We’ll. Maybe. I think they’re lonely, but yet it really isn’t a priority. It’s as if they would like a yellow kitchen, but it just doesn’t seem worth the effort.

I think you gave yourself your answer. Not in the “they’re aiming to high” that PPD loves to tout, but in the fact that they are human. Of course they can be just as lonely as men. Yes, they can find men that are willing to be with them privately to fill their own needs, but here’s where women are typically different from men. (now for some sweeping generalizations..) Where a wealthy man can date an “out of his league” woman and be proud of the- “she’s with me for my maturity and stability-menta…

😂 The Washington Examiner determining that liberal women are unhappy!! Lol. That itself makes me so very happy! I’m sure Fox News agrees. In the same vein- my 7yr old niece says that “girls rule and boys drool.”

Only problem I see is his lack of self awareness- not a FWB but..as long as he is fully honest with her- (don’t dream of a non-existent future here) why not? You describe her as a “young escort” are you trying to say she’s got other paid partners? He (and she) best keep it clean. He has other priorities (so hopefully does she) and both are healthy and happy with it. I think it’s kind of a creative solution. But you- ick. Bc she’s a 10/10 you find it ok for him to pay his own bills and clean his …

Yep. But it doesn’t work if your interests are to common or vague. My bf and I totally bonded on hobbies and interests, but they were pretty niche. I would totally match with someone that would go for a bike ride or hike with me. It would be a fun first date and especially if there was a group going(for safety- female) It also shows he actually read my profile and might be interested in the whole me.

The idea that you think you’re “doing nice things for them” by hanging out with them or getting drinks together is probably the creepiest thing I’ve heard all week, but it’s Monday and there’s a lot of PPD to come.. I better stop reading so you can hold number one for a while.

Not disclosing that you’re using dating to search for sex alone is dishonest. Not the crime of the century. But yes, dishonest. To be upfront and say- “hey, I’m really not looking for anything beyond a nice evening or two. I’m just not able to give more than that right now.” Is in no way dishonest or jerky. And waiting for her to specifically ask you about exclusivity is purposefully elusive and jerky- yep. Y’all know the general dating tact is to date until someone clicks, then to go exclusive.…

That’s the point. Make it some campaign that targets the right. Something about make murica strong again. I don’t know. I’m not a marketer. But to make it appeal to the right, for just this reason. That was my original point.

This point is valid, but take it one step further- how many of the young men that commit these crimes are from families where their emotions are encouraged and thoughtfully discussed? I don’t see a lot of left wing mass shooters. Guns are just as available to them. It doesn’t undo the public’s part in raising a child, but what would a national campaign about caring for our boy’s emotions do to this demographic? It is almost exclusively the ‘Murican boys with this type of backlash. It seems it wo…

I think you’ve just identified(again) your own issue here. Flirting and reading signals are sometimes a risk. You have to have the confidence in yourself and her to even flirt back. Too many missed chances and she will give up. How risk averse are you? Don’t go over the top, but it sounds like you know you’ve walked away from some women that were interested.

This is golden. Considering that the next generation traditionally and still today is raised primarily by women. Financially speaking- child support and/or? welfare does nothing more than pretty much 1/2 of the bare minimum of $ to feed and keep alive said population. The literal existence of humanity rests on the shoulders of women and yet- (society?) doesn’t expect women to be responsible? (as responsible as they expect men to be?!?) And, to be extreme, since this is where we’ve started.. Just…

Faulty logic. If so, what is at fault when there are no children? Same follows- across the board- children or none, married men live longer.

😂 So you’re saying that divorced men are worse off or better off post divorce? Lost your damn mind! It’s actually a cliché it’s so common to see a post divorce man falling apart at the seams. Not due to cash or assets either. No one is living in 1975(except for a few men here, obviously) women walking into marriage with more assets and out of marriage with fewer is fairly common now. Still, these men are train wrecks post divorce. I think you’re attributing personal choices to destiny based upon…

Nah. Relationships ebb and flow. I didn’t mean slow burn out. Just that life happens around your LTR. I am glad you are pleased with what you have. We had a lot hit us very early in our relationship. Honestly- if we didn’t both feel awfully lucky to be there one of us would have bailed. We were both amazed we found one another. Lucky. Both had other choices, but chose each other. Not out of “nothing left out here, I guess I’ll choose you” No one “settled”.

The rest- fair. Your life your choice and Im glad you’ve got what you want. The last part.. I didn’t (and won’t again) get married until I have a “this is it. I really want to spend my life with this person. They are perfect for me!” Also fair to be said- notice “won’t again” : I am divorced after a very long and pretty successful marriage. We are still friends, but I’m not sure anything is happily ever after with our circumstances. But if I started with “good enough” I think we’d have fizzled f…

That makes me kind of sad for you and Mrs. Barely-moral. But, at least you have “she/he was more desperate when we met” to lean on in tough times.😑 I would prefer a relationship that isn’t going to crumble just bc a hottie glances his way and middle age man perspective goggles make him think he might have “a shot.” Also, I’d be a little sickened if I felt I was walking through life with “Mr. good enough.”

Why would you assume that I’m wrong and not yourself? Lol. They’ve been very good liars or I’ve been dating down my whole life then. Either way. It’s been pretty stellar. I do see conventionally good looks as less alluring than most of my friends tho. Quirky, cute, funny, charming and smart all rank higher than looks, $, and status for me. Wait? Maybe I’m on the wrong sub.. does anybody have cookies here?

No. It really isn’t a problem per se. Just that OP doesn’t realize that he’s the only guy he’s describing. Not every guy thinks like him, but he’ll describe it as if “all men” think his way, bc it excuses the less palatable portions of his attitudes. You can hide behind “all men” you can hide behind “I’m just being objective” but neither actually works. He’s just describing himself as he is now(with no choices) and what he’d be like if he had more choices.

But that’s the point- when you meet someone you vibe with and everything is right- they might be average, but you won’t recognize it. They’ll be super attractive to you. You might not be able to state why, but that curve to her cheek-adorable, that mole on her lip- beauty mark… No one wants to be the “settled for” partner and the moment they get that sniff they owe it to themselves to walk away. Alone, even if you’d rather be paired, it’s nothing next to “settled for”.

Honestly, women don’t want lies, but lies are sometimes better than the truth— ie, getting the creeps when this guy muses that “other guys just want to f you cuz they’re out of your league, I’m willing to deal with your face LT”. Ew! Are you actually trying to say this is a character flaw? OP just told her all she needed to know. And she did the right thing. Shut the fuck down. See, OP can’t read the minds of these other men, but he sure said a lot about what was going on in his mind. 😑

ALL people are seeking LTRs with people who have choices. Is anyone LOOKING for a LTR with someone just willing to settle for you bc they have no other choices? If you’re a man, you feel you have no choices, and are settling to be in your present LTR - you’d better learn to lie well, and fast. I’d have nothing to say, but “goodbye”.

This is a valid point. I’d love to see ages of respondents tied to this study. Bc I think women do tend to get married younger as there is constant, unrelenting pressure on young women to do so. There is also a Disney lie marketed mostly to women of “happily ever after” that again acts as further pressure to jump into marriage, and before you hit 30! Men are allowed and encouraged to wait. Especially by other men- like this sub “your options get better as you get a little older.” Now you think a…

Confidence in dating means you believe in yourself enough to know you deserve to be there with her. This shows by you enjoying yourself and being present. You don’t arrive with a list of questions or conversation topics. Instead, you just want to know about her. You also share about you. And.It’s.Fun!!!

I think maybe you should bring your query to older lesbians. Funny thing- odds are solid that they feel similarly to older heterosexual women. The problem is not that they are jealous. The problem is they have all helped a friend get back to whole after an older man used her youth as his plaything. She believed it was more. Maybe he told her it was more? But either way, she aged out of his fancy and fell back to her girlfriends to make her whole again. Not even saying he played up the LTR. It ta…

It is almost never related to the man’s appearance or behavior in these cases, unless he is ugly. -I find it funny that when you are responding to your own pondering, you only answer to the looks portion. That’s the problem with trying to see another’s viewpoint, it’s always through your own glasses. Women do, undoubtedly react to good looks, but his attitude, his humor, his opinions are so much more!!

So- make sure to lose your job, be so stupid that it would be embarrassing to introduce you to friends and family- just shut your mouth, look good, display basic hygiene, and show that you have some rhythm. Lol This is a ridiculous assertion. Livin’ your best life with random thirsty women every week and never a second date.

That’s a pile of crap from a bunch of butthurt men that just want to sit around and lick their wounds. (There are female equivalents as well) There are some women that suck. Of course there are. Letting their action speak for the entire population is stupid misogyny and a philosophy destined to end in “I’m the only one good enough to be in my world.” There are genuine people out there. Both men and women. To deny it is to push an agenda and ignore reality.

This is the best idea. Date for fun. To debate concepts, to hike trails, to try a new coffee spot, to get to know someone. Don’t become the weird old creepy dude that smells like hotdogs and talks to the FedEx guy for company. 50% of the people in the world are women. Friends, coworkers, sisters, mothers, daughters, and partners(dates, spouses..) I only mention this bc OP reasons listed all have a “he-man-women-haters-club” vibe rolling through them. The more time you spend on the “women ain’t w…

You didn’t say “satisfying” you said “consistent and enthusiastic”. I was just responding to what you wrote. Satisfying is a very different thing. And who said normal isn’t satisfying?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/21 08:03 PM

I think this is key and point here. It seems a large % of men read “dating” and think “a means to an end- sex” If “consistent, enthusiastic sex” is your end, you’ve lost. LTRs will have some wild romps and some “you want it- ok, I can roll with that” sex. Walking away when the sex becomes normal is kind of pitiful and sad. That’s exactly when women get comfortable and adventurous. And.. that’s what leads to the “Chad” persona. And the “Chad wannabe” persona. Most women walk into dating with “mee…

Reality Check: Women participate in both porn and video game consumption. These two vices tend to be singled out as they are addictive and often become excessive and damaging. They are being used excessively when the time there exceeds time exercising or generally enjoying yourself doing other things, or they are hampering your ability to thrive in any way in the real world. Women especially hold a disdain for men with porn or video game addictions as the girls portrayed in both tend to feed a f…

What kind of misogynistic bs leap is this? The stats don’t say what you’d like, so they obviously mean something else. No. That’s not the way logic works.

Not fat and never thought I’d go for bald, but my last work crush was pretty much cue ball bald! And, Hell yes! Bald isn’t a deal breaker for many women, but ya gotta have a pretty head.
