It’s because she left the scene, drove to her ex-boyfriend’s house who called his lawyer. That lawyer was there when the cops showed up and prevented the cops from interviewing her or doing a breathalyzer that night. They couldn’t prove she was DUI. Her father is a very successful entertainment lawyer and made her take a plea and do some jail time. Since she hasn't been elected yet, there's a huge possibility she won't get elected. This was the right move by the DNC.
