I’m going to reply in good faith and list only a few laws that have beeen passed or have been proposed by the right that do, in fact, target the LGBTQ community: SB 458: “LGBTQ+ Erasure Act” that would prohibit LGBTQ+ people from bringing claims of sexual orientation or gender identity discrimination in areas like employment, housing, public accommodations, health care, credit, and education. It would also require applications and records such as marriage license, death certificates, cemetery in…

How is this thought process NOT sexist/racist/homophobic though? Now that straight white men aren’t the only ones being considered for these positions, content is lacking in quality… according to who? Since the gays, women, and POC (other tax-paying citizens who deserve the same opportunities) DARED work their way into the industry… reviews have not indicated your sentiment actually. Sounds more like personal bias than anything.

You may not personally care but you are supporting a party that is actively attacking the LGBTQ community so it doesn’t really matter. Edit: spelling

So it’s either that they can’t afford to fight or the mother is lying on them? It’s not that they don’t want to bare the full responsibility or are actually terrible fathers? I’m willing to admit that there are cases of privileged women who will ensure that they win custody, but we must acknowledge that it’s not the majority (as this sub makes it out to be). I’ve yet to see one post on this sub that acknowledges where this stems from so that makes it seem like it is a widespread issue. I have fe…

I don’t ignore anything in feminist subs, I don’t visit them. What posts am I ignoring on this one that is more than men venting and posting articles about women committing heinous crimes to say “See! I told you they do bad things too”… like no shit Sherlock, no true feminist said they didn’t. It’s just not the “ah-ha” you think it is and it doesn’t really prove any point. The posts who do actually talk about men’s rights find some way that it’s feminist’s fault, like it’s not the ideas of how s…

Exactly. Hire a maid and a sex worker. The issue is they are entitled and don’t want to pay for it. They definitely don’t want a women who is choosing to expose her body for her benefit, that’s why they hate OF and instagram models but have no problem with the creepy pages posting their gfs unknowingly.. women shouldn’t have that choice. Basically, most men don’t even really like women, they just sexualize them… at least from all the Bs I see on this sub, which seems to hardly post anything that…

That is definitely what it is. Women take care of themselves if single. They are taught that they need to be self sufficient. Having a job, home, car, good hygiene, and the ability to cook for yourself is seen as normal requirements to function as a self sufficient adult. Women aren’t pat on the back for it and they haven’t been taught to expect those responsibilities to shift once they are married, this is quite the opposite for men in our society however. They either can’t do half of those thi…

Well, that’s just lazy. No one said women were perfect, they are responsible for when they perpetuate this bullshit but the fact remains that men started all the shit you guys put on “society”… like all these problems didn’t just mysteriously appear one day. Here’s the question, since I’m in my little ignorant bubble… from where did these ideas originate? While you’re explaining that to me, I’m still waiting to hear how you reached your last conclusion. Hint: if you don’t have a logical explanat…

There’s been no correlation drawn between women having higher rates of suicide attempts and being single. It probably has to do with the rates of SA and unrealistic standards that a large proportion of men seem to think women don’t suffer from. That statistic of women being happier is since 2019 and it’s in women of all ages. There’s incels on both sides, I never said there wasn’t. It’s not “society” in general that doesn’t care, it’s MEN that don’t care. Who is getting little boys “laid” by gro…

Not really. Being a feminist means different things to everyone. Some think it means being completely taken care of, others think it means being a second mom to their partner. What it means by definition is “the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes”. You can be a feminist and a hypocrite, especially as a white woman. Intersectionality is a bitch. At the end of the day idk her enough to say one way or another and I judge men off the stuff they say, not what partner…

They aren’t too high, they are the bare minimum to function as an adult. The men who get that will find mates and pass those values along and the lazy nature that exists will phase out. I’m sorry but every woman I know does those things and no one is patting them on the back. I know many men who don’t comprehend why this is so difficult. Why would women want to drag you behind them as they try to set their life up at a young age? They are giving you a chance to be alone and get your shit togethe…

I never said that was my type. I said being kind and taking care of yourself as a grown man is the bare minimum, not even just as a partner but as a human being. I’m not necessarily mature but I wash my ass and can take care of myself because I’m an adult. Everything else are just assumptions you made. I don’t know many women who want a man-child, why not just have an actual child at that point? For those who do, that’s on them… however judging by the growing loneliness I see in these subs, that…

Literally just being a kind adult. The general consensus is: Cook meals, clean up after yourself, split chores, meet your partner’s emotional needs, plan dates as well… basically, pull your weight. Now if women want a man who open doors for them, pay for their meals all the time, have a certain body type, maturity level, or education that’s on the woman to find the partner who also enjoys doing those things… which is what they’re trying to do and that seems to be a problem. I’m just confused as …

Considering you’re probably in the pile of unwanted men, I can see why you would be delusional. How do you truly believe that this is fantasy when you are all in this sub complaining about this being the reality? Is it trolling if it’s the truth? Look up some basic stats friend. Women are definitely happier single and unmarried.. they aren’t in subs complaining about dying virgins are they? Here’s your reality check.

No. I never suggested that there’s anything wrong with wanting a partner. I am suggesting that women are deciding that it is easier to be alone than have a shitty one. I think men here are baffled at the change in expectation because they think the two options are men who are outright vile and them (who are doing the bare minimum). They fail to see that the other men (the ones who match those standards) exist… ones who do the bare minimum and throw a tantrum when being asked to do better are not…

There aren’t two classes of guys or even people. There are guys who are outright jackasses, there are those who are “nice” (I’m going to keep using this term because it’s pertinent to the point I’m trying to make and you will see why) and then there are genuinely kind guys. The outright assholes will always be here, yes. Those have never been difficult for women to avoid. The tricky/sneaky ones were the “nice” guys. The ones who feigned ignorance when being asked to do a simple chore (weaponized…

I suppose because of the general assumption of what it is women are setting their standards on. Why are you under the impression that they are going for violent Neanderthals? It gives the “nice guy” vibe which is rarely genuine and petty.

This further supports my suspicions that the men having these issues with women don’t even really talk to them as friends… do you think the standards that are increasing are based on looks? Because they’re not. Hell, we are still finding out what the female gaze actually is and it’s not Captain America or Thor. The standards are for how they are being treated… so why would they be stuck with the shitty meathead guys when that’s the opposite of what they’re looking for? The ones running to the ca…

Either go about their lives with their friends as they have been (there are countless studies saying that single and childless women are the happiest group and that society highly overestimates how much they value having a bf/husband) or be with the men who haven’t gone to the “man caves”.

Why are you under the impression that women receive unconditional love? Is this all women or only “attractive” ones? Is this including women who are POC? Because black women are seen as the least desirable. Are we talking about fat women? Because they are constantly body-shamed and/or ignored in a group of friends. These seem like conditions to me.

A few things. Yes, men do have legitimate barriers to equal rights. The right to resources to mental health, the right to not be drafted into war, the right to a fair custody battle, and the right to fair trial. Let’s not conflate that with benefits you would simply like to have. Men have the right to have doors opened for them, beers bought for them, bags carried for them, and friends assistance given to them. Women do buy men drinks, women hold the door open for people (including men), women d…

As a black person? Nothing. Just as feminism may speak for the sex of a black woman but not her ethnicity. Feminism lacks intersectionality. Especially when you consider that white women bare little to no risk in speaking out on social issues. Like, it’s nice I guess but they are some of the most protected people in the US. The amount of times they have easily manipulated situations because of the skin color and sex is telling. As a man, I believe the original purpose behind feminism was to crea…

That’s funny. Aren’t all of the barriers that republicans are trying to arrange and have arranged in the past emotion-based? Who else cares enough to make these things difficult to accomplish due to their personal beliefs or religion: interracial marriage, gay marriage, birth control, LGBTQ access to healthcare, abortion, and the support for the poor. I mean really. The left constantly present facts that these beliefs go against our constitution and you can try to split hairs because “the consti…

Lol I’m a man and I don’t consider myself a feminist, I just have common sense. I’m not conflating men with being dangerous, I’m explaining why it’s important to have healthy ways to express emotion. Specficially, men who don’t learn how to communicate effectively either suffer from depression (a good reason for us to process our emotions) or lash out and hurt other people who are often times women. If the shoe doesn’t fit, don’t wear it. You are the one being disingenuous by putting words in my…

Gender is literally defined as social behaviors or beliefs that are culturally constructed. Sex is male or female. Just because you’ve never opened up a sociology or biology textbook doesn’t mean the contents within those books doesn’t exist and therefore are not true. Some of you really shout your ignorance proudly… a lack of knowledge is not a flex.

Women should definitely be held accountable. I don’t put up with shit like that, idgaf if you’re a woman or a man. With that being said, we can’t ignore the blatant statistics of DV and not only that, but DV that ends in the death of a partner. Even the way women are taught that a man putting his hands on them (boy pulling a girls hair in class) means he has feelings for them and simply has no other way to express them. That’s one of many examples that shows the change needed in how we raise our…

“The capacity to be aware of, control, and express one's emotions, and to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically.” There you go. The literal definition of emotional intelligence. Can you withhold an argument without resorting to logical fallacies ie ad hominem. Attacking my intelligence doesn’t take away from the point. It actually speaks more to your debating skills than anything. Calm down, this is a situation where that emotional intelligence comes in handy. Just be…

“From sexual harassment and gender-based violence, to the gender pay gap and relationship breakdown, the attitudes and behaviour of boys and men are hugely influential.” Did you even read the article? Considering that when men are taught inappropriate/violent ways to express emotions whether they be anger, sadness, etc. it tends to hurt other men and women, yeah the way they’re raised is a big influential factor. How else would we develop poor coping skills and communication? I was taught that m…

Meh, healthcare has become very for profit. Nurses are leaving the field in droves due to the poor pay and working conditions, there’s also a nursing shortage so they are very much in demand. NBA players don’t get paid what they do because there’s a shortage of incredibly talented basketball players out there, but because they bring in that revenue with their games… the same reason people justify WNBA players getting paid less. Healthcare is one of the richest businesses in America, this is in l…
