and if that love comes with a ton of burden than we can live without it.

Women are not companions, they are not partners, they are not even spectators. They have become adversarial, parasitical, detrimental, and just all around toxic and hellish as fuck in men's lives. From what I can tell this is why you are being downvoted, you are calling women subhuman, and not making a reasonable argument about relationships being increasingly unsatisfying for men like I suspect you think you are. By and large this sub has no problem with men opting out of dating
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/24 04:47 PM

Men complain waaaaay more than women about the dating market (for good reason, they are on the demand side) when women complain it's because men are being absolutely foul online, lying and manipulating to get sex, or because their boyfriends/husbands are not pulling equal weight. The women who are players and misandrists and selfishly out for themselves are trash and get famous for being controversial. Just like misogynistic icons for men. The majority of women and men want the same things out o…

In the majority we do (unless it's just for casual sex). But if there are multiple long term potential guys interested then the one that she's most attracted to is going to get her attention. Its the same for men except they prioritize long term potential even less so idk what the complaint is
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/24 04:12 PM

That's just supply and demand again though. If you have a lot of offers for anything you're going to try and choose the best for yourself. For men that's as hot as possible while still getting love and low maintenance costs, for women that's as successful as possible while still getting love and not abused. The root is just that men's eagerness gives women the opportunities

I think men tend to be way more laid back than women, even to the point of laziness, and in the worst cases to selfishness and weaponized incompetence. But that is FAR from being competitive, it's the opposite of active competition

This is more true for men, not women

There is always highly upvoted responses from women who say they want and feel more comfortable with men they know and have a vibe for, it's because it's true. Casual sex can be unsatisfying and at worst dangerous. Women prefer knowing their partner is not a psycho before they are vulnerable. This OP is clearly rage bait

Oh, I didn't realize you were a full-blown conspiracy theorist. I don't believe it's the end of the world and even if it were, it's not because women joined the workforce, sorry
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/24 11:06 PM

I don't foresee women ever being taken out of the workforce, the economy would have to improve in such a dramatic fashion that we could confidently provide for a family on a single income and if that happened a lot would change along with it. So who knows I do think there will be far more unwanted births which will set women far back on average. But a lot of women are still going to have financial success especially consider the education gap that is widening

Do you have any sources that show Earl was being harassed?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/24 01:33 AM

I'm talking about the harassment itself, I've only heard about it in reddit comments and no where else. Just comparing the lack of funding to the disadvantages men face in general by third parties
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/24 09:19 PM
2

I'm not saying all causes start with a martyr or all martyrs have successful reforms. I said I'm sorry that Earl's death didn't result in a successful reform. It didn't result in men using collective action to influence policy into more equitable funding of shelters. There was no backlash movement calling for men's shelters despite the fact that it is inspiring how much Earl overcame and sacrificed for his fellow men when he didn't receive the funding that he asked for. If you want to take his s…

I think it's sad that his legacy is that men WONT help other men because of what he suffered. Instead of it rallying men together to support one another even more. I'm not a feminist and I agree there needs to be government funding for male centers, but you're also ridiculous for claiming women didn't fight and advocate for shelters. You think feminists can stop male shelters being built but can't influence the building of women's shelters? You can't have it both ways.

But it is not unreasonable to take the time to be explicit that it is an emotional and spiritual need not a physiological one and you aren't entitled to it

That actually seems like a great analogue to one another. Maslow has intimacy and social acceptance on the same level of needs, under the umbrella of love and belonging

They are way more common than you think

I think there is a pushback because of the fear of male entitlement, not sexuality in general. I was sexually abused and this whole topic is dangerously close to telling me and other victims that we were forced because our abusers 'needed' it, or other adjacent arguments.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/24 03:29 PM

Maslow doesn't have sex on his hierarchy of needs at all, but 'intimacy' is three categories from the fundamental physical needs. 'Intimacy' does not necessarily mean 'sex' as a side note, and it is on the social needs level. So if you define the "need" for sex as an aspect of the need for love and belonging (which Maslow does) then I agree, with the caveat that you can achieve intimacy in other ways too. Again, it all comes down to how you define need and you have to understand it's less import…

It depends how you define need
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/24 02:45 PM

Like it's been said elsewhere, you have to define need. You won't look like a walking corpse if you don't get sex. You could be miserable if you never get any kind of affection, but it doesn't cause death. Could it cause depression that leads to suicide? Of course, that's possible. But is it also possible to live a sexless life and still be happy and find purpose? Yes, of course.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/24 03:39 AM

The original post asked about sex, not affection
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/24 01:27 AM

Affection is different than sex
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/24 12:58 AM
11

You should put that need in your post. Is sex a need for men to be happy? Is sex a need for men to relax? Is sex a need for men to feel valid? Those are relevant questions. Leaving it just as 'need' is abstract and open ended. Most people will have to default to "need to survive" like oxygen and food. So no. It's not a "need" in that sense

"BEWARE I LIVE". It's only funny because it's truuuuue simps are going to simp. And women will push their advantage because there are only benefits and no consequences. Unethical but it is human nature. I condemn it but I understand it

I think it's a bit premature to insist the patriarchy is over, especially given the last 8 years politically. Other than that I see your point. Hot women have unlimited power romantically and its diminishing returns the further down the attractiveness scale you go. Men built the scale with their money and attention, women just leech off of it and try and climb it as high as possible
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/24 10:53 PM

It's not for women to change. Men are the ones being disadvantaged
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/24 10:14 PM
4

I'm a bit confused. It sounds like feminism was winding down and fading, then women came under attack by men in power, and feminism came back with a vengeance in justifiable defense. So isn't that truly the fault of the patriarchy like the feminists said? I'm purely going off your comment here, no disrespect meant
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/24 10:05 PM
2

I'm not sure to be honest, but I feel like the answer lies in understanding the ways that feminism has been successful in dismantling the gender expectations put on women and using similar tools. I honestly believe it will even out as just a matter of time, (in the big picture, like a generation or two) because that's the way social expectations have been moving. But this isn't a scientific conclusion, just a hunch

They are paying for a service. I don't consider myself to be paying my mechanics rent when he fixes my car. I don't consider men to be violent murdering rapists and you shouldn't consider single women to be living off of donations from simps. Both would be ridiculous
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/24 08:31 PM
5

It should be ignored in the same way that men murdering their wives is ignored. And I'm pretty sure that is more frequent than men paying women's rent when they aren't in a relationship. Extreme examples are not helpful when discussing average peoples relationships
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/24 08:09 PM

But it is enough to be an outlier and should be ignored in the discussion of gender politics on the whole

While I agree that women wanting freedom from restrictive gender roles who still expect men to be completely sacrificial in the dating process are hypocrites, I also think that is limited to top percentage women looks wise. They are over flowing with pretty privilege and hordes of men are going to give them whatever they want regardless of the situation. I suspect the bulk of women expect some sexist favoritism in dating to a degree, but not having Simps pay their rent like this thread assumes m…

He does a lot for me, but this is a topic about what I do for him. There's nothing wrong with taking care of your partner in selfless way.
