Add a finger or two (or three), don't know why none of the comments say this

We are on the independent train, but maybe not as far as you had expected. And note how most anti-feminism movements are spearheaded by older conservative men. Lmao at that last part though, if anything I think it's women who need help being less reliant on men. I agree that men need to be less reliant as well, but I'd say it's more important for women right now. Men are free to go do what they want and be self-reliant, but women are more limited in that freedom. Like I said, most of the rights …

Yeah that's what I was wondering about as well. And it wasn't specifically cheating btw, cheating/leaving her for a man in general. Maybe it's a fear of the unknown, not knowing what to expect in terms of loyalty, like what would happen if they were dating and he found a man attractive. Won't know until I ask her though, I'll come back here if/when we talk about it again

Transitional periods are constantly happening. I personally relate to what you describe here, I'm in the older part of gen z (00's were my childhood). If you had asked me like 3-5 years ago I still would have said that I want to get married and have kids. I found it difficult to imagine wanting something different because again, I didn't know any better. But over time it just sort of clicked for me, that I can have a wonderful and fulfilling life without marriage and kids as well. I'm noticing m…

She said she wouldn't date a bi man so I assume one that is already out, but I think the same would apply if he came out during the relationship. I can ask her about it next time I see her if you have specific questions?

Women have more rights than ever but that doesn't mean society suddenly stopped being patriarchical, it's been women catering to men and men expecting this because that's how it's always been. This influences both men and women growing up and the expectations they have of relationships. So while it may seem illogical that women put up with all that, it doesn't surprise me one bit.

Not hypocrisy I think since he's not contradicting himself, but he'd be setting double standards for sure

A friend of mine said this recently, it didn't have to do with masculinity. When I asked why she said that she's afraid he'd cheat/leave her for another man. She doesn't have this fear with him and other women it seems. I think because bi men are more likely to realize they are this at a later point in life, meaning they probably still have some exploring to do in this avenue increasing the chance of him cheating/leaving the woman he's dating. That's just my guess though

Sifting through men who just want to sleep with you is tiring and very demotivating. So no, it's not "fun"

What if the woman also wanted to get laid, something wrong with that? Even if she's looking for a ltr, he's leaving the next day, so that wasn't going to work anyway

So, again, your solution to this problem is to keep people away from toxic environments instead of trying to fix that toxic environment? You know that doesn't solve anything right? It just allows the problem to continue. Let me follow your logic here. You're saying it's different for women because with them it's sexual assault. What about all the men that get sexually assaulted? Because that has been happening since before women joined too. Do we cherry pick them and forbid them to join the army…

There has been abuse in the army long before women joined. Abuse isn't the problem, it's a result of the problem. If the army is a breeding ground for abuse then there is a problem with that environment/culture, not with women being there in the first place.

The solution isn't keeping women from the military, it's stopping the abusers. It's so weird to see how you phrase it, as if it's the women's fault for being abused since they chose to join the army. Abuse is always the abuser's fault, not the one being abused.

The problem isn't you not believing people who mislead, it's you assuming people mislead without actually know if they are. Of course be careful in dating in general, but it sounds like you need to process your trauma and find a way to stop projecting it onto the female population as a whole

I'd say great, I think everyone can benefit from reflecting on what they want from a partner. If anything it's a green flag

Do you think people become fake when they try to manage the bias people have against them? Not trying to start an argument btw just curious

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
